I have a HPG medium Kit Bag that I use often when canoeing. Makes it easy to get at items I need. And it ensures that I have some basic gear on me if I go into the water unexpectedly. HPG is top notch.
Im sorry to say but that design is terrible for SAR. The molly position on the front alone is not applicable to most needs. No side molly for radio holster either. Ok setup but definitely not professional level or worth $165. Thanks for the video.
The front MOLLE is intended for your radio, which should be pointed at an angle away from your head. This is true on most of the other common bags that SAR teams use (Coaxsher, True North, PMI, etc.). Your antenna shouldn't be pointed straight up at your head. Would love to know if you've found a better option. From what I've seen, every bag has one or more compromises - seems like all we can do is minimize those compromises as best we can.
good job 👍
Thanks man!

Hi Dr. Morey
Why are the loops called Molly loops?
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment)👍
It's basically a standardized system for attaching kit.

Thanks for the input. SAR isn't the application we use this rig for, but is a subject some of us are wanting to get involved with.
