That is crazy to think about. Imagine going out with your partner to watch a beautiful sunset, completely oblivious to the fact that just 20 ft behind you is someone who wants you dead just for being there when he was. Jesus.
ikr Loaded and well connected parents 1000$ pocket money per month with BMW sounds like he didn't try to go to a whore and yet the logic isn't really that hard to follow when he puts the entire world into perspective most know the painful facts of society
You can't compare problems of one with those of another. You talk about money, but money doesn't buy love and love is what makes the world go round. Plus, to have famous parents while being socially awkward yourself will only make you less and less confident about yourself. Yet atst it gave him a sense of superiority which isn't a good emotion either because it's the other side of inferiority. His emotions therefore went all over the place. And you mention his parents but who says his parents gave him attention or love? It doesn't look like anyone ever told him that if girls don't talk to you, it might mean they are in love with you. The $1000 a month can also be felt like buying your love. Sometimes all people need is a little bit of attention and love. People in the west for example claim that Africa is a poor country but I think the west is poor. When I see videos of Africa I see people dancing and having friends and surrounded by nature often and when I see videos of the west it's often betrayal, racism, people claiming "go away, this is my country" or superficial "beauty" videos. People who think it's an advantage to get $1000 a month are probably rich theirselves, just a little bit less.
That's a very selfish comment. The one thing (most important) missing was parental guidance and some love, he got neither. He needed help but his parents weren't there for him. Brought up in a material world thinking you are gonna win the lottery or you're rich and deserve it, is not how the world works. I wonder do his parents share your view? We will never know..

That one clip where he drives right by 3 girls looking right into the car. He drives right by like a scared little boy. With that car and money I would've easily stopped and talked to all 3. I've gotten girls with much less
He refused to talk to women. If you read his story about his final "huge" attempt to get laid, he basically stares and stands next to girls at a party. That's it. He literally expected girls to just take him by the hand and have sex with him. He eludes to this several times.
It’s not like he’s ugly, he just acts so creepy, cringy and narcissistic he scares people away. Imagine dinner conversation with him, “look, check out my $300 Georgio Armani glasses. I’m so sexy with them on! How can you possibly resist me?”😅
His issues was he was playing the money game without enough money. If evil ugly thugs like El Choppo can get a hot girl than this guy could to he just needed more money. I am poor and ugly that is why i will never get a girlfriend. But unlike him I know it is all my fault for not being good enough because I know girls hate poor ugly guys.

He wanted people to accept him for who he is, while having a very toxic personality.
Questionable. He was jealous because he didn't have what others had. Ifnhe had the same, it's possible that he wouldn't have been jealous. We will simply never know
Not taking away from his dispictable actions....But this is Mental Illness that was neglected by him & his family. Doesnt matter who you are ( just like Cancer) this doesnt discriminate..And I agree with you but sometimes you have to think outside the box.
His mental illness is that he was a psychopathic-narcissist... true psychopathy is a trip, the lack of empathy can't really be fixed, it's a hard wired neurological problem. Some psychopaths learn to navigate and fake empathy, mimick emotions and all that, but they are always psychopaths. Interestingly, a high number of CEOs and higher ups in corporations are legit psychopaths, it takes someone with no empathy or that can deny their empathy and humanity to reach those positions. I imagine his parents didn't really help the situation much, they just threw money at him. Maybe they did, but who his father was makes it unlikely.
it's just amazing how self-aware he was in his writings and yet his only solution was to committ the mass murders. he wasn't a bad looking kid either. he kept complaining about not getting any hot girls. he's too much into himself and his ego to actually have a relationship with anyone.
He didnät have a good example growing up. By the age of 9, he knew that if you had enough money you could by any gil you want, based on what his father did. I dont think it is his ego, it is more a broken few on reality of the relationship between man and a woman. His father tought or explained him nothing.
@@ayahgrig9218 I think the same things as you. A lot of these people who grow up to be killers had a childhood void of emotional support from their parents. It's funny how you can grow up rich and still be a mess of a person with bad character. There is no monetary replacement for a good set of parents to follow and provide structure for your life and emotional support -- telling your kids that having these feelings is ok but at some point you have to find out why you have these feelings and deal with them in a positive way. It's ok to feel jealous. It's ok to have "bad" thoughts but it is definitely not ok to act on them.

