I think a bigger problem with disability representation is how the story is written, Sia's movie wasn't just awful because of the actress not being autistic, another huge reason was the writing not understanding how autism works, especially with the restraint scenes. Even then, there are plenty of stories written about mental disorders written by people who did proper research, that are amazing. Authentic voices can help a lot of stories, but they aren't nessisarally a requirement. The bigger problem with Hollywood stories in particular is that they want to hire famous people in their films, so they hire them instead of a disabled actor who's a newcomer, they go with someone famous.
That’s why I really like the Pixar short Loop the animators and writers put a lot of care into the short and researched autism to make it inoffensive and even got an autistic girl to play the autistic character
Exactly, you're right on the money. The problem isn't the casting, because, you know, acting is an actual thing, it's the god-awful writing that accompanies these movies most of the time. Which seems to be 99% of big Hollywood movies these days, actually minus the big indie hits like Parasite, Everywhere All At Once, and RRR. Sia's movie was the absolute worst example of this made by people who probably hate autistic people or something and want to ruin their reputation. Probably some secret plot from the hollywood deep state cult to diminish the value of the spiritually enlightened, since only autistic people are the only ones who can truly comprehend God and are the next natural stage in human psyco-spiritual evolution. I kid, I kid. Unless...
@@krimsonkatt Autism aside, no need to be so cynical about cinema, there are lots and lots and lots of good films out there getting ignored or bashed because people just focuses on over the top "artistry" usually independent films that everyone knows about. That's the mindset that's provoking the "Mario Movie rating controversy" right now, just to cite a example.
With the pistol emoji becoming the water gun emoji, I’m wondering if it would be different if it was a sci-fi ray gun instead. Better yet, if Nintendo wants to make their own, we need the Zapper.
See, I feel like sci-fi blaster (the more cartoony the better!) would be better than water gun as well. While I do love Star Wars, I wouldn't want a blaster from it as an emoji since they still look like a basic gun (even if they shoot lasers and not bullets). I mean, I wouldn't miss a gun emoji at all, since I don't use them in the slightest (aside from ones like the thumbs up), but I'd just want to be more considerate toward those who were affected by mass shootings (or gun violence in general). After it's happened, I'm sure it's been hard to recover. Even military vets may return home with PTSD, and fireworks and thunder trigger them, so some emojis are just better off not made, especially if it's based off a real weapon. Or if they ARE made, at least give the person the ability to make them invisible so they can't be used, or just simply delete them.
I'm disabled. I think the new disability symbol is much better than the old one, and it's extremely frustrating that the government is impeding its adoption. I consider this an abuse of authority.
well they are the same asshats who created anti-homeless architecture which not only makes life even worse for homeless people but actively inconveniences people with disabilities. like removing all seats from subway stations. (not political just pointing out something some jerks with too much power and not enough empathy are doing)
I know these emojis were disturbing Like The disability emoji in this it’s extremely frustrating that both emojis had to be removed from phones and iPads but We don’t have both both emojis anymore
Emojis being banned is shocking, but having them controversial isn’t far fetched. Considering some of them can be confusing for having emotions, poor timing, having potty humor, the case of bullying, or innuendos.
Seems like a ironic ""cancelation"" to me. Like when people started massively hating the Ice Age baby o began doing videos of Caillou being grounded for his sins on GoAnimate.
@@mike-6139 idk there’s been some VERY stupid real controversies before. Take it from someone who has witnessed the Genshin Impact fanbase’s bullshit at least twice now. With the amount of molehills made into mountains surrounding that game, it’s almost impossible to know what’s actually a serious issue in the game and what’s just a minor inconvenience being blown out of proportion.
@@AiLoveAidoru I mean, for what I know the burger fandom is usually pretty healthy (yeah, I have been on food groups, as weird as it sounds) Now, if you wanna talk about idiotic controversies there's the Star Wars fandom.
A tidbit about Christianity, usually the far-right-leaning ones' nonsense beef with the LGBT community; there was a quote in an edition of the Bible that had been mistranslated to say just... vile things. The CORRECT translation of the quote was to actually forbid p-philia, which I think is a much, MUCH bigger issue.
yeah it was like, Man can not date Boy. boy is sometimes used to mean, young man. 18-younger. so yeah. Translators brought this massive social issue to us to be contested for 100s of years. personal I am with this side. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤. :)

The poop emoji itself didn't annoy me... It was the ENDLESS MERCHANDISE and usage of it that annoyed me! By the way Strider, Happy Easter to you and your fiancée and Boo! I hope you destroyed the tastes of those disgusting generic brand Easter eggs with plenty of Cadbury eggs!
I refuse to use emojis unless it's the basic heart one. The others I only use it on accident. Like the time I put in :) and it automatically got changed into the smiling emoji. How dare they.
I know what you're saying. I remember in December 2015 when I was a senior in high school, I saw a girl in the cafeteria wearing a turd emoji Xmas hat with her ugly Xmas sweater and being very surprised that the staff allowed her to wear it in the building, even though it was obvious what it was supposed to be.
Thank you for hearting me @PhantomStrider! I'm also on the autistic spectrum and it's nice to have someone who also has it creating wonderful content on UA-cam. I agree that there needs to be more TRUE representation of us all. One day, I want to work for Pixar and create an autistic woman character. I truly hope that disabled emoji becomes a sign. We WILL make it happen!
I agree the new handicapped icon is so much better than the old one it looks more fun and like you stated, dynamic. It does look like the person is in motion and is pushing themselves forward. It gives the impression the person does not need assistance from anyone.
On the Peach thing... It's a cultural reality. It's almost a cliche. I think all over Asia but very much in Japan that's basically always the joke. That a peach will always resemble a butt. You can see this in, for example, Okami, when you visit the old man in the tiny village. He has peach drawings on the wall and if you slash an art scroll it reveals an artpiece of the peach expanded into a full body, showing it used as the butt of a beautiful woman.
another great video, Josh! also thank u for keeping it real with us while still remaining positive and optimistic, also as a viewer who is a bisexual woman i really appreciate your realness and support towards the end of the video. people being their true selves and wanting to be loved and accepted the way they are should not be so taboo but unfortunately there is still tons of work left to do in regards to acceptance and support for the LGBTQ+ community and some people and places are still so insanely backwards. it's good to know i'll always have a safe space in your fan community :)
Harambe did not attack the child. The child fell/jumped into the enclosure while their guardian was not paying attention. The gorilla grabbed him and kept running from one side of the enclosure of the other, like it would trying to protect a baby gorilla, because it was getting riled up by the onlookers screaming and otherwise freaking him out. Human children bodies are not as resilient as baby gorillas', though, the crowd could not be calmed down so that the zookeepers might have a chance to go in and defuse the situation, and, with the compounding risk that hitting Harambe with a tranquilizer would further put the child in danger (either hitting him directly or the surprised, hurt, and rapidly uncoordinated with sedation animal doing something unfortunate), the zoo officials had to shoot and kill the gorilla. The child came out fine. The guardian was never charged. Harambe died. The zoo's public image was rescued shortly afterward thanks to a premature hippo named Fiona being born and raised by keepers. And the chronically online made Harambe a meme.
I'm not sure if a Gorilla would drag a baby gorilla many meters across the ground like a rag doll, banging their head on the concrete. You can see in footage that Harambe dragged the child along the ground for several meters, battering him, but I excluded this footage in the name of good taste. As it is extremely shocking to see. According to news reports, he was shot because the zookeepers didn't want to risk having a child's limbs ripped off. Tranquilizer was too risky as this would not have acted fast enough. A gorilla is not as predictable as a human when a change is introduced to their habitat. I wonder how different the social media anger against a gorilla shooting would be if we also had a dead child because zookeepers didn't act fast enough. If you'd like to see the footage and explanations from zookeepers, I've attached the link here: ua-cam.com/video/BUCfY270l7k/v-deo.html
Sheesh, I could NOT imagine the complete awkwardness revolving around the Clown and Gorilla emojis. Whoever made them were clearly just doing there job, but I imagine they were sweating a little bit lol
24:01 Just a heads up, many trans people prefer the term "transgender" rather than "transexual" as transexual implies it is a sexual thing, when it is not.
I doubt they even know the real meaning of the word. That and they don't care to hear it, only what their tiny little worlds dictate what it should be.
Emoji Movie 2 will never happen because Sony Animation has redeemed themselves with Spiderverse 1&2, Captain Underpants, and Mitchells VS the Machines and will NEVER go back to the dark days of the Emoji Movie and Hotel Transylvania. Heck, they almost completely cancelled HT4 (which was in development before Spiderverse) because they wanted to improve their reputation, but decided instead to transfer development of the animation to a Chinese studio and then shadow drop it on Netflix out of nowhere. Now Sony is #2 with DreamWorks at #1 who is finally getting out of their first real dark age (Kung Fu Panda 3 to Boss Baby 2) as Disney fails deeper and deeper at being even slightly good. I 100% expect Disney to go out of business in the next 10 years, mark my words...
