Seems like every westerner in Russia has a UA-cam channel. Between their channels and the various comments their videos get, it makes one think there are so many flooding to Russia. There is that weird Canadian farm family whose women dress like Amish who went their to avoid gay flags in Canada, that creepy Sam with bad teeth in Vladimir, Ronald Gauthier (Far Right American Proud Boy), that Australian farm family and even that former American Marine with the sad sack look on his face in his thumbnails who is now back in the US and Mexico who claims to be nonpolitical while being overtly pro Kremlin among other. I have to admit, I find Traveling with Russell nice enough although how many videos about grocery stores can one make. LOL!
It’s definitely a certain type that move there. People who are afraid of gays, people who think Russia is Christian, and people who go there for sex.
My friend in Odessa is afraid to go to work because the army picking up people for the draft even at their workplace.

Yea Russell was one of the first, if not the first, publicly self identified American (maybe westerner) to be fighting with the separatists when this all started years ago.

Truth is you can't reason with someone who is drunk. He did a lot that I don't support but he did his best to support his cause and beliefs in that war and it's a bit ironic that the people he fought for and supported are the ones who killed him.

@@ConorClyneTsarExperience It seems that the only Ukr vlogs available are from the winter of 21-22. This visit w the soldier was definitely in spring or summer of 21. But it's the 1st vlog I thought of after see this announcement.

Conor, from a moral standpoint how is it alright to kindap Ukrainian men off the streets to fill the ranks of the Ukrainian army. I thought Ukraine was a democratic and free country, not like Russia...
Every single country would do that in that circumstance. US did that during Vietnam (even if it's thousands kilometers away from US) and ussr did that at peace time. So yeah this is realy normal and even mild policy during invasion.
These are people who were summoned but failed to get to the conscription office. Arresting people who did not follow on an officially issued warrant is a standard procedure in all countries.

Need to take back the high tone of my comment. Guess I was still under the impression of a couple of previous podcasts I watched and which bothered to repeatedly enhance the impression that they "feel very sorry for him personally." A common sentiment I also from podcasters speaking about the Gonzalo departure of this world.
