Your channel is about to get a boost, I came here after Bianca renee’s video ❤️✨ P.S. finger coils are bae. Perfect curls all week long, warning ⚠️ ppl will stare lol
I love when curl friends try each other's routines. Yours turned out great. It was nice to see how you "fix" pieces that didn't work. Bianca's results from your routine turned out great, too (in my opinion).
Here from B’s channel and I must say this video was so fun to watch!!! I love how you described all the different little details and how everyone’s hair requires different things because no ones hair is the same💖
Also, Bianca uses much lesser product. She is lucky to have such good, healthy and moisturized hair. I love how thick your hair is, but this technique isn't cut out for you in my opinion. Doesn't look horrible, but after seeing you with perfectly defined hair, this seems a bit wild. Perhaps with a fine balance between the two routines, you can find something that fits your hair perfectly. Loving this collab😍
So I loved this collab, but it definitely reinforces that I’m not an “all or nothing” kind of gal for my curly hair routine. I like the best of both worlds with definition and volume, so I use a brush to quickly brush product through, sometimes I denman, but then I only finger coil my front pieces around my face! I get decent definition, where at least the front looks good for DAYS, but I still manage to keep some volume overall AND doesn’t take quite as much time as finger coiling all over!
I would be interested to see you use soaking wet styling squishing in water, layering products and using the denman brush. It may not work bc of your high porosity but I think it might. Just a thought ☺️🌸
🤔 very interesting! My hair is definitely more similar to Bianca’s and she’s been my curl guru for a few years now but I’m glad I found you too! I’m currently going through some curl rehab due to a product line that caused some serious breakage and straightening of my curls. Mostly at the nape of my neck and crown. I really think your method of finger curling is going to help train my curls during my rehab! I do LOVE my volume so I usually don’t mind the “frizz” but I’m definitely going to do a mixture of both routines for a while and see how things turn out. Wish me luck! 🤞🏽😊
OMG, I love your videos! I found you a few days ago from watching Bianca Renee's video and I have binge-watched almost every one of your videos. How have I not found you before now? You have such calming, soothing voice and your explanations of the steps you make are easy to understand and follow. I discovers my curls about a year ago - I call them my "Corona Curls!" Back in the mid 80's - mid 90's I paid to get my hair permed and low and behold, I actually have natural curls! I believe it's because as I've aged my hair texture has changed (thank you grays, which I also color and highlight). I've been watching curly hair videos for the past year (again, how did I not find you) and you are the first person that I've been able to follow and successfully finger coil my hair! I'm so excited with the results I got! Thank you! BTW, I love your little farm. I, too, live in WI and was excited to see a UA-camr who lives near me. I don't have chickens though, LOL! I found your blog and I'm now following you there as well. I look forward to watching your future videos.
I’m so glad Bianca did this challenge with you. I just came from her channel I’ve been watching her for the last 2yrs. I went from straightening my hair to be in my natural curly self. I learned a lot from her because I thought that my curls was the closest to her that I found on UA-cam. I have the same problem you have with that underneath my curls are really kinky & back of my hair is always frizzy. I don’t bleach my hair but I have really dry hair & my curls look more like your curls. I’m gonna have to try your regular routine, gonna have to check that out. I’m gonna have to start finger coiling the underneath part by the neck area. TFS🥰
Bianca brought me over. I love your curls. I love volume so when i finger coil its a bit flat for me but i def love perfect curls every once in a while. I am a brush girl because my hair is thick. I need every bit of help so that the product coats every strand. i brush then run my fingers through to separate my curls.
idk if u already know this u probably do but if u want maximum hydration in your curls when styling, do it on soaking wet hair but not dripping and the water will help with absorption and hydration
I love this video because it shows that you have to modify routines to fit your hair rather than thinking something is wrong with your hair. Also what do you think about oil in cream for low porosity hair?
yes! So important! and to know each routine is great for different hair types! Experimenting is key! I think it can be great for low porosity if your hair is also super thick! I used it when hair was brunette and low porosity years ago!