I went to the same high schools with him. He used to hangout by where my group used to. I have a few corrections: 1. Elliot had Asperger’s. Our principal made it a point to tell my group of friends so we could try to include him. 2. He changed schools(1st time around) bc in like the first few days he froze in the cafeteria for almost the WHOLE day before anyone really noticed. The craziest thing is how someone who was so obviously disturbed as Elliott Roger could legally buy 4 handguns and use them to wreak havoc on so many people's lives. I will never understand why Americans are so adamant about their constitutional right to own guns. PEOPLE WITH GUNS KILL PEOPLE.
As an avid true crime watcher, this video was incredibly narrated and done. I’ve seen several about Elliot because his case is one I can’t wrap my mind around but this one still held my attention start to finish
Once sitting on a terrace in a busy street, a man approached me to talk to me, my instinct was sending me signals "he's dangerous, be careful" but I preferred to take the risk of listening to him. I said "I listen and you can talk to me" he spoke to me for maybe 30 minutes, I didn't necessarily want to listen to him but my intuition told me that I was making the right choice. Then before leaving he said to me "Thank you for your ears because I've had a traumatic month and I was going to do something seriously horrible today that I was about to regret later."
As some one with many mental health issues including personality disorder I want to say thank u . Yes I won't lie we can be dangerous but that's usually the last last straw ... not saying we should all go say hey ect but if u didn't try many things many loves or the person life very well could been well gone forever.
@Jess.. I completely agree with you, thank you for your answer because I also suffer from personality disorder, I was beaten by my father and my mother, two drugs that raised a nice child like me and who m They made me live a nightmare until I was 18. I was sometimes beaten with slaps in the face, and even on the breasts, especially if they were in a powerful surge under the influence of drugs and alcohol. My mother was a violent, tyrannical, unpleasant, vulgar alcoholic, and my father was submissive to her. But he was also very unstable, very easily influenced and very mentally fragile. The most impressive thing for me is that they asked me for forgiveness on their knees 15 years later. I think it was the thing that touched me the most in my life, it made me cry and cry, it relieved me of a huge weight, of the hatred and rage that I felt. Now I continue to love them But I don't hang out with them, I avoid them because I still have a wound in my soul that hasn't healed.
@Jess I wish you a recovery, I also take xanax to go outside cause I have agoraphobia, panicky attack as well. But sometimes I take my xanax and I feel better, but that thing makes me sleep a lot like a bear.
I have a friend that has a son just like this - Im worried for her and her family and I feel I can’t send it to her because it will hurt her - her son has never hurt anyone but he has a hatred for lots of people-worried for her-😢
The reason he got the crap beat out of him at that party is because he showed up and immediately started cussing out all the women there and went upstairs and was trying to grab them and throw them over the balcony. So in turn he got jumped. He lied to everyone about what happened to seem like a victim. This is one of the biggest cases of delusion I’ve ever seen in my life. I also think he was extremely autistic. The entire situation is so unfortunate.
Coming from a man diagnosed with autism, he’s most likely a person with both Narcissistic personality disorder and either a sociopath or psychopath on top of it, socio/psychopaths have the possessive, seemingly shy and loner type personalities that people with autism exhibit growing up. Same with empathy, but not to his extent.
I don’t think he ever even tried to make friends or approach women. He genuinely just expected some beautiful woman to come up to him and ask to be his girlfriend.
Look, I was an angsty teenager too. I grew up being totally rejected by society and treated like garbage. Many of my writings from that time are extremely similar to this kid's. I was angry at the entire world around and at times everyone in it. And you know what? I never hurt anyone. I truly believe that everyone on this earth has commonality in their struggles. But to me, the people who let adversity, in whatever form, become an excuse to indulge violence are trash. Being mad at the world never gives you the right to take it out on innocent beautiful lives. We've all struggled and we all have to find ways to mitigate that struggle, but there's a BIG turning point for those who choose violence as their answer, and they are always wrong. To me, that's what separates man from animal.
I agree. I have been a quiet person my whole life. I’m 21 now but I went though physical, mental, and emotional abuse growing up. I wrote, painted, and played video games to get through it. I wrote positive messages to myself even while the worst shit was happening in my life. I felt in my soul that life would get better for me. No one and I mean NO ONE pushed him to murder but himself. Honestly, I look at this guy and find him quite pathetic. Complaining about his life because he can’t get a fucking girlfriend? Murdering people because they won’t accept you? I cried because my mom said she would give me a rope to hang myself…I was angry of course but all I’ve done is stop talking to her. I still live with her and I don’t speak to her or even look her way. That’s the biggest pain I will ever inflict on her, even after everything she put me though… This guy just sucks and he’s pathetic….
its not the same for everyone, i dont believe people are born this way, they bome like this mostly from moron parents who dont do their job with normal parents there is no amount of fucked up environment that can break someone like that... same applies to school shooters, i bet if people take a closer look at the parents they will find plenty of disturbing stuff
I knew someone online in highschool eerily similar to this 7/8 years ago. Also recorded himself saying the same pathetic things with no shame. He’s in jail for battery on a woman as of recent. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of psychopaths out there.
So scary how self loathing he was yet overwhelmingly narcassistic at the same time. Some of his writings remind me of what Bryan Koeburger ( the ID 4 killer) had documented online. Loneliness, being single, lack of friends....just seems to drive them to scary outcomes. He needed serious therapy and everyone ignored every sign....very sad.
Most ppl with NPD suffer with self loathing, although they usually never divulge that info to anyone.. this gives really good insight into how a narcissist truly thinks.. the jealousy and envy further fuels the self loathing and hate especially if the person’s wants and needs are never met…
As you point out, he needed serious therapy. Yet the mental health authorities described him as "extremely polite & no threat to himself or others." Anyone know what these people get paid for?

I was thinking the same thing. He thought he was this shave, sophisticated gentleman. He made no attempt to cultivate positivity, confidence and caring and work on himself. If he had just stopped and listened to those tapes of his maybe he could have figured out girls didn’t want to be with him because he was a nasty, entitled horrible little narcissist.

