Yuji Itadori’s Black-Flash Is Insane. Despite no one actually being able to control Black-Flash at will, Yuji is so amazing he’ll make you think he’s doing just that. Yuji Itadori doesn’t have a Cursed-Technique. It’s been hinted since the beginning of the series that one day Yuji may awaken some sort of power up but as of recording this video, nothings been confirmed at all. It's not like it’s impossible for Yuji to have a Cursed-Technique even currently in the story and it just hasn't yet been revealed, but all I'm saying is nothing has been outright stated or even confirmed. There’s been hints here and there of Yuji possibly awakening all different kinds of techniques, from blood-manipulation, Soul Swapping, Anti-Gravity to even Sukuna’s own cleave and dismantle. But there’s one card in particular that I think we’re about Yuji use for the first time in over one hundred chapters, and that’s Black-Flash. In some of his toughest fights and against his strongest opponents, Yuji’s been able to bring out one or even multiple Black-Flashes in some of the clutchest moments in the series. Even compared to Satoru Gojo, Yuji is by no means a rookie when it comes to his technique and his mastery over his own Cursed-Energy to bring out a Black-Flash. In this video I want to talk about Yuji’s Black-Flashes in the past and how I can definitely see him landing another one very soon. “The sparks of black do not choose who to bless” and yet Yuji is chosen by the sparks.
I think this means that the black flash can be used by anyone, but is made for Yuji. We don’t know anyone else that is chosen by the sparks like Yuji, but we do know that others can have the privilege of using or rather be “blessed” by the black flash.
Throughout heaven and earth Gojo alone is the honoured one & among the sparks of black Yuji is alone the chosen one.
“Blessed by the sparks” Domain Expansion where every touch is a black flash for Yuji. I would be soooooooooooo hyped

The reason why they have different colours lore wise is so that they know who sukunas vessel is and who yuta is, but that is certainly valid

I'm just really hoping we see something from Yuji soon. We really need some payoff for all this buildup and the current Sukuna fight seems to be the best time for that to happen
What if Yuji’s domain creates a boxing ring and he hits you with the black flash combo.
A black flash is NOT a curse technique tho and Domain Expansions are just extention to your Curse Techniques
@@Nana-ng1kzsome domains dont really have anything to do with the technique, gojos is the biggest example. Gojos technique is space manipulation but his domain is flooding the brain with infinite knowledge which have nothing to do with each other

