It's about oneness and wholeness, which makes sense considering the strong Buddhist themes in the series. I read an article about a guy who was brain-dead in 95% of his brain, but who walked and talked like a regular person, because his spinal cord had taken up all the activities normally reserved for his brain. And a friend of mine with Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka split personalities) mentioned that the reason the disorder shows up tends to be because of a lot of dissociation during the identity formation stage of childhood, leading to the brain being unable to form an identity normally and instead splintering. When I brought up the aforementioned spinal cord brain guy, she said that it often felt like a lot of her identities were different parts of her brain forming identities of their own. I think the same applies to domains, since a domain is "spreading out" your innate technique beyond your physical self requires putting your "entire self" out there.
I bring this up every time Black Flash is the topic of discussion, because I think it's really cool. Basically, there's a book I read, pretty short, titled Zen in the Art of Archery. The topic is kyudo, the traditional Japanese form of archery, and how the author's kyudo instructor used it to teach the principles of Zen. Evidently this is common to lots of Japanese traditions, from martial arts to stuff like calligraphy and flower arrangement, i.e., using them as a "way in" to talk about Zen. And I think GeGe used that as inspiration for Black Flash. The majority of the book deals with the task of firing an arrow, which is extremely difficult in kyudo because once you draw the bow, you don't decide on your own when to let go. You have to maintain that position until the arrow naturally leaves your grip. It's compared to the way snow will collect on a leaf, then when enough of it gathers, it spontaneously, organically falls off without movement from the leaf. When the archer manages to do this, to patiently hold the drawn arrow until it lets itself fly, the author and his teacher describe this sort of "rush," this feeling of being simultaneously omnipotent and immersed in nature. Like they're a conduit for some force of nature that acts through them as instantaneously as a bolt of lightning. So that's basically Black Flash, right? By focusing intently, like insane levels of focus, and tightening up the timing on their cursed energy control as much as possible, a sorcerer can create the conditions for a Black Flash. However, they can only create the conditions for it. Nevertheless, if they land one, they instantly gain insight into the nature of their own cursed energy and cursed energy as a whole. We see Nanami describe it as this feeling of being "in the Zone," like the world's revolving around you, but I bet another way you could put it is that it's like the barrier between the individual sorcerer and cursed energy as a force of nature breaks down, and it's like cursed energy is acting through them instead of them using cursed energy. Black Flash isn't just a huge boost to damage output, and it isn't just a tune up to cursed energy efficiency, either. It's like a gateway into enlightenment, like becoming one with the universe of cursed energy. I think that's rad as hell.
As an archery practitioner, it's exactly right there are days where I focus on my technical skills and do well but not perfect and then there are moments where I can thread my arrow through the shaft of a carbon fiber arrow it's truly empty mind natural flow that does it
If Black Flashes are like "critical hits", then Yuji definitely have the highest rate since his CT is Left Right Goodnight. Add the fact that it sends you into a Zone state, you are basically adding a multiplier for the Critical Chances. Yuji's efficiency in handling his CE, and his determination to go all in against his enemies, then you'll have a great formula to get the Sparks of Black in your favor.
Makes sense actually, that’s probably why Yuji didn’t land a black flash on Choso since his mentality had shifted from what it became when he fought Mahito.
I think with Choso he just couldn't time the blow right because of the blood shield from Choso. The same way when Mahito removes his armor Yuji mistimes his punch and dosen't land a blackflash
Black flash for me is like flow state and peak performance in Blue Lock. Not a coincidence that I found this video after learning about ego types and flow states from a blue lock video lolll
Because megumi is such an overthinker I just think it’s impossible for him to be in the zone like that, the only time we even see him nearly that focused is when he fought the finger barer
I wonder if there are any hidden aspects of Black Flash, specifically if landing so many in a short span of time causes the Black Flash power-ups / 120% potential awakening to stack, even partially. I know the sample size isn't big enough for the people in the setting to make concrete conclusions, seeing that they only have Nanami on record landing a handful of them in immediate succession, and Gojo was never going to need more than a couple Black Flashes to annihilate anyone below Sukuna or Mahoraga's level, But I get the sneaking suspicion that if someone was landing dozens of Black Flashes in a single fight, they'd be gaining FAR more momentum than someone who landed just one.