Easy to label everyone and everything with "mentally ill" and "incel" to not dig into the depression and into the sadness of the society, and into the eternal fight that men have to afford every single day to the cruel natural selection that girls do... Let's say I can't tolerate the actions He did, but for sure I can understand him 100%
The most important thing American's need to understand is that mass shootings like this are ALWAYS linked to the perpetrators childhood. I couldn't find much about his life when he was young but I know his parents divorced when he was 7. This didn't come out of nowhere. Elliot probably experienced years of tension, stress and fighting when he was going through his most vulnerable developmental stages. He most likely didn't get the mirroring and echoing that he needed from his mother to bond with her, this is where the intense hatred of women comes from. His mom may have been very critical of him at a young age, which he internalized and this became like an inner message playing on repeat. He couldn't get away from "you aren't good enough." His mother also probably had that message given to her when she was young. That's how generational trauma works. If we want to stop these kinds of things from happening we have to change our culture to teach everyone how to heal their inner wounds from childhood. Only emotionally healthy adults have any shot at raising emotionally healthy children. And emotionally healthy children grow into emotionally healthy adults. And emotionally healthy adults don't go on killing sprees! It's time that we start with each one of us. We all must do the work to heal our wounded inner child, so that we don't pass our pain and shame onto the next generation. Nothing else will do.
He mentioned his childhood was rejected by a girl, he described in his biography he was bullied by that girl and she hurt his self esteem permanently. I just can't believe his childhood was rough, he was totally crazy !
He repeatedly calls others obnoxious, yet cant see it in himself. Its possibly why it was so difficult getting others to like him. For those out there who believe life is totally against them,PLEASE try and speak to someone, ANYONE. If that doesn't work and your reasoning is killing others, PLEASE start with yourself. Im so sorry to put it so bluntly. I Personally am there for Anyone whose going through inner turmoil and hell,if someone isnt willing or isn't able to interact, gaining infamy by hurting others is definitely not the way and I hope narcissistic people can somehow see that.
The one error is: narcissists only see themselves for themselves. They wouldn’t look so far into themselves to see that they are affecting others In a negative way. They will always turn the gun on themselves only after “making the world pay!!”👍🏾

Wow… he really thought the world revolved around him and that people did things intentionally towards him even though people didn’t even know he was even around
That exactly was his problem: He knew they didn't know he was even around. Every young man wants to make a place for himself in the world, he wants to be respected and he wants to have friends and a woman to spend his life with. When that doesn't work out, he starts looking for reasons. What he doesn't look for, out of the societal conditioning that men don't show weakness, is help and support. And don't forget that adolescents can be very cruel to anybody who doesn't conform to their social norms. That mixture, combined with his selective mutism and his inability and lack of opportunity to communicate, let him to seek guilt and the reason for his situation in others and ultimately resulted in the tragedy that unfolded. The world can be very cruel to young men indeed, and sometimes it turns them into monsters. What can we do about it? Firstly, we need more help for young men, BY MEN. No young man, especially in a similar situation, is going to trust a woman, and he probably has a lot of valid reasons to not do so (female cruelty). Secondly, Society needs to become less competitive and fixated on money as the only reason and measure for success, and that can only be achieved by lessening the contrast between rich and poor. Thirdly, we need to regulate the access to weapons. They are just tools, but they are meant and built to kill, and that is what they are being used for.
@@joergmaass Sounds like a lot of excuses for this "polite, respectful, beautiful, magnificent gentalmen" who would go around and throw hot coffee on people.