With all the insane domain with such variety. It would be boring for Yuji to have a copy of Judgeman and Jacob's Ladder.
Yuji doesn't have an innate domain, nor a cursed technique, he just learned how to properly use cursed energy in order to hit harder, so him having a domain expansion would make no sense really. It has never been mentioned or even alluded to, Gojo once said that Yuji would eventually be able to use Sukuna's slashes but even that hasn't really been shown yet.
Yuji wasn't lagging behind Maki at all. they were both going toe to toe and were incredibly in sync during the fight.
Not necessarily, yeah he kept up with Maki but Maki was trying to match Yuji.
Proof of that is the fact that Sukuna was able to dodge Yuji's strike and was confident in taking Yuji down with the 10% Dismantle but when Maki joined he had to change his strategy because her durability was high enough to tank Nue's Lightning without any damage and the 10% Dismantle was weaker than Nue's Lightning who was at full power because the nerf happened after Yuji fought Sukuna.
@@fardin_king6817 If you think Maki was intentionally slowing herself down to match Yuji while fighting Sukuna you are huffing copium.
@@fardin_king6817 It's more likely that she dodged Nue's lightning which makes it more impressive because even if she did, there would've been at least a few visible scratches. I don't think anyone is durable enough to tank it besides Kashimo.
@@BoiOfTheSouth There is a page drawn where she tanked it, Takaba too although it looked more like he side stepped but regardless he wasn't really going to get any damage anyways.
@@turdrhinofiend Proper coordination is necessary when working together and she was blocking most of Sukuna's hits whereas Yuji got hit.
Sukuna only landed one blow on her with that Cleave on the ground which didn't even hurt her.
There's definitely be a deep reason why Sukuna sees Yuji as boring. To start off, in the current story Yuji has acquired some major buffs. However that still may not be enough since he's behind most of his peers. Therefore there are two things that Yuji will ABSOLUTELY need if he were to truly evolve: Selfishness and Individuality.
Yuji has been in a downward spiral especially since post-Shibuya where he has a Cog mentality where he has no regard for himself as long it makes an impact for others.
For this it all traces back to the "curse" (although well-intentioned) from his already passed Grandfather where he told Yuji to help others so that he won't be alone until his death. This unintentionally made Yuji think his purpose in life is to help others and nothing more. So when Sukuna destroyed Shibuya along with the many lives of people it completely shatters Yuji's purpose or otherwise existence thus condemning himself to death. Also why he later aqquires the Cog mentality as a way of coping.
This leads into my first point of that being Selfishness. JJK is one of many unique series where Selfishness is pushed forward unlike other Shounen with the power of friendship, nakama, or whatever. This message is constantly portrayed throughout the story. When Yuji was first indoctrinated to Jujutsu Tech, Yaga asked Yuji of what his motivation for becoming a Sorcerer is and when he mentions helping people Yaga is not satisfied. The reasoning behind his unsatisfaction was that Jujutsu Sorcery is an occupation where they face the possibility of death on a daily basis along with regrets and no gratitude. Which made him ask Yuji if he's ever faced with the possibility of death will he curse his grandpa for he was the one to set Yuji on that selfless path. It's only when Yuji makes his motivation sound a bit more towards himself (making it a bit selfish) that Yaga accepts.
It's basically a known fact that very good-natured people don't last long in their line of work, the best example is Suguru Geto. Despite Geto and Yuji's differences their motivations were very similar. However after some unfortunate events along being exposed to the dark side of reality that Geto starts resenting the humans he once prided himself protecting. It especially didn't help when he discovered that humanity itself is the reason why Curses exist to begin with due to them not being able to control their leaking cursed energy. Meaning if it weren't for them Geto wouldn't have forced himself to Devour Curse after Curse just to help people. It's probably because of Geto that Yaga is unwilling to accept someone who's motivation while well-intentioned, will ultimately be the reason for their downfall.
Another thing I've noticed in this series is that Self-sacrifice while praised in others is looked down upon. One example of this is Yuji in his fight with Choso, when Yuji resigned himself in a role that he doesn't have to be the one to save Gojo, he may as well forsaked himself because moments later Choso won only not killing the guy due to some mind scramble about possibly killing his own brother. The negative result of Yuji resigning himself of the course would be the temporary resurrection of Sukuna and you know the rest.
This happens yet again when Sukuna uses enchain to takeover Yuji's body and tries a gamble of ripping out his finger supposedly risking the rules of the binding vow he set. This gamble ultimately pays off in the end, why? Because Yuji subconsciously disregarded his well-being from the people Sukuna shouldn't be able to harm. Yuji once again unintentionally screwed over everyone with his act of selflessness.
JJK has shown us a right way you could grow stronger. A prime example of this during Megumi's training, Gojo told him he had an troubling habit of resorting to his powerful trump card due to him not having self-confidence in his own basic strength/abilities. Man basically told him to be more Greedy and the moment Megumi took that to heart he violated a Special Grade Curse. He quite imagined his victory and took that mentality forward for the rest of his future battles. It's good to have allies but at the end of the day Jujutsu is an Individual sport so when you die, you die alone.
My second point in all this I'd like to bring is having a Sense of Individuality. The three which Yuji's currently behind each have this.
Yuta although humble most of the time has a iron foundation of assurance. Like Yuji he's compassionate but that doesn't completely define his existence. In fact even during his last struggle with Ishigori (a Sendai Colony Boss) he had the option to quickly end the fight but chose to indulge the guy's sweetness for battle. Maki is someone who rebels against Jujutsu Society's values unlike Yuji who'd just lie down and die because that's what Jujutsu Society that he's a Cog in decided for him.
Lastly, Hakari is someone who lives with his "Fever" doing what he wants and how because of it. If someone has a problem against it then that's on them.
The thing is Yuji DID once have this Selfish mentality, waaaay before the current story of JJK. When he decides on something and how wants to it, nothing or no one can change his mind. This sort of mentality is eerily reminiscent of Sukuna. The problem with Yuji as of now is that he's obsessed with finding a meaning for his life, Sukuna on the other hand could care less about the meaning/purpose for his existence and does want he wants just because. So I feel that the only way Yuji can TRULY grow is if he can rediscover that old way of life.
I wanna see yuji hit the mahoraga walk whilst inside sukunas domain
the main reason sukuna said maki was better to freeze was because shes an unknown variable. he doesnt have six eyes, and not even that could fully see through heavenly restriction. she was an unknown variable that was likely one of the unique few he couldnt really feel walk up. he knows of restriction, but its probably random to the individual. compared to yuji, who sukuna knows better than yuji himself does, maki regardless of yujis power is the smarter choice.
I know it would be kind of too forward, but in a way I hope that Yuji’s CT is “weight” or “burden” - I know he has other things but given his personality being “weighed down” or burdened is something that obviously haunts him and I do think it is something I can see unlocking.
Didn't his mom have a gravity-based CT that Kenny yoinked? You might be cooking.
I think a fun idea for “burden” would be the ability to pull people towards himself, but his weight increases. It would allow him to pull off Gojo style off guard punches, and represent the duality of his desire to be close to others, despite how it burden’s him
This could be something, especially with Nanami and lawer-guy effectively passing down the torch

Something to be brought up for why Yuji's able to tank Sakuna's slashes so well is the fact that he's steeped in Sakuna's cursed energy. As Gojo hypothesized a few chapters ago, you might be resistant to your own techniques because its based off of your energy, ergo he might be more resistance to Sakuna's attacks on the same principle.