It probably does, just with diminishing return. Since, cause you're technically still in the same state, it's probably just adding the base amount on top, without having reset the baseline yet. So doing 2 or 3 in a row would make it seem like a huge gain, after 4 or 5 it would become less and less for what your new total would be. And to add on that, though we have seen it a good amount, just getting a single black flash is actually really rare most of the time, let alone consecutive ones. The main reason it seems less so currently, is cause we are near constantly seeing some of the best in the verse getting pushed to their limit, over and over again. So they end up pulling them off with a good bit more frequency than what would be normal.
The way I see it, considering that using Black Flash allows you to understand Cursed Energy, the more you use it, the more you understand Black Flash itself and the easier it becomes to use it in a limited amount of time.
Something I’ve wondered, and haven’t seen talked about, in regard to, the Black Flash: could someone like Hakari land a black flash? And given his domain that gives him unlimited cursed energy for 4 mins, 11 seconds, would he be able to land as many Black Flashes as Yuji has, if he was able to better control cursed energy? Since we know he can’t control reverse cursed energy, it just kinda happens when he needs to be healed. And maybe he is good with cursed energy manipulation and I’ve just forgotten. But if he isn’t, then that’d make for an interesting what if video maybe? Good for thought. Love your videos!
I don’t think Hakari is that good with curse energy manipulation since his domain makes everything automatic. Yuta who had to rely on manual curse energy manipulation couldn’t even explain fully how his rct usage work.
@@lynnusuk2092 right, right, gotcha. I wasn’t 120% sure myself. Well, this could make for a fun what if style video. Cause imagine if he could control all that cursed energy haha
@@Hayden_Lummus I don't think he ever could actually. His entire worldview and even fighting style is all about luck, not about control and precision. Sure he will likely always get lucky and live to keep gambling (since dying in a gamble is boring, but almost dying is not) but because everything in his life is a gamble he never has a higher goal to aspire to. Special grade mindset but never a special grade goal. It's also why Sukana only achieved a black flash against Gojo in the current era, kinda hard to get into that flow state when your entire thing is the chance of gambling.

Its said in the manga that it's harder for gojo to hit a black flash because his six eyes gives him neer perfect cursed energy control unlike other sorcerers
it looks like to land a black flash not only do you have to be hella focused and serious, you also have to be so confident in the blow youre about to deal to the opponent that there isnt a single millisecond of doubt or hesitation, then and only then will you activate your cursed energy at the very exact moment that it needs to be activated and your cursed attack will shine black

Gojos black flash is crazier, blue infused punch already is enough to make special grade yuta vomit, multiply that to the power of 2.5. Lets say that gojo's regular punch does 1000 damage, blue infused punch does 3500 damage, then the black flash, blue infused one would be 724,719,773 damage!

Its always been apparent that desperation and determination cause black flashes. It is never explicitly said but every time it happens the user is on the back ropes and needs a boost. The reason Yuji lands 8 in a row recently is because the gap between him and Sukuna is just so big
yuji actually hit 8 in a row lately + one almost bursting sukunas heart + one he hit with nobara also yujis total was above 5 already before that as he landed 4 against hanami and 2 against mahito so 6 at least so that'd be 8 +6 +1 +1 so 16 total
I feel like you need to land a black flash to become special grade if you never get one I don’t think you can pass the hurdle of grade 1 well other then a heavenly restriction
i might be insane and remembering wrong but i think they explained you hit a black flash by hitting someone with a melee attack and a cursed energy attack right after the melee attack at a specific timing
its like hitting a homerun in baseball but you only have .000000000001 seconds to react to the pitch. and the pitch can be many types: fastball, curveball, splitter, slider, etc. you can get really lucky if you guess, but you still have to be really good. but guys like gojo can see so well that they are fouling off every pitch, its just a matter of time until he makes solid contact and sends the ball 5000 feet
this is great analysis and I appreciate your video. I have to ask though, what the hell is that game that keeps playing with the Minecraft looking block fighters? Lol
Yuji is basically an item locked max level phantom assassin with his consecutive critical hits. Sidenote: I wanna see a fanmade Yuji vs the grudge cursed spirits and Sadako 😂
I also like how people are punished for not being selfish in the seires Such as the result of yuji becoming selfless against choso taking on 'a supportive role' and Megumi summmoning maharaga both of these selfless acts resulted in the biggest result of deaths in the Shibuya incident This indicates as a type punishment for not being selfish and striving in your own potential
I think that while black flash puts a sorcerer into the "Zone" state, that it takes kinda reaching that point on one's own before the flash to really use one at first. If not then we'd see characters landing them totally randomly as their first hit in a fight and then get that massive advantage. Almost to the point that while the series says it is a result of the black flash, that it feels more like the flash and the zone state are tandem abd happen simultaneously. Also added to this is the intuition some charactees get that someone is about to land one.