I completely agree with what Strider thinks and said about Twitter. It is probably the least civil and most a**-backwards website ever. People on Twitter getting so heated about a water gun emoji and claiming it “censorship” while not understanding or almost not caring as much about all the real censorship happening to other cultures in other countries is a very real thing. I haven’t been on Twitter for almost a year now, and, apart from some of my online friends, I haven’t missed a lot about that place. That’s why I think it’s best to spend as little time as you can on there. Being away from a place like that really can help you mentally.
Also, UA-cam comments can be pretty toxic as well. The other day I was watching an old video of a celebrity doing videos during the pandemic and suddenly people got over the top mean, like trying to humiliate a celebrity for staying at home because apparently that was ultraegotistical from them.
As an autistic person myself, non-autistic actors playing autistic characters has never bothered me personally. I view it the same way I view any actor playing a character with differences from themselves. The art of acting is to be able to become someone you're not, and I don't really feel comfortable setting a precedent that only actors that share certain traits with the characters they play can play those characters. If, for example, we decide that only gay actors can play gay characters, then logically the reverse would also be true, that only straight actors can play straight characters. But if that were the case, we never would have had Jim Parsons playing Sheldon Cooper, and he fits that role so well.
I never knew emojis could be controversial... But then again controversy can be found pretty much in anything 🤣🤣🤣 So this is gonna be a interesting video
This list in a nutshell -Sexual emojis -Emojis that were censored (sometimes rightfully, other times not) -The LGBT emojis (gay emojis, pride flag emojis, pregnant man emojis, crossdressing emojis, nonbinary emojis, etc) -Classic Phantom Strider religeon bashing! @@80sDisneyFan from what I've seen, it's only the vocal minority of Christians or the conservative ones. Still he shouldn't insult a whole group over that. And that part "I don't blame him for thinking that way" also hurtful. Like your kinda saying that this view is justified when it's not.
I get what you mean about the actor thing. Blind person here, and it seriously bothers me when a blind character isn’t played by a blind actor like in AppleTV’s, ‘See.’ That show infuriates me beyond belief. Though I personally don’t mind the accessibility icon and find it stupid that it’s been banned. Another thing that bothers me about Apple’s emojis from a BVI perspective. Apple has emojis like, “Deaf person gesturing to their ear,” but they don’t have just, “Blind person,” or even, “Visually impaired person.” Instead, they have, “Person with white mobility cane.” It’s like they’re afraid to call a spade a spade. A PSA to everyone reading this, blind is not a slur. Please don’t be afraid to use it. You can say visually impaired, of course, but there’s nothing wrong with the word blind. Hell, it’s in my own username. Thank you for handling this topic with so much respect, Strider. Another wonderful video ❤
As someone who’s disabled (bad eyesight due to a nystagmus caused by hydrocephalus), I don’t see why it even matters what the accessibility symbol looks like as long as it’s doing it’s job. Also, the (since I’ve noticed a common pattern with the color yellow in your videos) another reason that yellow is often used as a skin color to not show a specific race is because yellow is often used as a color in advertising due to how eye catching it is.
I suspect the problem is that it is a legally required symbol under ADA with very specific details (like the background *must* be blue, green is not official and therefore isn't recognized as compliant). If the design was changed then the law would have to be updated and everyone would have to update their signs or else be non-compliant and face fines. And the reason there has to be 1 universally recognized symbol is because otherwise people could not maintain the alert (letting the paint wear away but so long as there's faint blue they are ok) or could frivolously sue because "it wasn't what I thought it meant." It's probably more a "legal red tape" thing than anything else.
As someone who is disabled with low vision, I absolutely love the updated dusability symbol. I’m honestly confused as to why they aren’t using it, because it’s such a better representation of it. But the accessible parking is still called a handicap placard, so not surprising. Just because someone has a disability doesn’t mean they are handicapped. Love your content and how respectful you are of others.
"Handicap" parking spots are probably the reason why there are "problems" (not "controversies") with the new logo. Here in the states public places are legally required by the Americans with Disabilities Act to offer close and wide parking spaces that are clearly identified with blue parking lines and the 1960s blue wheelchair symbol, and when discussing legally required symbols there is no wiggle room for how it looks since every detail has to match. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I know at my work where we have flammable and caustic chemicals they all have to have very specific hazard icons or else it is illegal.
I think you’re amazing Strider. Your content is entertaining and informative…. But more than that, I love that you’re doing your bit to make the world a better place