She would probably for sure be the target of his deep seeded hate. This guy was a ticking time bomb regardless of his situation IMO. The most intelligent people known to humankind had it, the list would shock most people, almost anyone whos ever furthered mankind's understanding and modern technology. It really just mainly affects the social aspect of autism at that point. if you've ever met anyone with aspergers, you'll understand why it was so hard for him. It becomes nearly impossible to have healthy relationships with anyone, let alone friends or a potential girlfriend. Aspergers has been referred to by some as the brains ability to unlock some of the "limitors" set in place to keep us together and sane, doing so allowing the individual to really think outside the construct that others have set in place as a means of explaining away things that aren't fully understood yet. It really allows them to utilize their brain in a way that most others couldn't even dream of. However in doing so it has to take away from other areas of the brain. The social aspect. I'm sure he was very intelligent, if he could have talked through his problems of society with someone that's job it is to listen and help change the course of his thought process, say a counselor, this tragedy may have been avoided. However.. some of the most intelligent murderers known in modern history are strikingly similar to him.. the zodiac was thought to be someone with aspergers. Many of his decoded ciphers sound exactly like this man's manifesto. One of the zodiacs ciphers took 55 years to decode, and was thought to be decoded only this year in 2024. Tens of millions of people all over the world tried to decipher his letters for over half a century. Einstein was no mass murderer but.. America may not have won ww2 without the atom bomb. The invention of Electricity, the discovery of the cell and dna, the invention of wireless electricity, nuclear energy generation, microwave radiation, the first computer ever invented, the smart phone as we know it today by the late Steve Jobs, and today we have Tesla a company that created one of the first electric battery powered self driving autonomous vehicles headed by Elon Musk. The list is endless and goes back much further than the invention of Electricity. This guy could have potentially done incredible things with his life, he just needed a therapist. His parents should have been able to see that.
It's the social mistakes of awkward boys/men and those with autism. They do things they don't understand are socially unacceptable. Or they talk differently. Don't make eye contact. Make too much eye contact. Stare at people/people watch. He was mute around others. Definitely even more creepy combined with these other behaviors I mentioned. Standing too close to someone unfamiliar is another. Touching someone when it's not socially acceptable to do so. . . There's probably others.
Holy shit, that was a good watch. I used to date someone sort of like narcissistic ig.., how eerie their voice can sound when they speak of themself as Godlike 🙄 On another note, Elliot and I share the same birthday! Born on the Leo Cancer Cusp, i see the leo in his constant cravings for attention, the arrogance in his train of thought, and the cancer shows from him being overpossesive/jealous, the meticulous thinking, even the isolation and miscommunication.. I hope this helps pyschiatrists, therapists, doctors, especially students as an aid because him recording everything like that, we could learn a lot from studying these video journals he put together...
His mindset is so disturbing , the hate he has for himself and everyone around him , im aamzed he was not picked up way before he commited that horrendous act. He pretends to love himself but hes completwly empty inside
And that's the saddest part, no one picked up on it. Mental health is still a taboo subject in our society and the last to be picked up on. As one comedian said: "the problem with crazy people is, they don't know they're crazy" and others don't know what is going on in someone's brain. The thing is, they can contain themselves, until they can't and then they either snap and commit horrible crimes or they fall into a blithering mess. Many just don't see the build up, especially when they are socially distant, people will see bits and pieces and not able to piece together a puzzle.
@@utha2665 The people dont snap in the attacks , they snapped before, in their heads and they most likely have depression etc and dont give a fuck sbout anything and anyone so they want revenge and they want people to regret everything etc. Most murderers got treated like shit which led them to snap
You're kidding, right? The FBI knew about Nikolas Cruz months in advance and didn't do a damn thing. They knew he was making threats for months and allowed him to murder 17 people and injure 17. And this has happened in many so-called "mass shootings." I guarantee they knew everything about this poop stain and did nothing because that's what they do. Get a clue!
@@Quickyloopei Um, this is exactly what I said, read my post again. But there are people out there that are inherently evil and no amount of support will help them. I'm not saying this person was one of those people, we just don't know enough about him. To me, a layman, feel he had a personality disorder and couldn't self reflect, her just thought it was always someone else's fault. It's a complex field of which even the experts don't understand it all. Who knows what was going on in his brain, but I don't think it was due to what his parents did.
Good to see no girls ever gave him a chance, he was so dangerous. Actually he didn't want any relationship with women. He just want sex and it was all their faults not coming to sleep with him. His reason was weird enough! 😅
I struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts, and this really hit me hard. It sucks when you feel alone and have nowhere to go. I've learned to accept that things get better with time, even if it feels like time drags on forever. The only thing I've ever really wanted in life is love, and I'm still waiting to find it. However, as days go by I know I'm one step closer to overcoming it, no matter how hopeless I feel. I encourage anyone struggling to keep your heads up, the only limitations are the ones you set for yourself. The most important thing is to love yourself, I know it's hard sometimes, but keep at it. Good luck to everyone, and amazing (yet sad) video.
God loves you, he created you perfectly in his image, he sent his only begotten son to die on the cross to pay the price of our sins !!! He loves you and he is waiting for you, he wants to have a relationship with you, he will guide to to the life he has for you !!! Please seek him, it sounds unbelievable but he really is all you need when you put your trust in him !!! May God bring believers into your path so you can see and feel Gods love !!! God bless and keep you !!!
Get away from those religious people in the comments!. Just think, if you're a good person, you'll find eventually omeone. I never had problems finding partners, but I have no true friends, I think finding friends is harder than finding a girlfriend.
You won't find love if you obsess over it. Focus on becoming someone deserving of love. Trust me, I've been in your shoes before. Relationships are great, but if you take a step back you'd realize that life is so much more.
Keep going and do it for you. You deserve to enjoy life. Take it day by day but with goals or dreams to look forward too. And I agree with @kunchenliang8772 life is so much more than relationships.
This guy is the embodiment of the idiom; personality over looks, he was a genuinely handsome guy. But it's clear being in his presence put everyone off. Terribly sad. His parents have a lot to answer for.
Your remark about his parents is spot on. It is never an excuse, but parental abuse, rejection, abandonment and neglect are enormously traumatizing to any child, and can result in the type of condition, and subsequent destructive rage, Elliot had. It’s a horrible, immensely sad story that should have been prevented. The fact that his parents weren’t aware of what was brewing until way too late, says it all in terms of their failure, because that lack of interest and engagement was apparently their modus operandi. Elliott is fully responsible, but his parents are heavily complicit.
@@VonDutchNL below average is ugly. He was an above avg looking dude, you can be a lot less attractive and get girls. Personality is everything and dude was simply a disillusioned weirdo. Quite telling that all his roommates were also asain and he didn't even vibe with them.
Idk ppl are so quick to blame parents.. but he's an adult at this point who is responsible for his own actions and has every advantage to make his life good. I'd take my parents totally ignoring me with all the advantages he had over what I was given. His parents kept him fed, safe, and gave him every advantage to make something out of himself. I don't blame them at all
No, his parents don't have a lot to answer for. It was pretty obvious that parenting was clearly NOT the issue. I hate when ppl just come at the parents because of their son/daughters actions, simply not fair. You also have to remember, they lost their child too, regardless of how vile he was. That is not the person they knew. There are just sum really fvcked up ppl in this world who play the victim card their entire lives, even when they clearly are the furthest thing from a victim. This scumbag was one of those people.
Elliot is the poster-child for narcissistic entitlement and weak character. He could have had as many women as he wanted if he were not a hollow shell of self-loathing and emptiness. He makes my skin crawl.
Being socially inept and starved of companion isn't fun, regardless how rich you are. That being said Elliot was incredibly narcissistic, expecting to want to mingle with ppl he preferred whilst rejecting the ones that did want to be his friend
it’s not really a very expensive car. back when elliot had his it would probably be worth 15-20k depending on mileage, nowadays that same bmw is worth 5k.
It’s crazy how he felt others were trying to make him jealous while they were trying to do their own thing. How did he expect girls to like him while claiming to be sophisticated and not opening up to them? This is messed up!🤨🤨🤨
The best video Ive seen on Elliot Roger. Seen 120+ over last 10 years or so. I rarely give compliments but this video is filled with psychological analysis, great clips, breaks of constant talking by showing clips in between. Having great harmony of both clips and narration. Hypnotically interesting. Intelligent to say the least.
He was trapped inside his head, and his perception of reality was so warped. His insecurities manifested in narcissism. This is a sad case for all involved. I hope we can improve mental health care for minors. We need to care for children before they become adults and their minds are harder to change. Condolences to all of the victims.
Most autistics are narcissists. I am one and I recognise it. The thing is,,,there's apathetic, empathetic and sadistic narcissism Empathetic narcissists are easily manipulated as the feel a divine responsibility to save serve or just prioritise, everyone other than themselves. I suspect this guy is sadistic. Plus he had a high rejection dysphoria which is also a common trait with autism.
"To be interesting, you need to be interested" - The best advice I've heard when it comes to worrying about why people aren't interested in you. Just be interested in things (other then other people) and eventually you'll meet someone because they will find you interesting.
He was talking to us on Yahoo Messenger. ? What can you do in a chat? He wanted us t o like his car maybe sunglasses and all. Sure, we are interested in film making and like nice cars and all of that. Nice clothes. ? We could have talked to him more or ? He seemed to think money impresses us. And ? he was talking about cultural things on his travels in Europe. His dad told him to stop being so weird talking about cultural things all the time or he never wuold meet a girlfriend. Cultural things? What does that even mean? He told us about everything that's in all of these videos. Going to that other country and visiting friends in Europe and things like that. It was him. Same nicknames on Yahoo we remember all of that.
People never see themselves as the problem. It HAS to be everything, anything else other than themselves. It's not just narcissists, it's sociopaths as well. They think they're the main character in this movie we call life. It's kind of like how a-holes don't ever see themselves as such; they justify their behavior as earned, or deserved. Most evil stuff done in history is because the person justified it in their head.
@@Zidbits Don't make the mistake of thinking it's all on him though. Intimidation is a savage thing. If these grieving kids in the crowd went back to school the week after to intimidate the next guy, then they didn't learn a thing.
@@Zidbits narcissism is a learned coping mechanism. remember how he was ruthlessly bullied all throughout his entire childhood? when the father was saying he partly wishes his son wasn't born, what i wished on his behalf is that his son could have had a more accepting environment as a child. the issue with narcissism is that while it IS highly treatable (unlike psychopathy), the sufferer has to recognize the behavior and desire help. however as you said one of the symptoms of narcissism is not seeing the repercussions of your actions/self victimizing. it's very much like a drug addiction in that way. no one can make you quit, you have to seek it out for yourself. unlike a drug addiction, it isn't a choice, but a reaction to trauma, usually as a child. it's rather tragic.

