About to get my HPG setup very soon!! Can't wait! Awsome review man. Keep it up. Your really good at it
Really great HPG review, there aren’t too many that explains the nuances you did.
HPG makes great stuff. Not the lightest as you said but they are durable and very comfortable to carry. My favorite packs. Great review!
Looks great! Funnily enough I just picked up a Tasmanian Tiger UrbanTac pack for day hikes. Glad to see ya'll still going strong!
AWESOME VIDEO!
if you get a motorcycle grade dry bag and top mount it for your shelter/warming layers you can stretch the caps of this bag immensely
A Sea to Summit Big River 15 liter dry bag fits perfectly on top of the Umlindi, and like you said, it gives you a lot more capacity
That frame sheet is an interesting feature!
If you’re carrying with a plate carrier with plates in, I’d recommend taking the frame sheet out or at least the stays. Otherwise it is going sit awkwardly against the back plate.
I used mine on a 3 day hike and it worked out great!
No belt or expansion pockets
I have V2. I share your opinion that it is a great backpack. Couple of weeks ago i went for a six day hike on island Cres. All the gear, four days of food and 5l of water fitted inside. Day things and snacks were in tara pocket. Tent was on top in 8l STS big river dry bag. Weight was 32 pounds and it carried great with recon belt. Can you do a video how the buttpack integrates on top? I can not find any or a photo. Greetings from Slovenia. TY