Just throwing it out there, as a Christian, my God doesn't hate gay people. We've just been wrong, judgmental jerks in the past. Our job is to be loving and compassionate to everyone like Jesus was. I try to always love God and everyone no matter the circumstances.
Not just in the past, I'm afraid. We're still judged and voted against by self-identified Christians, in the name of their God. I'm tolerant of the average Christian and regard them the same as anyone else, but some of your fellows are still in the Dark Ages.
23:45 Please do not conflate Christianity with homophobia. Speaking as a Christian myself, I am disgusted by the concept of homophobia and am saddened when people treat the two as though they are the same thing. Jesus loves everyone, not just heterosexuals.
I totally get your frustration with that but sadly a lot of religious people, especially christians (at least in my experience), really have something against lgbtq, I'm glad you don't but still there's so many, like I'm not welcome in my local church for being queer
Okay but the problem is that you continue to push the “gay=sin” bullshit. You continue to push that we’re going to hell for shit we literally can’t control. You can control what religion you follow, you can control who you decide to hate. It’s Christians and other religious people making laws against us, it’s disgusting.
@@jayforestthings @jayforestthings I can't really speak too much from experience because I've most of my life in only one church and it's very lgbtq+ friendly. For the water gun: consistency is extremely important for communication. Different platforms can stylize emoji in different ways, but they need to always depict the same thing. If one person picks the water gun emoji because they want to evoke playfulness, and the recipient sees the realistic pistol emoji instead, that us unnecessary misunderstanding and friction. The water gun strikes me as a very obvious example of virtue signalling -- when a party tries to appear to be more moral and to appear to care more about an issue than they actually do. Seeing squirt guns where others see weapons is not at all solidarity for victims of gun violence. I'd say it's quite the opposite.
There indeed could be a mis-interpretation issue 🙂 Fortunately, almost every single larger social platforms now use the water gun emoji. So hopefully there should be very little mis-interpretation nowadays. Also, out of curiousity, when would victims of gun violence possibly benefit from having a gun emoji? It's hard to imagine when a young person or old person would possibly need to use a real gun in their emojis.
@@phantomstrider "when could they benefit from having it" is the kind of question relevant to a discussion of removing it. But I don't think it's fair to assess this as similar to removing the pistol emoji. It's more like obscuring it. Nowadays, a lot of people are going to be aware that the water gun emoji is the pistol emoji in new clothes, and I do expect that to color how people who care about guns perceive it -- whether they care by virtue of being a victim of violence or for some other reason. Until you see "The water gun emoji used to be an emoji of a real pistol" broadly treated as trivia, this won't be a removal of the pistol emoji.
I really think Russia banning LGBTQ emojis just gross. Just let people be themselves if they're not hurting anybody. I just feel sorry for people who have to go through this. This just pisses me off.
21:08 Pretty tragicomic that while the pistol emoji was changed, all the other tools/weapons that could be potentially used for murder were left intact. These include a knife, bow and arrow, a dagger, crossed swords and even a bomb. One of these was, however, altered slightly, and it was the dagger, which now has a light turquoise/teal blade and some magical sparkles around it.🔪🏹🗡⚔💣