Meh. I'm used to it. Problem is that some people are genuinely intelligent but don't learn how to recognize it. He had to open his mind to realize that there are going to be women out there who legitimately choose a worse option when all the information is available to them, then the tragedy switches to a comedy. You can live the rest of your life roasting others instead of murdering them. It is sad, but what's more sad is when someone doesn't overcome it.

@@MsNocell narcissism is a learned coping mechanism to deal with trauma, usually that suffered as a child. the guy was ruthlessly bullied his entire childhood, and who knows what home life was like. he sounds like he has some form of autism, which comes with it's own slew of issues such as social anxiety, depression, failure to fit in with society. he needed friends who actually cared about him, instead of what was most likely commiserates on 4chan. he wasn't a psychopathic evil monster, he had a lot of baggage that wasn't being dealt with until it was much too late.
He resorted to speaking to a mic about his inner thoughts, because it’s clear, his dad had a busy life, with little to no time, to spend having a relationship with his son. That’s the reason. Listen to what he asks, and what his remarks are. A father being present would’ve led his life into a completely different direction. It’s sad.
It's crazy to me that he is so focused on physical attraction but throughout all of his journals and videos it doesn't cross his mind to evaluate his mental attraction, which would lead him to stop doing down the self-destruction thought process and potentially seek help...
He also projected that onto people; evaluating their worth by their looks. Narcissists can't understand emotions, only appearances, so it makes sense as to why he lacked such sociological analysis. Truly a disgusting and tragic case
It's sad anyone ever feels like this, but there's no excuses for what he did. He had enough money to get help and figure out his issues rather than let them stir into a Tsunami 😢😢😢
What's even worse is he is a good looking guy. There's no reason why he couldn't be able to get a girlfriend. Maybe if he spent as much time trying to talk to girls as he did whining, he might have found someone. He expected women to search HIM out. Also, why didn't he just go on some dating app?
@@IdahoRanchGirl It sounds like he had problems with forming relationships from early on, and as said, he was teased/bullied by girls at one point and not accepted by the cool kids even though he thought his wealth would be a free pass. So, I'd guess coming back from this to a 'healthy' outlook wasn't possible, especially when you get constant negative feedback online and no group of friends to fullback on. Being 'normal' is not a switch you can just flip on and off. I'd say with his problems a dating app and any rejection wouldn't have helped. People like this have always been in or cast out of society...ever seen the film Carrie? But society will not believe they had any part in this...
I know exactly what you mean but, having been inexplicably like him in my youth, it's impossible to just snap out of it. The expression you use is quite ironic because money wouldn't stop an actual tsunami, and when self-loathing hatred is imbedded within your heart, soul, psyche, or whatever, there is no cure. I'm all grown up, loved and respected now, but I'm still haunted by cringe moments and hatred of bullies in my past.
His family did try from what I take from the story. As far as having a partner there is no right anyone has to demand one. The whole story is unfortunate don't get me wrong but it's nonsense at the same time. He looked 13 in a world of mature college men and women, not his fault but that didn't entitle him to special treatment. It's just life, either you find a way to navigate it or you don't.
Elliot had many things people don’t have in this world, bro get $1k allowance while many people work 60+ for only $700, bro had life made for him, and he blames just because he can’t get a girlfriend the world is so unfair, life isn’t about how you look, you don’t have to have the nicest things in life to pull off getting a bunch of girls. Watching this video I can hear in his voice the insecurity/unstable mentality. No “hot chick” wants to babysit a grown adult.

