Thanks John for the amazing parts and guns you build. I’m patiently awaiting for my shot at the 15 lower and I saw your heat seeker build in ballistic mag. Needless to say I jumped on my phone and ordered my own heat seeker parts right away before they are bought up!! Now it’s time to go pick up the Ruger American that I don’t currently have 😂, your parts are works of art and worth wait. The hogue rubber grip with beaver tail doesn't fit on this, just FYI to those purchasing. Great fit and great chassis! Can't wait to shoot it.
Doesn‘t fit on the regular precision rimfire aswell, you gotta cut the beaver tail haha.

i have been looking for a chassis system for my 6.5 Ruger American I came across this set up but there is only one video showing this chassis shooting and its not the guy that owens the gun, there are hundrends of MDT chassis on here showing people shooting, I was hoping to find a few vidoes show if the chassis help with accuracey but there are none.

I'm having trouble understanding which mags to get. I have looked at multiple chassis for this rifle, and none come with a magazine.
It would be nice to get a complete package.
If the H/S chassis used only ACIS mags, that leaves out Ruger American's Ranch chambered in .300 Blackout, will Ruger's standard 20rd box mags work?

no this one is for the Ruger American short action - 308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. Grendel is mini action sized. We make a Heatseeker for Howa Mini Action as well that covers calibers 223, 30blk, 7.62x39 and 6.5 Grendel (which is one of my favorite calibers).
Revising my comment here as I learned yesterday about a AICS mag conversion for 6.5 Grendel. Conversion kit from a company called Primal Rights. It looks solid. Because Ruger's exterior action dimensions are the same on the 6.5G (as the 308/6.5 CM) this may mean Heaseeker works fine for it, as long as you are using an AI mag converted to feed Grendel. I will try it myself if I can find a Ruger 6.5G. Will report back.

Would a Ruger scout .308 rifle work?
I just got a sharps upper and handgaurd and it fits like a glove to my silencerco sco15 lower. Like it was a match set. Only issue is the handgaurd and upper and lower all all 3 different blacks. At least match the upper and handgaurd colors.
all of our upper & lowers are made from 7075-T6 aluminum. They should anodize the same. Both are anodized at the same facility. Most handguards, including ours, are made of 6061 though (to keep consumer prices low) which anodizes with a slightly different sheen of black.
@@JSharps thanks for the reply. The quality is phenomenal so the color issue is minor. I'll most likely cerakote the whole thing anyway.

yes it will fit fine (but convert it to take standard AI pattern magazines)
Magpul makes 10 round mags for this build. Just put mine together. Literally took ten minutes. It took me more time to install an M-Lok bipod than it did to put the chassis and handguard on. Make sure to get a buffer tube, or that the butt stock you do get has one.
Now in Ruger American Predator .223 please...
Fits the 223 Predator just fine... but converts it to taking short action AI pattern magazines. MDT sells that type of magazine. So does Accurate and MagPul has been promising one to release this summer (2021)
