Wow love it. I wanted to do my own build but it was decided that I might have the skills I didn't have the time. Not entirely convinced I played a major part in that decision. Been sharing this build with the decision maker and perhaps this was what we should have done instead of paying for a pre built van. Hey go. We are already enjoying days, weekends and weeks away. Nice skills, love big hammer approach.
Lovely build and a great use of space. Could you please tell me the height from floor to worktop and do you think the sink section would fit above the fridge behind your draw? TIA
Hey hello friend. First of all, congratulations for your good work. I have a doubt about the manufacture of that small door, minute 3:01, Did you cut out the door with a jigsaw? Have you subsequently reduced the size of the cutout or door? Or on the contrary, as the cutout is, can the door be edged? A hug.
Hello me again - just wondering how you secured the units to the actual van? I can see in some places it's secured to the floor but just wondering where else? Thanks
Hi Karl, Just saw your latest video on the furniture for the Transit Custom, great job as always....impressive & inspiring. Just wondering if it might be fresh in your mind on what connector / coupling you used between the flexi hose for tap inlet and the rigid speed fit pipe from the pump ? Thanks & Regards, Chris
Just come across your vid. I don't suppose you have plans for the side furniture do you ?? I have just bought a SWB 2017 Custom and would like something similar to this but as they say plans are a massive help. That said I have 2 side doors on mine
Where did you get them draw pull pop out catch things from, they are just what I am after. I'm with you on the edge banding lip, I helped a mate with the stuff doing some casino tables, the lip caused a lot of grief.
Hi Karl, great series👍🏻 I'm converting a transit custom myself and these videos help massively. One question though, how did you fix the backboard in place?
Will you be adding a double swivel for the double passenger seat? Just wondering as to whether the step would interfere as I am looking at doing something similar.
Hi, this looks fantastic. I just bought a new custom and I'm about to start my conversion. Can I ask where you got the plans for the kitchen units or is it just your own build? Thanks in advance
Great conversion! We’ve been costing up buying a Transit Custom and doing the same so really glad I found your channel. Which swivel base will you be fitting for the double passenger seat? I can only find fiddly ones with 4 bolts to turn around, no easy lever system. I can’t work out if we’ll still be able to use the under seat storage either.
theres limited choice for the transit I've fitted a 4 bolt one but I wasn't happy with it so I had to adapt the seat to make it work better, video coming soon
Looking forward to seeing it! Kiravans have a Custom double seat swivel ‘coming soon’ on their website and they hope development will be finished this summer so I may hold out for it!
The run off is very clever - you've earned a biscuit 🤣 Was it definitely your idea or was it a happy little accident? I have visions of you fitting the level indicator and it dropping down, you cursing slightly and then a eureka moment occurs. Good job anyway Karl
Just wish i could afford a van and get you to build and convert it for me as your a awesome camper converter man' top job buddy looks the dogs bo$##$@$
Brilliant series of videos mate. I’m picking up my transit custom this weekend and i’ll be using them to help me. Thankyou!
Brilliant, love the drain off pipe
I wondered where you’d got to Karl! Working on other people’s vans I guess. Top job old boy! Lots of ideas for my Custom.
your best build yet Karl. Loved your furniture making skills!

Hi Karl,
Loving your video, do you sell plans for the furniture for a ford transit custom mark 8. Cheers, Vic

Great video Karl.
can you give us an idea of what a van build would cost. Thanks x

Great job !, do you bespoke everything or are there templates to use ?
pretty much make it up as I go
Hi Karl, great series👍🏻 I'm converting a transit custom myself and these videos help massively. One question though, how did you fix the backboard in place?
I think I screwed some battens to the underside of the over shelf and the back edge of the worktop
@@KBeadle brilliant cheers! Saves me reinventing the wheel. Like the new style of videos by the way👍🏻
Karl whats the name of the rubber trim you used for the door at 3:45 the inside is a t molding but the door is a different one?

Hi Karl what material is the Gray corner where you put 2 sides of wood in.
Top class work as always Karl 👍
Hi. I have a question: how many meters of furniture board do I need to buy for this type of construction?
3 sheets
Can I ask where you got the edging strip from please ?
Great effort, definitely seems to be more space in custom compared to transporter
Looking good Karl
Love the drawer under the wardrobe
How many sheets of ply did the build take please
3 for the furniture and 1 for the drawers
Do you have to level up the van when measuring and spirit levels etc
No just square everything off the floor
Will you be adding a double swivel for the double passenger seat? Just wondering as to whether the step would interfere as I am looking at doing something similar.
Haha, you answered my question right at the end. Looking good!!.
so you added a T profile to the wall panel but what is the door trim called ? thanks
Wow. You're good bro. Really good.

About 6 million pounds