Yuji hit 3 Black Flashes vs Maitho in Shibuya. (1st was as soon as Todo "revived" him. 2nd was when Todo used Maithos hand to swap with Yuji. And the 3rd was used to finish the fight)
Itadori really just said “Put this Black Flash on my life” a lot, i would say “Put this Black Flash on my friends and family” but if he did there’d still be a majority of the cast alive, but I guess the family part kind of counts because Sukuna sure ain’t getting put down.
I think that yuji could be using a binding vow of some sort to execute so many black flashes when he was fighting sukuna in chapter 256 and 257. This binding vow could give yuji the "flow" needed to execute black flashes but with a drawback. I don't know what could this drawback be.
so more likely then not if you put full trust into black flash you will be able to land it, which is the reason why after yuji patted gojo on the back that helped him change his mindset he was able to hit black flash later on as we saw gojo looked tired and worried about the fight which he still wasnt immediately able to hit black flash comming freshly out of the gamblers mindset but there is one problem. hakari who always have cursed energy a very high output, gamblers mindest, only punches and kicks, has never hit a black flash, hakari should be the most proficient if thats the case. except for when he is in jackpot, thats when his cursed energy is too strong to be controlled for the "1 2 3" explanation gojo made
2 minutes in, I’m assuming it’s just when someone is 100 percent locked in and about to hit the zone, and the black flash is what triggers the proper lock in. And Nanami holds the record due to likely hitting them at his clock out time, 6, because he wanted to finish up immediately

As an archery practitioner, it's exactly right there are days where I focus on my technical skills and do well but not perfect and then there are moments where I can thread my arrow through the shaft of a carbon fiber arrow it's truly empty mind natural flow that does it
When u mix consistency and instinct, you get the flow state
If Black Flashes are like "critical hits", then Yuji definitely have the highest rate since his CT is Left Right Goodnight.
Add the fact that it sends you into a Zone state, you are basically adding a multiplier for the Critical Chances.
Yuji's efficiency in handling his CE, and his determination to go all in against his enemies, then you'll have a great formula to get the Sparks of Black in your favor.
The king is back
THE ETERNAL FLAME 👑
Man yall are both cool af I makemusic love your videos boys
Nice to see the Black Flash more relevant in the story again fr Yuji and Sukuna both about to pop off
The thought of you needing to land a black flash fills you with *determination*
The jujutsu craft editing is incredible 🙏🙏🙏
Bro when ever this man jaded drops a video it just hits different for sum reason
To sum it up. In order to hit a black flash you gotta have that dog in ya
Makes sense actually, that’s probably why Yuji didn’t land a black flash on Choso since his mentality had shifted from what it became when he fought Mahito.
That was the one time he was playing a team game
I know the sample size isn't big enough for the people in the setting to make concrete conclusions, seeing that they only have Nanami on record landing a handful of them in immediate succession, and Gojo was never going to need more than a couple Black Flashes to annihilate anyone below Sukuna or Mahoraga's level,
But I get the sneaking suspicion that if someone was landing dozens of Black Flashes in a single fight, they'd be gaining FAR more momentum than someone who landed just one.
Given the last two chapters, this comment has aged quite well
Finnally the banger dropped i was waiting for it since your post
Sorry it took extra long 😭💀
Ngl black flash feels like plot armour
The way I see it, considering that using Black Flash allows you to understand Cursed Energy, the more you use it, the more you understand Black Flash itself and the easier it becomes to use it in a limited amount of time.
Now THIS is the content I’ve been needing 🔥
Bro called Megumi a bum in different flavours for 10 minutes😂 I’m here for it
Something I’ve wondered, and haven’t seen talked about, in regard to, the Black Flash: could someone like Hakari land a black flash?