I feeling that Yuji was able to gain the abilities of his alies through their souls. The reason i believe this is because Yuji punched Sukuna with something that confused him. My guess is Panda's unblockable drumming beat. Then, Sukuna was hit with piercing blood from behind, the direction Yuji came from to grab Higiruma's executionor's sword. We now know he can use RCT, so he might have repaired himself and then used piercing blood. On that same note, he can use RCT now, and i assume he gained it through Shoko.

I feel, after the leaks, that it’s going to be something opposing Mahito’s ability. It would add even further depth to the “Im you” and be symbolic, like him being self-embodiment of imperfection, which may be because everything goes wrong, and he will contradict Jujutsu at its core, like domains being the confidence and the understanding of oneself.

Maybe Yuji's ability will simply be mastery of black flash? Like just the capacity to create new iterations and take black flash to the next level? Something simple, because Itadori is very simple as a character yet groundbreaking cause it is something unheard of.

I want to point out the fact that Yuji was in black flash state against Perfect Mahito twice in a row in the anime. Mahito pulled back against the first one but Yuji was able to get back in that state right after and hit him

According to Gege eating the paintings only boosts his CE reserves it doesn't grant him a technique unfortunately. Yuji's probably loaded with Cursed Tools however in addition to his obscene human strength and CE manipulation.

Yuji CAN use it at will. The narrator specifically confirms that. The narrator says you can't, as yuji does it. And hes done it multiple times. The narrator is basically calling Yuji an exception.

Personally I like the idea of since his original goal was to find the perfect way to die right what is his domain expansion brings back all of his dead comrades but they can't use their techniques they can only throw hands and they're just sure hits
I think they could have their cursed techniques, but it’s powered by Yuji’s cursed energy. Maybe call it “Rising Wake”, a pun on rising from the dead and a funeral wake? Since he’s reserecting people, and a wake is when people come to pay their respects
Yuji freely controls black flash, is simply going to break the story's power system. Gege literally f**k himself by stating u can't use black flash at will, and does not chooses who to bless. It would simply be an asspull beyond asspull, as gege wouldn't be able to give an beliveable reason as to why yuji could do that.
"The boy chosen by the sparks of black" this was a narrator statement that was cut from the anime because the author didn't want narration in the first season.

Black flash was able to do damage to Mahito cos Todo carried Yuji to the point Mahito had no more transfigured humans to use. Gojo hit Sukuna with a black flash and Sukuna was still alive reviving in the shadows. Still waiting for black flash to be useful in a 1v1 situation. Youd have to make convincing arguments that black flash could hit the soul

It's not like black flash literally gives you a stat amp and restores cursed energy output, like come on... Black flash is a lot more than "I punch harder" it gives a sorcerer an intimate understanding of their cursed energy allowing them to become stronger, it's not like that was the whole reason why Mahito evolved and became stronger.

What againt Mohoraga who Sukuna already beat at 15f? What's 3v1 got to do with anything. It's not like Gojo doesnt control space itself. Any 10s user can go up to 10v1 potentially and Sukuna had 10s. But Gojo hit Sukuna, not 10s. Even Gojo himself admitted that Sukuna was pulling his punches and I'm not talking about the afterlife scene. Heian era Sukuna appears to be even stronger and Yuji is not Gojo. Also forgetting Mahito used black flash so Sukuna could aswell. It's not limited to any side

Nah, Yuji is repeatedly stated to be highly proficient in hand to hand combat and an incredibly fast learner in terms of combat IQ. Plus, divergent fist, which he can control. Resistance to Sukuna's cursed energy, and therefore technique, due to being "soaked" in it like a sponge. Natural strength and agility which he can increase now due to cursed energy usage. And all of this is leaving out the theoretical stuff like the death paintings abilities, whatever Kenny may have done to the guy, etc. Give my guy some credit
@@BGrier12 from a technical standpoint not really doing much. Like ive heard all of those points but from where I’m watching he just looks like he punch’s mfs and that’s it. But it is a nice turn from the usual over powered protagonist we get in all other anime.

It wasn't Choso was the one who fired that Piercing Blood, even Sukuna says that.
