The Modern Esthetician I have a question : im studying to become a nurse in Germany , but I'm not following the 4 year program , I'm following the 2 year program . does that affect my chances of becoming nurse beautician and the opportunity to do laser and botox treatments ?
( sorry in advance for any grammar mistake , but English is not my mother language )

The Modern Esthetician I’ve been obsessed with skincare my entire life, and I’m constantly told it shows. I’m turning 50 this year and have the opportunity to make a career change. Is it unusual for women my age to just be starting out?

You are a life saver! I am already licensed as a cosmetologist, but I am now going to nursing school to become a nurse to work alongside a dermatologist. I have such a passion for skin now that I want to get a job in the industry to gain experience so I can start working right away after I finish school. This video was so knowledgeable and helpful to assist in that process! I feel so motivated and driven to get to work in this industry. Thank you for all the help!

I got my cosmetology license last May and got a job at a salon. I am so grateful for the experience of working there but I quickly realized that doing hair and nails is simply not for me. I've always been really fascinated with dermatology and skincare in general and never realized that I'm licensed to work with a dermatologist until I found your channel! Thank you so much for opening up my eyes to this career and providing so much information!

If you were a cosmetologist and means you can do it all from the hair as well as the skin and nails at any given time and if you went back to school to become a instructor you actually would be able to train those that are estheticians so it's a wide range that one can get in when they have invested that 10 months to a year's time so if you got it you should be grateful because that's just like having the ultimate Platinum 😎😎😎🤔💇🏼💆🏽💆💆🏻💆🏼🤷🏼🙋🏻💇💇🏻♋️♎️♎️💯😎🤔

All I need to do is re-take my state board exam (been more than 5 years unfortunately), and attend continuing education courses. I'm so excited! Thank you for your informative videos. I am currently in school to get my RN license. It is sooo difficult, but I know it will be worth it. I was wondering if I should do esthetics school as well to go along with my RN license because I am wanting to do injections and skin care and open my own business (you can do it on your own in the state I am in as an RN.) I just have to have a medical person attached to my license for purchasing product. This journey has been crazy but so exciting!! I can't wait to see what the future holds!

    • @TheModernEsthetician
      @TheModernEsthetician  6 років тому +6

Sharlotte Lynn how exciting for you!! You do not have to have your Esthetician license. Since becoming an RN is a long and hard process, maybe hire an Esthetician to be your M.A. so she can be your right hand. She can cleanse the skin and prep the patient for you so you can have time to chart and fit more patients into your schedule and give more time for each patient while making a profit. It’s all about the experience for the patient and I have found as the office manager that estheticians make the best MAs for cosmetic nurses and Doctors!! Good luck, keep going! Let’s stay In touch!!🤗🤗😘😘🙌🙌

Hey lovely I am currently on my search for an esthetics school. I am 18 years old and I do wanna eventually advance onto Botox and fillers etc . What advice would from your expertise would you recommend? Also as a nurse do you mean similar skill set as one that is qualified to work inside a nursing home? Skincare is a passion of mine and I soon wanna branch into soapmaking etc I’m really into health and well-being. As being fresh out of high school I’ve been confused on my direction lately and not really knowing how or where to invest in a passionate craft of mine and this title is the first one I’m genuinely interested in. Thanks for this amazing video too!

please tell me what sections in the Milady as a tactician preview exam book should I be practicing on I'm thinking about buying the book in about another month before I start school in June and I just want to be able to study to make it a little bit more easier also I like to know what equipment should I mainly focus is to make sure that I know how to use with aesthetic training I like it if you could do a video to explain that and what product is good for dry to sensitive skin and what products are also helpful for other ethnicities, when will you ever get a chance to perhaps come to Detroit Michigan have you thought about taking up esthetician instructors training so that you can train new people I think you would be so helpful to the industry I feel elated and quite enamoured and watching your videos it's giving me a lot of Hope and a lot of promise that I can do this thank you so much for posting your video I appreciate it be blessed😎😎😎😎.

can you please do some new 2019-2020 videos sent you are esthetician can you give some benefits of being one in 2019 and what are some of the drawbacks of being an esthetician so I like to know do you recommend people to pay in SS an extra thousand for lash certification just asking I think it's a great idea but I dislike the fact that you can't be taught this in Esthetics school I also would like to know have you ever thought about becoming a instructor with it I think you would be very good instructor I like your videos they are so fun energetic and just very informative, so very inspiring I also would like to know what is your recommendations on a new product lines from Kylie Jenner and some of the other new ones me myself I think Dermalogica seems to be the top of the line and is there any other medical grade or non medical grade that's good for sensitive dry skin keeping it hydrated and free from acne scars and premature aging so that I can recommend those that are you know age 45 to 55 to start using thank you for your beautiful video be blessed🤔🤔🤔🤓🤓🤡🤠😇💆🏻💆🏼💆.. finally what is the highest SPF in sunscreen that you would recommend who do you get more coverage and protection with a 50 or 75 for those that are fair to medium skin tones.