@@Hayden_Lummushahaha 120% hahaha
@@Hayden_Lummus I don't think he ever could actually. His entire worldview and even fighting style is all about luck, not about control and precision. Sure he will likely always get lucky and live to keep gambling (since dying in a gamble is boring, but almost dying is not) but because everything in his life is a gamble he never has a higher goal to aspire to. Special grade mindset but never a special grade goal.
It's also why Sukana only achieved a black flash against Gojo in the current era, kinda hard to get into that flow state when your entire thing is the chance of gambling.
Jaded has already hit the black flashes, the biggest one with his video about: "JJK teaches you the opposite".
Great job as usual, hope you will reach 100K
FERVOR BRO... This mistranslation man, I can't 😭
Proof that making jujutsu not publicly available knowledge actually hurts sorcerers
Its said in the manga that it's harder for gojo to hit a black flash because his six eyes gives him neer perfect cursed energy control unlike other sorcerers
Basically what Gojo said to Megumin was: "You can hit a black flash, you just don't think you could do it, that is holding you back"
The goat man everything bout these videos hit like crack
Thanks bro 🥹
it looks like to land a black flash not only do you have to be hella focused and serious, you also have to be so confident in the blow youre about to deal to the opponent that there isnt a single millisecond of doubt or hesitation, then and only then will you activate your cursed energy at the very exact moment that it needs to be activated and your cursed attack will shine black
It's one of those things where, once you've done it, you just can, and up until then, it's just a thing you chase

[LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK]
What did you guys think of each of these things?
- Extra gameplay in the background?
- Effects that float around the manga
- Tinting and slightly coloring each page
- Topic
Jujutsu Craft gameplay is at least better than cursed clash gameplay
@@JOSHINBETWEENER my exact thought process
dope video all around bro really good stuff
Do Arcane Odyssey pvp gameplay in the background 💀
@@JadedSatoruon a real note, i miss the old theme you used in your most popular videos.
Gojo acheived Enlightenment by having a near death experience. Yuji achieved his own Enlightenment by spamming Black Flashes. I loved the contrast between them as each individual has their unique path to Enlightenment.
Sometimes in life there are perfect moments, and you don't get to decide when they happen, but they happen more often if you've got the mindset to seize the circumstances.
"unleashing his potential with a single blow, be beneath scattering sparks of black. Itadori yuji, awakens." Are true bars
As of NOW, ya boy Yuji is THE Black Flash user at this point. My man hits that shit.
I love his editing and voice changer it’s so good 😮
Voice Changer???? It’s all natural but your pretty so I’ll let it slide
tbh have you guys thought that yuji never hit a black flash alone? he only hits them when we with his BROTHA'S aka todo or choso
chapter 257 tho he just got that 1v1 that we all wanted to see
@@agssilv5919 he was with choso the brothas dont have to fight when he hit his first bf i think that was alone todo just watch and its weird the moment choso gets involved heavly yuji hits a bpack flash
@@yukimarilchoso was in the background before Yuji and sukuna started trading black flashes.
For some reason I felt this concepts will help me in life as well 😅 thanks bro. Great video
I think what I love most about Black Flash is that it looks like someone is getting hit with Conqueror's Haki
It actually depends on your plot armor and if gege hates you
My headcanon is that getting hit by a black flash sounds to the receiver like that one meme lobotomy sound effect
Black flash in track terms is basically entering a mad minute. Everything slows down, you feel like you are gliding, and the whole world goes silent.
Yuji was born with that conqueror haki mindset
Black flash is clearly biased
@@pbsuite always has been 🔫
From what I’ve understood it’s sorta like a sneeze. You just feel it coming in that moment
With all the information we already have I honestly don’t think there’s anything “Devine” or “magical” about the black flash. I’m pretty sure it’s just a real world phenomenon and has nothing to do with luck, they just haven’t been able to grasp the final piece to make it happen at will.
imagine how OP Nanami's black flash was.
It's a critical hit of a critical hit.
Yeah Gojo and Nanami are straight up multipliers on multipliers. Gotta be disgusting to be hit by one of those 😭
3:09 Yuji landed 3 Black flashes vs Mahito
1st when he "came back from the dead" after todo's speech
2nd after Todo clapped with mahito's hand.
3rd after he hit ISDK Mahito after Todo's bluff.
Gege saying megumi doesn’t fit the black flash is the funniest thing I’ve heard
He isn’t like that
If black flashes are random then how many can Hakari do?
