She’s like a child here, discovering a boundless power she possessed. Really-it’s like she’s playing with her voice; There is so much freedom in her sound, and the smile exemplifies it. I have no words for this performance no other than phenomenal and monumental. She knew how to move us, and you felt her fiery passion burn through every lyric. She truly was remarkable. Bravo Ms. Houston.
Very well said. She was her prime here her voice flowed like a river. She went from pianíssimo notes to fortíssimo ones without any effort. She was a magnificent spinto soprano here.
Whenever ppl talk about Whitney it’s her beauty, her (IMO unmatched) vocal talent, her downfall. My thoughts always will be - as great as she was she could’ve been so much more
It was the song that made her break the record of Beatles and Bee Gees with 6 consecutive nr. 1 hits - hers being the 7th - a record that still stands!
Just ridiculous. This is becoming one of my favorite performances from her. And she just kept going and going. Just higher & higher. Didn't miss a beat. I'm not gon sit here and nitpick my favorite parts, but she most definitely did some sick things here. She hit and held some big, long notes like it was nothing. Gifted & blessed.
Koda Whitney Houston's voice was truly god given 😍 that vocal Power, tone & purity!? We will never hear that again😞 that is a one in a trillion VOICE☝️
5:47...Is she even human??? How can ANY human being stay in perfect pitch and hit so many different keys in one breath!!! That girl was amazing for real!???
I love Whitney’s control, she doesn’t have to scream like Christina or carry on like She in church to effectively sing song. She could clearly and cleanly sing a song with soul passion and feeling with clean pop radio sound - we’ve never seen this before and never will again. The control she had over her instrument is overlooked
Ya know,I have a varied taste in music, there's plenty of great artists but just no-one makes me feel like whitney,! Her tone and her voice is like honey, it's beautiful and so is Whitney, absolutely incomparable. 💗 Whitney .✌
She was born with Gods gift to sing. I highly like her songs. May you be resting in peace singing to the angels in heaven. I thank God for all those songs and your existance and becoming a part of our past present and future life.
Such a loss, so wonderful and taken away from us all so early. She was our Whitney and will never be forgotten. God rest and bless, RIP Whitney we all miss you.
I am just so mesmerised at how fluently, geniously, effortlessly and talented whitney was at this point. No one else could ever compare to this level. X
Damn I felt that in my soul when she said "Lord if they love you won't they always love you" despite her demons she always acknowledged Jesus everywhere she went
GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing else to say! Miss you terribly Whitney The Voice Elizabeth Houston!!! Your the Greatest Singer ever! The Voice of God! Will never born again another you my beloved Nippy! God bless y’all my dears Nippians! And God bless Whitney and Krissy!🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈🌈🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The best part of this entire song is at 3:15 where she holds the very very long note and says "now I know" and "can they find their way home back to the open arms of a love that's waiting there" the entire performance is one of the best of her live, and underrated not mentioned performances of her career and I love it!! Very very beautiful and authentic she wasn't trying to be like anyone else but her and it came from above and then within.
wow i's over 30 years . Ive been to the concert in the freezing cold . it was gigantic and her rendition of where do broken hearts go made half the stadium faint !!! out of this world
Beauty wise: her face was naturally beautiful with no makeup. She has perfect nose, lips, bone structure and Unique “peach” color as Robyn says. Love her hair here , it’s age appropriate and compliments her youthful appearance and clothes. . Sometimes those wigs aged her unnecessarily and weren’t right for her, made her look like a schoolteacher. Whitney was simple not into glamour . Regardless, she could be 500 pounds and fully covered and her talent and voice would still sell
Oh my God! This is so good. I never really liked this song on the CD so I never bothered to listen to the live rendition. The end 🥰aww whitney please come back just for one day
2.10 "NO MATTER HOW I TRY" WAAAAH!!!!!! Wonderful backing and musicianship too! This is the old iconic Wembley Stadium host to Live Aid in '85, since re-bulit and still so cool
🎶 I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW 🎶 😲 I believe the answer was found in that note. Broken hearts 💔 find their way home after much needed time and healing. Whitney gave us the answer in the way she sang the end. 🌹
This is my most favourite performance. Whitney was a true genius. This isn't just incredible,, the fluency, technique, tone, its like it just takes her no effort at all. Just beautiful x
The parts I liked the best : 5.15 - The diminuendo was so stunning finishing off to a nothing, then 5.24 - she sounded like an instrument that has been auto tuned. Incredible talent at it's finest we're heard on this planet called earth.
One of my all-time favorites from Nip. 🥰🥰🥰 It was probably the video of this song that had me fall in love with her. I was four lol 😂😊 I always loved the live performances of this song. She SLAYED! 😁😄
She was literally perfect. The voice. The beauty. The acting talent. This is the definition of a super star.
Agreed, brother.
Exactly....
To think that she didn't like this song in the beginning. It's her 7th number 1.

Perfectly said
@@lougomes2912 Spinto?where?she's a lyric
No. She was a spinto. Her tessitura, tone, ease in going from fortíssimo to pianíssimo are all trademarks of spinto voices.
the greatest female singer that has ever lived, we miss you Whitney!
The way she held the note at the end. Love ❤

And she didn't even wanna sing it.

It's almost unbelievable that somebody can deliver such pitch-perfect vocals LIVE like this!!!!!! Whitney was in a league of her own. RIP
Her best live for this song. She sang it from her heart, from her true feeling.
Totally agree.
You know she did not like this song when it was presented to her. She said it ended up being one of her favorite songs to sing live.
@@toriboy25 wow, at the end she loves to sing this song live? Really? I don't know that 😲
There’s a version from Japan 1988 that imo surpasses this.
@@cinnamon709 And Madison Square Garden 1988.
This might be the best ‘televised’ performance of the song.
5:47...Is she even human??? How can ANY human being stay in perfect pitch and hit so many different keys in one breath!!! That girl was amazing for real!???
5:24 is ridiculous!!!
She was called the voice for a reason or two.
You're wording is wrong. Keys are different. Singing different keys at once is a bad thing although Whitney didn't do it here
No she was not she came from the REAL REALITY not this one
NO SHE WASN'T HUMAN SHE WAS SENT HERE FROM THE ACTUAL REALITY THEN WENT BACK RAO BLESS HER
Her face is perfect
I love Whitney’s control, she doesn’t have to scream like Christina or carry on like

Christina is awful. She thought she could sing like Patti Labelle and ended up ruining her voice and now she has permanent vocal damage.
Whitney E. Houston was exactly in the beginning of her prime here . You cannot duplicate The Voice
2021. Who's listening ? Pure liquid gold .

Her live performances gives me chills... Despite the mic acting up she sang through that.... No one will ever top her
Her placement and phrasing always amazes me. It's like perfect without even trying. How????
She makes us all realize the power of a soul on fire.
That thick velvety voice paired with her incredible emotive ability to perform is just perfect.
