    I have an A buy having a hard time finding parts for my cultivator. I bought it and was missing parts. It's a manual set up. If anyone has parts for sale I would be interested

    Everyone screaming Spring is here...My experience butt sitting back "Saying yep, we'll see."
    I'm glad to see I'm not alone in the thoughts that the cold weather is over. I'm in NW Georgia and my Tomato plants are just now popping the top of the soil making an appearance. Peppers have been transplanted into bigger cups and only beginning to set true leaves.
    God Bless, and have a wonderful rest of your day.

      I'm in NE Texas and one of my old farming friends reminded me yesterday, farming is a gamble. Here, we gamble against a late frost or early Texas heat with corn. I planted my first patch of corn yesterday but I share those thoughts that we've not seen the last of this winter.

    The 140 and Super A sure did a good job. I do not use 30 oil in tractors. Due to our climate, I run 15W40, as I I start them in as cold as 0F. You'll get the parts you need to install a fast hitch on your Super A. You're in the best place to find them. Thanks so much for the video.

    Thanks for sharing the video Joey. Enjoyed watching the tractors working. Yeah I like to plant corn early but if wait till the first of May it'll out do the early planted corn if it gets a frost or something. Sammy is learning how to do things and growing up and it's good to see him growing into his own person. Be safe getting back home you two.

    Great video Joey. I love the super A. I wouldn't mind having me one but like you have said before the funds have to be there. Cant wait to see Sammy driving it. Down here in GA i planted my potratoes the 18th and my broccoli and collards shortly after. So many people down here try to plant earlier than that and i tell them the same thing a cold snap is always in the making. Our planting dates are a little earlier than yours but a trick i learned is if your potatoes have popped up and you see a frost coming just hill back over them and it'll protect them. Good luck to yall and God bless!

    Something to consider when adding fast hitch is the helper spring. You will need to replace inner rock shaft with one from 100 thru 140. The super doesn’t have the ear on rock shaft to connect the spring. Keep up the good work

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  10 місяців тому

      I thought hard about it but I had decided against it. If I think about it I’ll show why in one of the videos. To long to type. Lol

    Looking good Joey. The real value of the Super A will be listing and cultivating with it while leaving the hitch on your 140 for your heavy work. I've cultivated with the disks more than once. Love Sammy's ball cap!

    Hello Joey. I attempt to wait a day or to to comment (not always successful) as I enjoy reading the comments and usually watch the video again. I’m happy you, Roger, and Sammy have gotten the Sammy Super A back into a useful tool. I certainly enjoyed all aspects of making it field ready again. I do hope you will post videos of Roger’s in Super A being put to work as well. I hope you are able to be part of the live on Monday 3/4. Thanks for sharing. Stan here.

    I would recommend using the horribly expensive Hy-Tran oil. These tractors develop a lot of condensation in the gear boxes. Hy-Tran was developed to be very hydroscopic. It will absorb the moisture while maintaining good lubricity so that the gears are happy and none of the surfaces not covered in glypthol develope rust. You deal with a little more gear noise but I think it's worth the money and the noise for the piece of mind of a tractor that doesn't work every day and can't be replaced.

    I love your videos. I live right straddle of zone 8 & 7 in NE Texas. Two old timers who were long time second generation farmers are saying it's time to plant sweet corn right now. Commercial farmers one hour east of me are planting and have some sprouting. This year I laid out my rows with rolling cultivators on my Super A so either my SA or Cub will work the rows as needed. Yesterday, I planted 10 one hundred foot long rows of G90 with my Cub and 172 planter. I side dressed with triple 13 using a disc fertilize injector mounted on the planter sled five inches off the center line at a rate of five pounds per one hundred feet row. I used the 9 hole plate (POAX) that one of my old farmer friends used for years. Some say I'm rushing. I guess I can always replant with the planter which I really enjoyed. I love watching your videos.

    Yea there is no need to race and be the first one to get your stuff in the ground. I tried to play that game last year... wasn't as early as I could of been but I was early. And as cool as it was this last year up into June my late corn and first corn ended up just a few weeks apart. It caught up to the early stuff.