The sparks of black, happen when one is truly expressing ones soul in the most true form
imagine sparring with a newbie and they just black flash you 4 times “randomly”
Its always been apparent that desperation and determination cause black flashes. It is never explicitly said but every time it happens the user is on the back ropes and needs a boost. The reason Yuji lands 8 in a row recently is because the gap between him and Sukuna is just so big
The effects of a black flash are like hitting a bunch of drugs in fallout. Yuji is probably not breaking a sweat rn
Editting is wild
The light of hope shines black 🖤
Wait what about Yuta he isn’t mentioned😭
I love the jujutsucraft gameplay, its a small detail but it's realy cool
THANK YOU, I took a gamble but I’m happy it paid off
I was wondering about what mod that was, thx!
yuji actually hit 8 in a row lately + one almost bursting sukunas heart + one he hit with nobara
also yujis total was above 5 already before that
as he landed 4 against hanami and 2 against mahito
so 6 at least
so that'd be 8 +6 +1 +1 so 16 total
So in summary getting a black flash relies on you believing victory is the only option
Megumi always tries to play smarter, not harder, which is why he never takes into consideration his own abilities
I feel like you need to land a black flash to become special grade if you never get one I don’t think you can pass the hurdle of grade 1 well other then a heavenly restriction
Fire editing fam
i might be insane and remembering wrong but i think they explained you hit a black flash by hitting someone with a melee attack and a cursed energy attack right after the melee attack at a specific timing
Here after yuji landed 8 consecutive black flashes againts sukuna.
Nahh this video bouta blow up
continue using jujutsu craft as your b-roll, shits fye.
black flashes are just the golden wrench incident in tf2
its like hitting a homerun in baseball but you only have .000000000001 seconds to react to the pitch. and the pitch can be many types: fastball, curveball, splitter, slider, etc. you can get really lucky if you guess, but you still have to be really good. but guys like gojo can see so well that they are fouling off every pitch, its just a matter of time until he makes solid contact and sends the ball 5000 feet
The strongest JJK sorcerer would be a pot head just saying. Domain expansion infinite snoop
In short
In the world of the black flash, it's either you die or he dies, no in-between.
A perfect blend of hatred, spite and a drive to survive
this is great analysis and I appreciate your video.
So frisk should be able to black flash at will she’s literally determination the person
I also like how people are punished for not being selfish in the seires
Such as the result of yuji becoming selfless against choso taking on 'a supportive role' and Megumi summmoning maharaga both of these selfless acts resulted in the biggest result of deaths in the Shibuya incident
This indicates as a type punishment for not being selfish and striving in your own potential
Imagine your cursed technique is always to hit a black flash
one week later bro was proven right 😭😭
Yuji hit 3 Black Flashes vs Maitho in Shibuya. (1st was as soon as Todo "revived" him. 2nd was when Todo used Maithos hand to swap with Yuji. And the 3rd was used to finish the fight)
It’s a phenomenon so hype it warps reality around it
Not about luck or mentality, it all depends on the screenwriter
bro hit like 9 against sukuna
Itadori really just said “Put this Black Flash on my life” a lot, i would say “Put this Black Flash on my friends and family” but if he did there’d still be a majority of the cast alive, but I guess the family part kind of counts because Sukuna sure ain’t getting put down.
I think that yuji could be using a binding vow of some sort to execute so many black flashes when he was fighting sukuna in chapter 256 and 257. This binding vow could give yuji the "flow" needed to execute black flashes but with a drawback. I don't know what could this drawback be.
so more likely then not if you put full trust into black flash you will be able to land it, which is the reason why after yuji patted gojo on the back that helped him change his mindset he was able to hit black flash later on as we saw gojo looked tired and worried about the fight which he still wasnt immediately able to hit black flash comming freshly out of the gamblers mindset but there is one problem. hakari who always have cursed energy a very high output, gamblers mindest, only punches and kicks, has never hit a black flash, hakari should be the most proficient if thats the case. except for when he is in jackpot, thats when his cursed energy is too strong to be controlled for the "1 2 3" explanation gojo made
"you need the skill to capitalize on your luck"
2 minutes in, I’m assuming it’s just when someone is 100 percent locked in and about to hit the zone, and the black flash is what triggers the proper lock in.
And Nanami holds the record due to likely hitting them at his clock out time, 6, because he wanted to finish up immediately