My hair is much thicker and denser than either yours or Bianca‘s but I’m just way too lazy to go and finger coil lol. I don’t even wanna know how long it would take me. But I also can’t do Bianca‘s two sections, scrunch, and be done with it. I usually do six sections, rake it through with leave in, sometimes I’ll do a cream, then gel which I do praying hands method and then I’m done. I have attempted to use a Denman brush but then my hair is way too curly and shrinks up more than I like. It doesn’t matter how healthy or unhealthy my hair is I’ve got some frizz all the time, so I’ve just learned to accept it. Now it could be that if I finger coiled I wouldn’t have frizz… But we are never going to find out 😂
Came over from Bianca’s channel, so glad I did. We pretty much have the same hair texture(s). I Have to let my hair air dry before using my Dyson. Mine needs to settle down. You have definitely given me hair goals😘.
Wow. Different hair, technics ect. is KEY!!! I saw Biancas too. I also have very dry, died hair and need to finger coil, too, for the best and longer look. P.S. Your curls and color looks WOW!! 👍👏👏 (when you do you)
Love the lioness look, really does look like a model You taught me how to finger coil though, and now I can’t do without it! Still might have to try this ❤️
Here from Bianca! Very pretty and Big! MUST have that moisture!!! I’d be doing the same as you and definitely adding more cream for more moisture. Fun switch it up collab
There are so many similarities im seeing between our hair types because if I were to not brush or comb the product through my hair my hair would be so frizzy and undefined as well. My hair is very high density I use a LOT of product like you do.
I am very new. Had my big chop in February I have one clump of hair in front of my left ear that will not curl at all. I realize I need more product and am going to try your finger coil method although my hair is only ear length at this time. Wish me luck. Loooooove your curls
it’s very interesting seeing the same technique on two different heads of hair! Very informative 😊On another note, I LOVE your nails! Are those press on, gel, acrylic? 💅🏾
Great video and explanation. Have you considered (or have you already) doing a video with each day’s hairstyle? Curious if you leave your hair down all week or have various styles.
I am soooo happy I got to see the difference between you and Bianca. I’m pretty sure I FINALLY found someone who probably has the same exact hair type and thickness and as me! I’ve been following Bianca for awhile now and kindve been doing her same routine hair for mine. But I always wonder why my hair comes out frizzy esp around the nape of my neck where I know it’s thicker and more damaged (from heat). I have thicccc Polynesian hair so it makes sense now why I’m getting all the frizz when all I want is definition. Definitely going to try finger coiling now! Thank you thank you thank you!!
I’m new to your channel, never been to your IG before; so I apologize if you’ve answered already. But are you growing out your natural hair color? I see a lot of new growth, but we’re also in a pandemic, so I thought it could just be you choosing not to get it done yet. ETA: My nape area is just like yours, I have 3B hair, but the nape is coarser. It didn’t used to be, but as I progressed in my journey to healthy hair (been natural my whole life just never cared for my hair), the nape would always be frizzy and tangly. I used to be able to use the denman brush to style all my hair to get beautiful clumps, but as my hair got healthier I noticed the texture is different there. So I may need to just finger coil it like you as well as making sure I add more moisture there.
Found your channel through Bianca and love your videos! 🔥 I have similar curl pattern and amount of frizz to you and was wondering if you have any tips for treating damaged hair at the back of your head? Like where you have a ponytail? My curls refuse to stay there and it just goes brrrrrrr as soon as it dries no matter how much product I use ☹️
How am i just finding this channel? Lol, love your personality, i so relate, on my channel i always talk about how my hair is thick and medium to high porosity so if i don’t focus on certain areas boy oh boy the frizz will haunt me lol
You do a fantastic job explaining the routine! I love your hair and that you’re a blonde too!!! I don’t care about frizz because being a blonde makes my dry hair worth it!!! 🤭
She uses alot of different cheaper products. She also uses the praying hand and then scrunches. You have to do this with wet hair (not damp). So the more you finger comb/detangle you are drying your hair. Spraying your hair as you go. You damaged your hair so water will help you distribute the product more evenly.
Great if you're in the US where you seem to be able to get Curlsmith products easily. Unfortunately Curlsmith's UK distribution leaves much to be desired. Supply problems may be genuine, but they strung me along for ages over an order that I never received. They just weren't honest or realistic about when it would be despatched. I did get a refund, but sadly, no products. If you're in the UK then I would not recommend ordering from them. It's not just me either, their Trustpilot reviews are terrible. It's a real shame as they are great products. If you can get them.

Same! It’s so interesting the see how routines vary and how different results the same routine can give!
Just came from Bianca's video. I love the video.
Yay! So glad to hear it! 🙌
This was so awesome to see! My hair is the same way, where it tangles easily because it’s high porosity. I need to try finger coiling all over 😍
