HEADS UP! 1,5 years of Denon S960H. This is the top model of of the S Series advertised as having ,,Hi Grade" components inside. Big functionality problems: Bluetooth connectivity problem after update. This receiver has some problems at some components like Bluetooth, low audio quality in USB at playing DSD files and navigating into this receiver with your remote control. S960H is slow at navigation into the Usb no matter if is HDD or Stick, is not optimised at navigation, having some delay, some thinking to do the Cpu process, but comparing to Denon X520bt that is instant at navigation. Of course S960 is an 8K receiver, but this is not an excuse that Denon made a terrible receiver from the perspective of the sound. In the last updates the sound was improved but the bluetooth has big interruptions in sound. And it keeps getting more terrible because in an update you can't connect your phone to S960h because it was impossible to pair due this technical problems. Denon made 4 updates in the last 2 months and it didn not succeed to fix this.

My new S960H overheated 3 times and took a dump. Even after adding fans still overheated. My old Denon with less power… never overheated.

Hi. Yes unfortunatly this is another problem of s960h but you got to listen over 60% volume to really heat up and hours and hours

I got my denon it ran great for the first day then it updated on its own if you restart your phone or tablet it worked for me

The reason probably is all computer chips in 2020 went missing they started using much cheaper chips and anything from 2020 to 2021 are all garbage. Your not alone I returned mine to after only 2 weeks..

Just got mine for $200 bucks but, it won't connect to my wifi but, maybe that's good sense the frimware are trash.

Hi. Second hand at 200$. So you have problems with wifi. Maybe because the one how sold it, knew about this problem. I did not hear about wifi problems to this model but on a specific firmware update it is possible. Denon forgot about Quality!

I have a denon X2100 .. I purchased it a few years ago. The Bluetooth has always been a problem.. connecting any wireless network wifi airplay Spotify everything is a problem with this shitty piece. Never enjoyed the music after spending so much money