A reminder to us parents… guide, love, give quality time, help them to make friends and let us be a good example to our kids. Don’t let money do the parenting. Let us be responsible because aside from raising a child, our child is our contribution to society… how we raise them will affect the people around them. Be there, answer their questions and ask them “how are you?”. Find happiness on becoming a responsible parent not selfish for own happiness. Haha, every time I play, rarely play it now, I always think I'm going to win. It's probably a universal thing. Most people think that, or dream up stuff they are going to do when they win.
Meanwhile he was literally rich and got a thousand-dollar allowance like what, weekly? He bragged about his 300$ glasses, too. Switched schools constantly and was able to afford his own car. He had no concept of his privilege.
As someone who had no friends, and nothing going right in my life and looking around and seeing everyone doing so well and having many friendships. I can relate to the beginning of this, I haven't watched the end yet but I can't relate with how this turns to harming others; I was very depressed and lonely but found friendship online which dragged me through my younger life and once I grew older I more self reflected on how I can find new groups and meet people and set the immediate opinion of me by talking to new people and introducing myself vs sitting in silence fearing rejection. That was the biggest best change of my life, deciding to take action and not hide from others and come out of my shell no matter the consequences. You lose 100% of the friendships you take no action to make, I remember being so closed off inside the first people I spoke to just saying hi was painful, and I couldn't say much else or sustain a conversation as I never knew how... and those people aren't my friends anymore but they reciprocated and tried their best to sustain a conversation so if you ever lonely closed off talk to people... it's sounds obvious and stupid especially as fear will drive you away but always remember if you talk to people outdoors at random you'll likely never see them again anyway so they're great people to practice social skills on there's no repercussions. That being said the world could be a nicer place, all I wanted when I was younger was just one friend someone who I could talk to... and no one ever approached me the quite kid. If we all just noticed said hi, asked about their day we'd be more connected. I always say hello to quite person as an adult these days yes they'll be weird at least at first but you'll massively improve their quality of life. Me personally... I no longer gauge my life against the success of others on a daily basis anymore as it unhealthy and pushes that mental self harm an extra step, however I have moments of weakness where I gauge my social skills and see myself as 10 years behind my peers in life but I tell myself that's okay! I'll find my true place in life and succeed.. all I need to tell myself is if I want something to achieve something... I just need to work towards it, build a plan to overcome a fear, force myself to say hello to someone I like or invite someone I know out to a place. If it doesn't work out it's not the end of the world, it wasn't meant to be and other opportunities will come life is never a dead end it's filled with many branches of opportunities when door closers another will open. Stay mentally healthy my friends, and if you ever feel like you need to do something like the above video please channel that energy into pushing yourself against your fears, and setting small goals. Don't set the goal as a girlfriend by end of next year set it as a work friend, casual acquaintance etc and take baby steps towards where you want to be in life... talk to one random stranger every day for a year on the bus stop; yes that seems weird but you'll improve your social skills to build and maintain friendships in the future.
I've been going through something similar to eliot, but I blamed it all on myself. Since my intent in my life has always been to help others no matter what. So this video made me realize I chose the right thing to do.

you know what? I really do feel this guy.. I was the same.. When i was getting a friend i was so jealous if he was hanging out with someone else, i felt like woman never wanted me either.. Started to not talk to anyone else, then the bald kickboxer came around and i started hitting the gym i am in amazing shape i started doing muay thai and gained a bit more confidence, now woman do talk to me and i do have somewhat more friends.
Fun fact, I had the same issues as Elliot growing up, I also had very bad thoughts and I could not for the life of me speak when in a social setting, but with family I could, unless it's indirect family. I also often lock myself in my room, and have very wild day dreams that from a third persons perspective makes me look crazy, my siblings always made fun of that part of me. I'm the odd one out and I'm always alone. The difference is, I chose not to be cruel or inflict others with pain just because I was in pain... In addition, he has wealth, something that he can use to make himself better, I didn't have resources, I couldn't afford mental care, I fixed myself by observing and understanding what's right and what's wrong. I can speak comfortably now, I can make friends, and I've reached a very comfortable position in life. It's a choice, the mental issues and stress in life doesn't lead you to do that... He chose to care more about his own pain than consider the idea that others might be going through the same thing. What he has is not mental disorder, but a bad case of self-loathe. He chose to do that and he should suffer the consequence at it's fullest.

I currently work with someone with severe mental health problems, and have been present for two of their complete emotional breakdowns. Multiple co-workers and I have expressed concern many times to management with no action. I wish red flags were absolutely taken seriously.
@philn5703 You're writing about it in YT comments. Can't just expect people to not be curious and ask questions. You never know who's lives you could be saving by making sure those red flags are taken seriously. Please, for the potential safety of yourself, co-workers, and others, speak louder! Be heard! Because what's worse, doing something about it and being wrong or doing nothing about it and being right?
is it only teenagers who think people that work should act perfect all the time or get fired? life is complex and difficult, please don't pretend you have a degree in psychology or social work and diagnose 'severe mental health problems' and tell on them after seeing someone cry at work. You did your part and spoke up, now back off and mind your business. Someone having a complete emotional breakdown sounds like a woman to me and women are 99.9% less likely to shoot people up than men so move along. People love getting people fired, they get huge boners from it. You do realize everyone has to work to eat and have a roof over their head so maybe adjust your perception and learn to be a little kinder. *Holding in your emotions* can be more detrimental to your mental health. Something like 80% of people bullied at work are probably women. Testosterone seems to make people more violent, it's primarily men who commit violent acts, something like 98% of violent acts are by men historically. Why would you alert management about something you're afraid of, then be pissed they did nothing, if you're not just trying to ruin someone's life? You don't REALLY think your coworker that's naturally stressed by an uncaring, pressure filled, cutthroat, competitive, male-loving environment is going to shoot you do you
Here, let me show you the difference between actually caring about someone and just trying to get rid of someone who makes you look bad because you suck at your job: Caring: be kinder to the person, ask if they need help with anything they're working on, pitch in and help them with dumb annoying things everyone hates to do to help take some of the load off, stay a few extra minutes to help clean up mutual work spaces, listen to them talk, really listen. Trying to get rid of someone because they make you look bad and you suck at your job: Alerting management after seeing someone cry and suggesting they should be fired for having mental health issues because you know almost nothing and are super afraid so you just push them out. Literally every person who snaps has this long history of feeling shunned and mistreated. Society's solution the entire time was to push them out of the inner circles then act surprised when they snap. *Hey wow society can actually prevent this!* Be kinder to outsiders even when you don't understand them. Be more helpful. Learn to be a good listener. These things are not difficult yet people act like it's so super hard because all they care about is being part of the popular or powerful group. Not having hierarchies like this would help too. Stop telling outsiders they are not part of the group just because you've not sought to understand them or you're afraid. You being afraid is your problem to solve, not the person you're trying to eject from the environment. Work on yourself!
Everything Elliot says/writes comes off as a parody and knowing that it's genuine makes me cringe so hard that I fear I might accidentally transport myself into another dimension.