I've seen a lot of people hate on bigoted countries/states, but its so rare to see actual sympathy to those in those places forced to be closeted for their safety. It's good to always be thankful to what we have, while also not forgetting those in worse situations deserve sympathy. You were already one of my favorite channels, but the last entry enforced that so hard in my mild, cause you care so much for the world and people in it. Hope you have a good day, and thanks for the smiles I get from all your videos :]

Nerd emoji isn't that contraversal because it's only used for mild teasing, which doesn't meet the list. Honestly I don't care being called a "nerd." Because in this day and age, nerds literally rule the world and are the most powerful and successful. Knowledge is power after all. The nerd who got relentlessly bullied in middle school is now the CEO of a successful company and a multi-billionaire while the bully is either a fast food employee or in prison.

Hey, Strider. Physically disabled guy here (wheelchair-bound since birth). I’m from the US, lived here all my life, and I’ve never actually seen that new disabled sign. I think banning it is weird, but it’s just another example of the people who make the rules not belonging to the subset of people who are affected by the rule. Also, I’m with you on the autistic actor concept. There are surprisingly few disabled actors who play disabled roles. I’d gladly take some of those roles in movies or TV.
I’m not sure about anyone else but personally I find Homophobia absolutely disgusting, the idea that people are being discriminated against just because of different sexual Preferences is just outright shocking.
It’s so weird to me that people are bothered by other people doing their own thing that won’t affect them at all, and this is one of those examples. It’s just very stupid to get offended by someone just being gay, it doesn’t even make sense.
Honestly somehow I wasn't even suprised about #1. Also on a sidenote I'm a Christian but I will NEVER bully anyone who is gay because I may not know what they may be going through.🐻
I'm a Christian *and* openly bisexual. People who think bashing people for their sexual orientation is right based on Leviticus have absolutely no concept of "context".
Well spoken👍. I’m also Christian and one of the first verses taught to me by my family, school, and God is to respect and love others. I’m not sinless so if I judge anyone it makes me hypocritical. You all take care.
I hate how disability is universally perceived as a hindrance and that those who identified as disabled must abide to this conception of being impotent husks. You have to be insanely powerful to work around your limitations especially when the world is designed to further limit you. Speaking for myself, it's easy to work around disadvantages I do have because I'm already used to having to put up with them in other areas, either that or I power through it. (I'm not physically disabled, I do have ADHD and aspergers though)
💯 in agreement with you. That’s kind of what drove me to be successful ever since my epilepsy started when I was 7. The doctor was blunt but he said that I’d likely become retarded(a description that still burns me😤) and that I’d have a difficulty with everyday things. The only thing that truly hinders you from accomplishing your goals is doubt. It’s why inspirational speaking and encouraging people(disabled or not) can really improve their futures. Life is supposed to be difficult, it’s what makes success and accomplishments more satisfying when you get there.
I will just say this, You can feel how you want to feel as long as you are not hurting anyone else! I have Cerebral Palsy & I personally liked the newer logo they made. I hope you Strider & everyone in the world is doing great & that everything goes well for you & your family in the future!
@@spicybeantofu That’s fine too! Everyone has feelings towards a particular topic. Something 1 person likes, somebody else probably hates. For example, my favorite Pokémon is the Totodile evolution line! But a lot of people prefer Charizard, or the Cyndaquill line over him! It is ok to have different opinions or feelings, but respect other people’s opinions too!
As someone who considers them partly catholic, I just want to clarify that not everyone who believes in this religion is homophobic. My father is catholic and he's perfectly fine with homosexual people. Same goes with me. I myself get really pissed whenever people who like the same gender get treated like shit. Not to mention the fact that there have been cases of Christian people showings up at pride parades and being supportive. Also, the Pope himself is fine with LGBT people as well. It's not a sin to be gay. Any Christian who says otherwise is not a true person of God. I just wanted to say this since it was said in this video that Christians are homophobic. It's a misconception that I hate being brought up and I wanted to correct it.
As a wheelchair user the debate over the accessibility icon is INCREDIBLY silly. It seems like the whole debate is the figure in the original symbol was just sitting there, and the new one shows a person in motion... Thinking about other simplified icons depicting people (bathroom signs, crosswalks etc) sometimes the person is just standing and sometimes they're moving/walking. I don't see a problem with using both and both the hatred for the new symbol and the graffiti over the old symbol are both pointless and don't accomplish anything. There's bigger problems facing disabled people than if the stick figure in a wheelchair is moving or not.
My best guess for the ban on the new disability icon is because the character in said icon is hunching. I think the federation believes that makes the character either "too active for a disabled person" or "not disabled enough to be considered disabled", as the pose may suggest that the character is still able to move with its back freely, which is the opposite of "disabled" and may encourage people to pretend to be disabled in order to take advantage of areas restricted to disabled people (e.g. parking spaces). Yeah it sounds kinda dumb, but it's the best I can think of. Sometimes restrictions and bans are placed for stupid reasons.
I’m glad strider brought some attention to the new disability symbol. I didn’t even know people were trying to change it, which I appreciate. I live in one of the areas that have said they adopted it but I haven’t seen them anywhere before! I’m gonna have to keep my eyes peeled next time I’m out and about!

