    Please can you explain deeply
    I agree oximes can't reverse carbamates poisoning as it carbamates occupy both Esteratic and anionic side but how it worse by its own weak anticholinestera activities @Nonstop Neuron

      You know! The answer is hidden in what you have already said. But let me simplify. Forget carbamates or phosphates. Think what would happen if a normal healthy person (without carbamate or organophosphate poisoning) takes oximes? No, really think before reading further. Here is the answer. Oximes will occupy anionic site of enzymes that are working. So acetyl choline won’t be able to attach and get hydrolyzed. Thus, activity of cholinesterase is inhibited by oximes. This exactly is what we mean when we say oximes have weak anticholinesterase activity. Same thing happens in carbamate poisoning also. So, they should not be used. As a matter of fact, same thing happens in organophosphate poisoning also, but in that case benefit by activation of inhibited enzymes is more than loss by inhibition of non-inhibited enzymes by oximes. In case of carbamates, there is no benefit i.e. no activation of inhibited enzymes and on top of that, we are losing non-inhibited enzymes by oximes. Watch 01:00 to 01:40 minutes of the video.     Did u took this from KD Tripathi book ? Because same to same lines are written there.. However, your explanation is good. I closed KDT, and watched your lecture.. and I got the concept. It was well animated also.
