The Eggrider V2 is a controller unit to get the most performance out of your Ebike with minimal installation. I wanted more torque on my Rad Power RadRunner and decided to go with the Eggrider V2 setup.

i have a rad runner plus that i like to stunt and I'm looking into making the tool more qualified for what im doing.
the slow acceleration of the stock throttle really is a huge issues.

Thank you! got 2 questions: 1.) USB port solution on hand? 2.) Is that app on your phone connected with the egg rider to customize it?
There is no USB port. And yes that app is connected via bluetooth to the egg rider to adjust all the settings.
Can you combine the eggRider with the 35 amp controller? I'd like to be able to limit the power when on the streets to keep it legal. And go unrestricted when off roading.
Great detailed review! Couple questions,(1) Do you know if this one will work with the Radrunner 1, the basic one without a display and (2) does your taillight/brake light still operated as before with this display? Thanks
Thanks yes this installed on my Radrunner 1. I just removed the stock controller unit. Yes all lights still works the same way, except with the egg rider the front headlights turn on automatically (you can set it) if it senses it's dark.

Question couldn’t you just change the settings on the stock one to 40km/h to achieve the same results as the eggrider v2?

Hi nice vid , i have question , i just got a ebike carrera Crossfire 2.0 torque is only 60nm and motor 250W nominal , can i plug in Eggrider and replace my old display , will work with any issue?

Will installing this have a effect on my battery life on my bike i had the 35 amp controller and it drastically cut down the life of my battery even on a full charge thats why i got rid of it

Do you know if you install the egg rider and change the controller settings, then take it off and reinstall the stock display, do the controller settings revert back to stock? Just asking for a friend.
I believe it's still on it, you can just press and hold the two buttons on the egg rider to reset it.
so if i buy a radrunner and instead of upgrading to the radrunner display i can just get the eggridder?and get the 25 mph and torque just by installing it? thanks for the video
Yes that is correct
did you order from USA or from Canada, and much did it cost you price and duty total. I just bought 35a controller and display from ebw from canada and it cost me in total about 350$ canadian. For my rad mini 2018. I have another rad mini 2021 and would be interested with the egg rider. Thank you 😊

can you still use the throttle only function or does it become a pedal assist only bike after installing the eggrider?

Can I buy or learn how to make the same headlight you have here? Also curious, since the Eggrider provides more torque is there a way to measure how much more power it eats from the battery? I'm mostly interested in the torque when starting off from a stop or maybe a small hill. I'm using a Rad City with the stock 48v 14ah battery. Thanks!
Yup I can make a headlight for you if you like. I believe it shows on the egg rider how many watts you are pushing, i just haven't looked at that specially while riding. It's amazing starting from a stop on any hills with this, i can't go back to stock. I am also on the stock battery.

will i need to change my controler as well, on top of the eggrider (in order to maximize speed and torque)?
no you wont need to change the controller :)

@@Spinoza11 yea it does, it has an Road setting where it keeps it set to 25 and then an off road setting where it goes faster

Does your model bike have to Bafang motor or is it the rad runner plus with the rad power bikes own made motor.. I just bought one here in europe and it’s not stamped Bafang anymore I heard from Rad that they now produce their own motors.. thanks in advance

Yup I took it all away and sold them after i settled with the egg rider.

The only drawback is no usb power supply/charge for your phone which original 860 disply has built in.
not that it is really useful to have anyways

Hi Steven! The RadCity is listed in the eggrider shop, but not the RC4 specifically. Best to ask directly at shop.eggrider.com - the customer support was super fast and friendly for me. :)
ok looks like total price is about 175.00 shipped to usa not so great but still a good option .i see these a little cheaper but eggrider only has bank transfer if you order from them .funny you can order from big game use card but eggrider you cant .eggrider is stuck in the dark ages .so unless you want to do bank transfer you gotta pay a little more .but to bad usa bike shops have no clue none stock the rad version only the mid drive .bike shops get a clue.thanks
I just bought an eggrider from their website for about $108. I used the bank transfer, because they provided the bank routing information. Expensive, but hopefully worth it!

If you're planning to unlock the throttle to go above 6kmh and you live in a bigger city in Germany, might be worth getting a license plate, as anything with throttle above 6kmh will basically count as a moped.
What about temperature is it on the eggrider

Q: Can the ER control the lights (front/rear) on the RR, and if so, how? Second; I am skeptical that the RR1 will do 25mph (or even 23) with this mod. Can we see a video that confirms this speed; e.g., using a reliable GPS speedometer app like Strava? Thanks.
Yes I can either hold the down button and the lights F&R will turn on. Or I can use the app to turn it on. Also I can program in the app to have it turn on the same time when i turn the ER on which is handy. Good idea I can try a GPS speedometer next time i'm out, will let you know.