And a while ago I asked if you could Waterfall......but seeing your juggling skills in this vid....haha just betting you can......Love you man. I wish you well. Wish I was as good at juggling as you are.
I'm autistic as well, and on the topic of a neurotypical actor playing an autistic character, I disagree with the notion that an actor necessarily has to be a member of the social group they portray; it is acting, after all, and the whole point is to be able to portray something you're not. What I do take issue with (and I have no idea where the specific example pointed to in this video stands, I'm just mentioning this as a general statement) is when a social group is depicted in media content without having input from people who are members of the social group being depicted (for example, a movie that depicts Japanese society but has nobody in the writing room, cast, or crew who has any actual firsthand experience with Japanese culture); the reason for this is that, by failing to include people who are familiar with the culture they're depicting, the content creators run the risk of unintentionally misrepresenting the people they depict (to continue my example, they may fail to understand subtleties of customs and language, which could lead to something intended as positive or benign being interpreted as offensive; look up George H.W. Bush flipping off Australia when he thought his hand gesture would be interpreted as "V for Victory" for a real-world example of this exact kind of thing). It also gets particularly complicated when trying to gatekeep actors portraying characters with mental or neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism (or bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, or OCD, or a variety of others) because there are no definitive ways to test for those conditions; diagnosis is inherently subjective to an extent, and even when a diagnosis is present, symptoms may not be obvious. There is no way to say with certainty that a particular person is or isn't autistic. But again, at the end of the day, I personally don't care; all I care about is that the representation is accurate, and, on the specific topic of representing autism, that can be done by having an autistic writer and a neurotypical actor just the same as having a neurotypical writer and an autistic actor.
I’m autistic myself and I 100% agree with you on this. As long as the representation is done right and properly, I also don’t care who’s playing the role.
As a person with cerebral palsy this is the first time I've seen the new accessible emoji and i like it yet the reason for banning it for public use is just plain confusing indeed. On a side note I don't use Twitter as well since it doesn't really interest me.
Wait a minute, wasn't the killer clown thing just a separate thing from "It"? Cause, from what I remember, that was only speculation AND horrible timing
My reaction when I found out about the pistol emoji swap: "Huh, that's weird." And I moved on. A lot of stuff I see that I don't like my typical reaction is "That's stupid" and I move on.
Be careful, Strider. The pug emoji (as an emoji, I think you're safe to show a real pug) is being banned for "Taking people's minds away from controversial issues, and thus closing down debate". I frankly despair, sometimes.....
No offense, Strider, but I never understood this argument of "Only people of [insert group] should play people of that group in movies." I'm visually impaired and don't need Daredevil or Ray Charles to be played by actual blind people. I just want them to be done justice which Hollywood tends to be better at when they focus on acting talent instead of labels. Which is of course not to say that I don't appreciate actual disabled people getting work in Hollywood. I can totally see why filmmakers would want to cast their characters authentically. But that should be a creative decision, not an absolute must, because then I would wonder where the line is. Can only shortsighted, black-haired orphans play Harry