Being mad at the world never gives you the right to take it out on innocent beautiful lives. We've all struggled and we all have to find ways to mitigate that struggle, but there's a BIG turning point for those who choose violence as their answer, and they are always wrong.

I cant believe how absurd his hatred is. His videos literally sound scripted like a character from a movie. He was completely detached from reality and felt everything in life only affected him
before his vlogs he had years and years of his life full of rejections. why you people keep forgetting about it. And US laws are not making any easy for a guys to find someone at least "good enough". From very young age, majority eating disturbing food, developing unhealthy eat habits. So literally out of 100% US girls within your age range, - only 20% are good looking. How guys can "compete" on this market, - I don't know. Ugly people are literally everywhere in US.
Exacty it’s really sick! It doesnt seem real
He was obviously psychotic.
I think his life was more weird than horror movie. His father working in Hollywood, heshould shoot a movie about his son !
Victimhood was the black hole at the center of his worldview into which his every experience disappeared.
I feel like even if he did get a girlfriend, he would be INCREDIBLY posessive, and probably put her down all the time. He obviously has this huge fantasy in his mind of who he is and what a girl *should be and should do* he would have never had a girlfriend for long. And if that girlfriend left, God help her. She would probably for sure be the target of his deep seeded hate. This guy was a ticking time bomb regardless of his situation IMO. Any girl that he got with he would probably see as lesser-than and try to mold her to some perfect sense of what he wants a woman to be.
I truly think hes the type that he was on a path that could not end well. His mindset was too warped and he had this serious "main character" syndrome going on

What is so horrifying is that the police were told several times that he was a serious threat and yet they did not act properly. This could have been prevented with faster better investigative procedures and far clearer swifter communications with family, friends and those calling in because they saw his videos or read his manifesto. This should be investigated by an outside force and lessons learned. The police officers involved need more awareness and training ASAP !
Police are reactive, not proactive. If you rely on police to protect you, it very well may be a fatal decision.
You can't be a culture that arrests people we're going after people who are creepy otherwise you end up with pre-crime arrests and the civilization gets nuts the guy needed an intervention by police was not the answer

i grew up with one of the victims christopher martinez from kindergarten all the way through high school. Not only was he just genuinely a great person he was also athletic and very book smart. i have a memory where him and i had detention together during lunch time in elementary school, i clearly remember our punishment was writing out sentences of our reason why we were in detention, i remember our teacher complimenting him on his excellent handwriting skills (seeing we were 9-10 years old at the time) for some reason it's something that's embedded in my brain i will never forget. i even remember the teacher who gave the compliment (Mrs. Hartwell)
in school there's always certain crowds, popular kids, geeky kids, athletes, and from my memory chris was accepted by everyone due to his humble nature and kindness towards others. Very caring parents too, i remember them picking him up after school from the after school program.

he could have gone to dating coaches, there's so many good ones that guide you to develop an attractive personality in a way that brings out the best version of yourself. This guy should have been put down from the first video he made. It was clear he had no intention of fixing his issue but rather taking it out on others. You can't force someone to like you or find you attractive. That's life we all experience it. What you can do is work on yourself become the most attractive version of yourself.
It really makes you wonder what Elliott was doing to make people avoid/dislike him so much. Especially with being wealthy, dressing well, moving around a lot and then going to large colleges he really would have to be acting out to even garner enough attention to be picked on and generally avoided.
He was on the autism spectrum. High functioning, which used to be called aspergers syndrome when your that high functioning.
Musk bought that technology. He didn't invent it. He is an investor, not an inventor.

Parents gave him everything, never taught him how to deal with adversity.

He resorted to speaking to a mic about his inner thoughts, because it’s clear, his dad had a busy life, with little to no time, to spend having a relationship with his son. That’s the reason. Seems he had severe self loathing that completely poisoned his world view. Rational thought died out years ago.
i find him too similar to me but i dont hate others. More like blame myself sometimes
He also projected that onto people; evaluating their worth by their looks. Narcissists can't understand emotions, only appearances, so it makes sense as to why he lacked such sociological analysis. Truly a disgusting and tragic case