Thank you for making a more modern video I hope that you will make much more I would love to see you do a video where you show the actual medical grade products that one that is a licensed cosmetologist esthetician or Barber can use on themselves and where to buy them I would love for you to also do a video on the pros and cons of esthetician because most of everyone I see on UA-cam there is cited about the hard work that they have had to do to become a esthetician but it always seems to be a bummer when it comes to getting that job and I think it's fun but I have a problem with having to do bikini waxes and heavy extractions where you have to pull out on normal amount of sebum and you know bust open huge boils as full of person you know filled up see sebum and hair that's kind of gross to me any recommendations you have I would love to hear about it and finally I've never seen you do a video on what to expect pay wise coming out of esthetician School all the way up to your first year what is the going salary and have you ever thought about becoming an instructor thank you for your time happy remaining September be blessed🤷🏼💆🏼💆🏻💆💆🏽💇🏼💇🏻💇🙋🏻🤷🏼❓❔❔❗️❔♋️♍️♎️.〰️💯💯💯💯

My end goal is to open a medspa... Im will graduate with my esthetics license in april and plan to get a job in the industry after while getting my RN. If I am an RN, would I (legally ) be allowed to do injectables on my own or would that still require the supervision of a doctor? When I say on my own, I mean at my own spa/ practice. It does vary state to state and the laws are quite loose. Im in Maine.

What about doing microneedling and all that ? Do you have to be a nurse for that too?

Yessica Morales estheticians can do micorneedling but not as deep of a needle as what a nurse or doctor can do. Call a microneedling company that you like and they will be able to help pick out what you can do with your license. I love microneedling! It’s amazing

I am a medical assistant and I really want to be a medical aesthetician. Do you think it would be faster for me to just get my esthetician license or to become an RN and go from there?
I was about to take a part time job with a dermatologist but I didn’t take it because the pay was less than my current job. I regret it now. 😞

Hi! If I want to be a medical esthetician in Los Angeles, do I need to go to LVN school and then go for the board? Or will I not need to take the board exam in California? I found a few trainings I could maybe take after I become a LVN focused around botox and fillers but I just want to have a clear game plan before I embark on this new exciting journey!

Hello, I am currently about to start an esthetics program at a local community college, but I’m debating wether I should simply get my nursing license. I know it’s difficult, but I’m going to do it either way after this esthetician program. I’m debating if I should even go for the esthetics license.

Hey my name is Courtney I’m 25 and I’m a cosmetologist but I have a serious passion for skin and really want to step into the Aesthetics industry more than hair. Skin is my true passion. Should I go back to school for aesthetician even though I already know a lot about skin and can take post graduate skin classes? Or should I go back to aesthetician school because I’m not sure if people look down on the fact that your a cosmetologist instead of an aesthetician even though you did learn skin in school and can further education otherwise

Thank you for watching!! Yes, have you heard of the Obagi Line? It is a medical grade line and their products are very effective! I love the obagi pore therapy, the active ingredient is the same as the brightening peel we preform. So it helps clear pore, brighten skin, treat breakouts and even skin texture. Heres a link to the one im talking about, let me know how you like it! amzn.to/2Gp2q63

Im in esthetics school too :) Where I'm from I can take a 2 day class outside of my school to get the laser certification in order to work with cosmetic lasers in a medi spa/ medical setting. I just won't be able to practice it until I receive my esthetics license. So I would research if your state allows those types of classes. We just can't do botox and injections in general.

Hi I just have some questions,
Working at a dermatologist as a medical aesthetician do they pay you hourly or salary?! What to expect. I’ve been a hairstylist for 5 years now working at men’s salons, I’ve done facials there but mostly haircuts and color... I’m currently taking extended classes like laser hair removal and other medical aesthetician classes , do you have any other recommendations or suggestions to get my foot in the door?! Do you think it’ll be harder for me to get hired since I did cosmetology instead of just esthetician?! Thank you for your time I appreciate it

please Tell me if a instructor license in esthetician will help more job hiring for medical, love your video. is there is there a laser training in ecstatics and Side Medical Training that one should seek or ask about when going to a school, when going to school for Esthetics are you prepared or should be prepared to do chemical peels dermal abrasions dermaplaning waxing and extractions of the hair under arms the phase etc. what are the best products that a newbie going to esthetician school should learn how to use in 2019-2020 that will be more effective for overall skin care as I see Dermalogica Liz one skin care product and I'd like to know how does that work with ethnic skin care thank you 🤔🤔🤔💆💆💇💇💇🤷🤷💃💃💅💅💅👌👌👍👍👍.