Potter? Who would play characters with early childhood autism? I'm not sure there are many actors with this condition. And what about the opposite? Wouldn't that logic imply that people who are on the autism spectrum shouldn't get to play characters who aren't? When people can only ever play themselfs, I wonder what the purpose of acting still is. Personally it feels like society is currently hellbent on coming up with just different ways to reduce people on their labels instead of actually normalizing them, which is why I am not a fan of this line of thinking. (I'm not gonna go on Twitter crusades over this though.)
I’ll confess, my lack of understanding of the Google burger emoji backlash made it very hard to take seriously. …Maybe I should take culinary school like my brother has?
Also many Americans will be shocked to know that many ppl put cheese on the bottom of the bun .. then patty then salad and sauces ( if ya have lettuce tomatoes beetroot etc salad .. patty never touches lettuce most times.. lol I'm from nz and this is how a burgers made lol
You should be good. I'm no chef. Nor have I ever had culinary classes. But here's what I'm guessing. (I really wrote an essay for this stuff 💀.) I'd say that the amount/ type of ingredients that you use should dictate the placement of the cheese. Are you just using the bread, cheese, and meat? Well if that's the case, then just put the cheese where ever. Are you using lettuce, tomatoes, onions, condiments, and pickles? Then put the cheese on top of the pattie. If you place it on the bottom or in the middle of all of the other stuff, you might not be able to taste the cheese at all. Especially since condiments, onions, and pickles tend to either have a stronger/ sour flavor to them. Which can easily obscure the flavor of the cheese. Tomatoes and lettuce mainly keep those more flavorful ingredients separated from the cheese and pattie. Both of which. Add their own unique flavor to the burger as a whole. The pattie's salty and peppery flavor. The taste of the type of cheese that's being used. The hint of vinegar in the pickles. The sour flavor of the onion. The neutral watery/ leafy taste of the lettuce and tomatoes. Ect. They're all separated and placed in a way that allows their qualities to unite. No one ingredient over powers the others. And since the cheese being placed on the bottom. Runs the risk of not being able to taste it. I'm guessing that's what made people mad about Google's old burger emoji. But idrk.
Apple even initially only put them into iOS for the Japanese market. The only reason they're available internationally is because people overseas found them as a "cool hidden trick", and created demand for them.
Regarding the acceptability icon; it's hilariously sad that the us government is deciding what's best for people with disabilities, while actively ignoring the fact that a majority of people like the alternative
I just had and extremely bad experience on Facebook because people were doing over the top transfobic posts with hundreds of thousands likes. And the origin was a FRIGGIN PIZZA TOWER FACEBOOK GROUP!!!!
I'm in autistic person too I really love the new disability sign unlike the original the new one shows the disabled person in action and in control I totally agree with you they should be having autistic actors playing autistic characters actor without a disability to play the part
Apparently something Disney can't handle
Unless...
I do think they should cast autistic folks regardless, but I get that that's the least of the film's problems.
@@krimsonkatt
Autism aside, no need to be so cynical about cinema, there are lots and lots and lots of good films out there getting ignored or bashed because people just focuses on over the top "artistry" usually independent films that everyone knows about.
I think I remember certain platforms making it a ray gun back when the pistol was still in use. Now they're all water guns. :P
We live in a world of so much hedonism and passivity that a cartoon gun is offensive.

