Yeah same shocking feeling, I have watched it countless times, every time I open prime I end up watching it, instead of anything else.😅
I loved the back and forth between Reacher and Finlay. Two polar opposites in every sense starting out with outright hostility and contempt and ending with eating peach pie together at the diners and still being cocky towards each other. Brilliant series. One of the very well adapted version of the books.
The best thing about his fight scenes is that you actually believe that this man is capable of doing that kind damage to any number of men bcoz of his intimidating physique
He also played Middle Linebacker at Blue Mountain State.

I like how the fights looks "real". He's built like a truck and clearly league above everyone else there, but the moment a knife get involved he stops or run to get more options and be able to control it.

I like the combat in this show cuz Reacher's blows sound VERY weighty. He's clearly a very big and strong dude and the way his blows sound and how his opponents react make it obvious that he's puttin the force of god into these attacks.

@@benjackson6260 Yes, I've seen all that you've mentioned. That last season of Jack Ryan was a bit rushed and underdeveloped, but still entertaining.
Lee Childs wrote a lot of Reacher books, and every one of them deserves it's own season!

If you're waiting for Season 2 in December you could read the book it's based on, Bad Luck And Trouble. Its really good.
The entire series is very well done, Reacher is a unique character and Childs paints an entire scenario in every book. They're all worth reading.

Reacher can beat a bunch of bad guys. However, a rookie with a crawbar almost beat him to death! Incredible!!
I agree it bothered me how much he struggled in that fight. I get it its a crowbar, but he was twice his size. He should have been able to grab it or use the momentum against him more easily than was shown in that fight
💯 That whole fight scene defied all logic for me. No amount of plot armor could explain it.
Gotta suspend disbelief in certain situations. That whole fight being one of them
@@alexmohr2387I don't think you know how much a weapon tilts the scales in a fight. Someone with a little experience with a weapon will have at least a shot against an unarmed expert.
Crowbars especially, you can do a lot of damage. Getting hit with a metal rod fucking hurts, and no matter how big and tough you are, it will stun you to some degree. Reacher recovered from those hits remarkably quickly, because he is a big fucking tank. But he is still human, and a crowbar to any body part will hurt.
Against a crowbar, one mistake is all it takes for what could be an easy fight to turn into a one sided beat down because you fucked up a block and now your wrist has an extra bend somewhere.
The dude was very clearly not a rookie.
It was surprisingly good. Especially comparing to the streaming competition. Thank you and please, continue 🙂