@KMVS8686minimum wage is 7.50. 60 hours would be 525 a week. So yeah his comment checks out.
I don't think he got the 1k a month part though....
I blame his father for bringing a Hapa into the world.
@@jessetreadway5249Where in the world do you live that min wage is only 7.50 hr?!? Its like 14.50 in my state going up to $15 on Jan 1st. Damn when I first began working 23 yrs ago min wage was 6.75 lol
This guy is a whole villain.
A very sad story but narrated better than any I have seen or listened to. Great job.
Thank you!!!
Sad to see this video… but these makes me appreciate the less fortunate kids (financially) but love their life. Humbled and appreciative of the time they have in this world. Peace is the real source of happiness. Prayers for everyone.
My daughter claims she has no friends. It worries me but her sister is good at talking to her.
@@Catherinna-vo5fkthat’s NOT ENOUGH…and not fair to your daughter …get her into therapy or something!!!
He "couldn't believe" he didn't win the 656 million lottery!? What evil, mean banknotes just torturing him with their absence.
Haha, every time I play, rarely play it now, I always think I'm going to win. It's probably a universal thing. Most people think that, or dream up stuff they are going to do when they win.
He feels overly entitled to everything. Literally
Meanwhile he was literally rich and got a thousand-dollar allowance like what, weekly? He bragged about his 300$ glasses, too. Switched schools constantly and was able to afford his own car. He had no concept of his privilege.
So much weakness that it hurts me physically.
Don't set the goal as a girlfriend by end of next year set it as a work friend, casual acquaintance etc and take baby steps towards where you want to be in life... talk to one random stranger every day for a year on the bus stop; yes that seems weird but you'll improve your social skills to build and maintain friendships in the future.
you did not need to right a whole book butt i respect it🥰
So glad you were able to work on yourself and make changes. Great advice to others struggling. You will do well in life.
great advice, wish more people who struggle with similar situations as this guy read this comment. personally helped me a lot.
Nice
let people release their stress, do not be a d**k about it... sheesh@@joharjundi7442
I've been going through something similar to eliot, but I blamed it all on myself. Since my intent in my life has always been to help others no matter what. So this video made me realize I chose the right thing to do.
I hope you're okay and know that you're not alone in this world ❤
It's good to hear you're doing better and making good decisions in the journey of life! Dont forget there are lots of people who care.
Exactly, why blaming others people what you gone through, you have a choice to choose the right track, hopefully you well overcome what you are going through. Good luck bud 👍
You should actually report yourself to the police cause at this point, hmmm
@@norval.tvonyt "why blaming others people what you gone through, you have a choice to choose the right track" ...Neurotypical mfs always think everyone is sane.
That poor man talking about his murdered son. He’ll never be the same.
A guy who never blamed himself. He should've seen a psychiatrist early on.
Precisely. He didn't understand that the vicious cycle he was in was all caused by himself. He projected and blamed others..

The worst part is that if he just dropped the incel attitude and actually talked to women, he probably would’ve gotten a girlfriend and gotten his life turned around. He’s not even a bad looking dude, but he made himself ugly with this horrid personality
@Fred.Carpenter Better to have be stupid and have a heart than being narcissistic, self entitled and have no heart. There is no love in a person with no heart
We had one in Australia named Sef Gonzales. His upper middle class parents gave him a university education and a car. He didn't want to work or work hard at studying. He wanted the estate and considered himself a pop singer. He murdered his parents and sister.
WHY did he do that
@@JinaMukherjeeFThere is no justification. None.
@@peaceful3250 goddamn thats scary
It seems their fault to raise that evil
@@JinaMukherjeeF @ZoeSpinnet explains the case in detail.
you know what?
He chose to do that and he should suffer the consequence at it's fullest.
me to i had problem with talking to ppl but when i grow up i realised theres more to life u know
Hope u feel better soon! Virtual hug! :(
I'm so glad to hear that you took a different approach and worked hard to help yourself get through the darkness. I commend you and acknowledge how difficult that must have been! 🫶🏼💕
Kinda same for me
People are just built different.
Whats sad is hes not a bad looking guy. Its his attitude that sucks
Not just sucks. Its absolutely repulsive. Even if your looks is a 10, having an attitude like him would instantly make you a 0
Yeah..im really weird when he say he’s different than other guys..until he trying to change his colour of hair because to look same with another guys. Im shocked because he has a good looking, how can he think a bad thing like tht. Its really easy the devil influenced the human mind. Poor this handsome boy. If I knew him b4, i will try to motivate him to be a good/positive person. Serious i tell all of u, be positive & always think positive..because u are wht u think.
I currently work with someone with severe mental health problems, and have been present for two of their complete emotional breakdowns. Multiple co-workers and I have expressed concern many times to management with no action. I wish red flags were absolutely taken seriously.
What's his name n what does he do?
@@girl38rockifyOut of respect for this person and their mental health struggles, why does that matter?
You don't REALLY think your coworker that's naturally stressed by an uncaring, pressure filled, cutthroat, competitive, male-loving environment is going to shoot you do you
Here, let me show you the difference between actually caring about someone and just trying to get rid of someone who makes you look bad because you suck at your job:
Caring: be kinder to the person, ask if they need help with anything they're working on, pitch in and help them with dumb annoying things everyone hates to do to help take some of the load off, stay a few extra minutes to help clean up mutual work spaces, listen to them talk, really listen.
*Hey wow society can actually prevent this!*
Be kinder to outsiders even when you don't understand them.
Nobody ever taught him that he had to love himself first. The rest would follow. Sad..
Everything Elliot says/writes comes off as a parody and knowing that it's genuine makes me cringe so hard that I fear I might accidentally transport myself into another dimension.
I've read so many killers journals, manifestos, seen their video diaries but never have I actually felt my body tighten more and more with embarrassment after each word. It's almost impressive.
Apart from being the ultimate gentleman, he was indeed the ultimate cringelord
Alex Minassian’s interrogation seems like an amateur actor auditioning for a poorly written scene from Law and Order: SVU,
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this.
I know, I can't BELIEVE he admitted to all that out loud and online! So embarrassing.
" I might accidentally transport myself into another dimension." 😅😆 exactly my feeling. We all have shortcomings, be patient guys.