I guess that explains Momotaro.
There is a japanese children TV show which stars sittingwares as characters and they have peaches in the sky.

I heard of a similar story

And the reason there has to be 1 universally recognized symbol is because otherwise people could not maintain the alert (letting the paint wear away but so long as there's faint blue they are ok) or could frivolously sue because "it wasn't what I thought it meant."

Imagine someone trying to use the squirt gun to say they just need to get their cat off the furniture.

These include a knife, bow and arrow, a dagger, crossed swords and even a bomb. One of these was, however, altered slightly, and it was the dagger, which now has a light turquoise/teal blade and some magical sparkles around it.🔪🏹🗡⚔💣
Also, I could be wrong, but sometimes in "The Simpsons," white has been a separate skin color for some and Asian for others
Yeah, I also noticed that.

As a queer person I thank you for the last entry and showing your support to our community. I feel a lot of us forget that even if we are going through harshness in our current climate, we shouldn't forget those in even worse situations.
Coming from another queer person, you spit facts.
Aro/ace spectrum here, and I agree. :D
Never thought I would see a video like this but I am glad you made it keep up the great work and I am enjoying your content a lot this year especially your Pizza video back then
Surprised that the nerd emoji wasn’t on the list.
🤓
@@AJotasticGamer 🤡
Nerd emoji isn't that contraversal because it's only used for mild teasing, which doesn't meet the list. Honestly I don't care being called a "nerd." Because in this day and age, nerds literally rule the world and are the most powerful and successful. Knowledge is power after all. The nerd who got relentlessly bullied in middle school is now the CEO of a successful company and a multi-billionaire while the bully is either a fast food employee or in prison.
@@krimsonkatt watch norific’s video on the nerd emoji. It will give you the reason on why I put this comment here.
I personally hate the nerd emoji. When people use it towards me, I feel that it offends my intelligence.
Some of these banned emojis is ridiculous!!
I wonder if Instagram actually banned the peach in that case.
I think it’s safe to say the ban is either repealed for not enforced anymore.
@Paul Nash that explains why it's not as big a deal as the eggplant
Thank you so much for answering my question! I've started walking regularly this week and it's actually really reducing my stress and depression. It's great to have an actual UA-camr that's helping me feel positive and give me some genuine laughter through non-vulgar and especially non-toxic humour. Oops I rambled a bit.
(Oh and thanks for saying my username correctly! My partner still says Em-kay two).
The laugh you did while juggling was...my favorite thing I heard today.

Honestly somehow I wasn't even suprised about #1. Also on a sidenote I'm a Christian but I will NEVER bully anyone who is gay because I may not know what they may be going through.🐻
Neither will I. I have a few friends apart of the LGBTQ+ community and apparently I'm technically apart of it for being asexual.
Hey just wondering could you do another top 10 lists about TV shows or movies if that's okay with you
I will just say this, You can feel how you want to feel as long as you are not hurting anyone else!
I have been watching you for about 6 years. I love all of your videos strider.

The world really has changed if a simple icon can cause an entire contervsery
See also the Great Schism of 1054 which was literally about icons.
Thank you for another amazing video strider! You bring so much positivity in such dark times
Thanks for being such a positive and just curteous and nice person.
I love all of your videos and how not only well researched and interesting they are.....but how they feel so genuine and from the heart.
And a while ago I asked if you could Waterfall......but seeing your juggling skills in this vid....haha just betting you can......Love you man. I wish you well. Wish I was as good at juggling as you are.
Honestly I think none of these should be removed. They are just emojis. Plus the peach and eggplants are normal objects, just used wrong in typing.

I wouldn't be shocked if lgbt emojis get banned in the southern US given the kind of laws they're passing down there
I’ll confess, my lack of understanding of the Google burger emoji backlash made it very hard to take seriously.
(I really wrote an essay for this stuff 💀.)
I'd say that the amount/ type of ingredients that you use should dictate the placement of the cheese.
But idrk.
Hey, have you made a video on the top 10 most controversial video games before?
And the number one controversial emoji is…The Emoji Movie
The movie isn't an emoji the most controversial would be every emoji in the movie!
Should be.
Emojis are controversial for the movie alone
I don’t use Emojis anymore. I find that they have definitely died out. I never knew that they were made in Japanese
This shows that people can get mad at the simplest things.
I guarantee the eggplant emoji is on here.
Edit: I was right.
This video about emojis honestly reminds of how big bigotry (joke not intended) is currently on the internet and we need to do something about it
