I struggled for many years, I knew that Jehovah was the true God and that the teachings that Jehovah's witnesses taught were from the Bible but I finally dedicated my life to Jehovah and have never been so happy knowing that the true God is my friend. It was once said that your heart doesn't have a door handle on the outside the door handle is on the inside. So we have to open our hearts. Jehovah is not looking for perfect people he's looking for those who love him!

I grew up in this religion and it took many years to break free from its deception. Humbly seek God for answers, pray, and fast for the truth. 1 Timothy 4:1 - "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." Beware of false prophets and another Jesus according to 2 Corinthians 11:4 (For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus). Many cults are obsessed with end time prophecies (false), Jesus is not the Arch Angel Michael / Abaddon / Apollyon, and there is a hell according to Matt 16:18, Mark 9:43, Luke 16:22-24, Revelation 14:9, 10, Proverbs 7:27. JWs are similar to Mormons, however, they target good natured people, uneducated, and who often have lower incomes.

I hope you wake up to the fallacy of this cult. I was molested by two JW's as a child. It's rampant in the cult. They lie to protect their abusers. You have to have two witnesses to your abuse or it never happened. They are making you pay their judgments for having protected their pedophiles. The greatest liars are the governing body. Get out of this cult. They destroyed my childhood and my ability to be a normal human and they'll destroy the rest if your life.

I have studied with the witnesses and they are truly Jehovah's servants. I noticed in the interview when Terrence said that Jehovah's Kingdom will crush all others that the lady doing the interview scoffed at what he said. That really hurt my heart. Although I am not a witness I agree with their teachings and they are doing God's work. They are hated and mocked and made fun of... but so was Jesus.
Jesus himself said for those trying to save their lives will lose it, but for those who lose their lives, for my sake, will find it.

My beloved sister I know that you are not one of Jehovah's servants but I view all people as brothers and sisters. It is my hope that you resume your study with the witnesses seeing all the things that are going on in the world just exactly as Jesus foretold meaning we are living at the very end of the last days. Please resume your studies. People don't realize that when we preach door to door it's because we really love people and we really love our god Jehovah. I remember a poem that a Bible teacher left behind and I never forgot it "a bell is not a bell until you ring it a song is not a song until you sing it love in your heart wasn't put there to stay love isn't Love till you give it away"and that's what we tried to do to show people love and to share a hope for a better future.

@@leotorres435 I thank you so much. And I thank Jehovah for lifting the veil from my eyes. I was raised to believe in a God who burned sinners forever and ever and as a child I was morbidly afraid of Our Heavenly Father. It was the wrong kind of fear. I remember Sunday school and the pictures we observed were of Jesus callously throwing people into a burning lake. Even as a child, I knew this had to be wrong. That teaching gives alot of people the wrong idea of who God is and who Jesus is.

I think this interview gave me just the push I was needing to start going back to the meetings! A lot of what Terrence was hemming and hawing about as to Why, given the level of obvious admiration he has for witnesses, why he isn't one himself, hit home with me. I was raised as a witness by my mother and had a father who didn't believe in literally anything, so he was a non-influence in spiritual matters. My mother took me and my brothers to ALL the meeting, book studies, out in service weekly, 5-day assemblies, she made us sit down and study the watchtower every week and underline all the answers and Read ALL the cited scriptures! (and there were LOTS of scriptures!) UGH! I HATED IT!!!... studying the watchtower and the books for the bookstudy took Longer than the actual meetings!!! There was no doubt that we were going to the meeting regardless of anything! I grew to DRED going to the meetings and the older I got, the more I didn't want to be there! and later, I stopped going all together for the last 20 years. BUUUUTTTT... because we went to all the meetings and everything "religiously", my knowledge of the Bible and how the theme of it is threaded from beginning to end; how everything ties together so logically and clearly, that it becomes easy to see how ridiculous unbiblical teachings like the trinity and the doctrine of the immortal soul just simply do not jive with the whole message of the Bible, is just amazing! So... fast forward 20 years of having pretty much no interaction with them, I find myself suddenly Starving for the truth, and Wanting to go back and be a part of that! In this world of "false news" and everybody is lying and everyone is fake, I just want to hear some TRUTH finally!!! How I Wish it didn't take me this long to appreciate with my heart a simple thing like Actual TRUTH!! LOL! I'm not disfellowshipped and have actually never been baptized so that's not a barrier, but, like Terrence, I know I have to let go of some of the vices I enjoy, like smoking and drinking to excess; and that is very daunting because it feels dishonest to reengage while still not whole-heartedly wanting to let go of those things, and if you are at all knowledgeable about God, then you tend to take things like being false to God VERY serious! I know of course, we don't have to be perfect to go back, and that BY going, it will ultimately steer me in the right direction on that kind of stuff, and that thought has really been motivating me... so, I will close my remarks by saying, this interview was great! :)

Our saviour tells us to partake they tell you not to. LIE They say the blood is sacred to god when it has left the body but not the blood that has left the body that's made into fractions and plasma . LIE They said that the generation of 1914 was the last generation , and that a generation was 70 to 80 years and Jesus would return . LIE . Then they came up with that ridiculous non biblical extended generation theory . LIE ..... Best life decision you could make ..... Really ? JW's may have some doctrine right other religions have wrong, but they have teachings which are contrary to the bible.. If you are a JW or want to become one i hope you will firmly investigate the teaching of 1914, the fundamental doctrine of the Watchtower Society. Just to give you one example of a wrong teaching, because Terrence mentions it here. The bible does not teach to go from house to house and every JW can check that in his own translation. Go to Acts 5:42 and read the footnote. It is explained the terminus κατ’ οἶκον means not only in the houses, but from house to house. Interestingly, in the same footnote, they give you another verse, which uses the same words, Acts 2:46: In which we can read : "And day after day they were in constant attendance in the temple with a united purpose, and they took their meals in *different homes* and shared their food with great rejoicing and sincerity of heart" Obviously they were not going from house to house to eat their meals, hey were eating in different private houses. But why are the translators translate the same words different? Because it fits their doctrine. It's the JW's Trademark and they can say: "we are the only ones who follow christ's command to go from house to house." There is another place where the same words are used. We find it in Acts 20:20 where we can read: "while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable* nor from teaching you publicly+ and from house to house" Interestingly the translator again, chose to translate κατ’ οἶκον "house to house" when in this instance does not even make sense. It is obvious that the writer of Acts makes a comparison between preaching in public and private places. Also he does not speak to unbelievers which he was preaching to, but to the elders of the congregation. You can make up your own mind , if JW's have the truth or not, i know they don't. But don't get me wrong! That does not mean that most JW's are very lovely people who only want to do the right thing, they are unfortunately mislead... like many other religious people out there.

@@mrsrimskie5493 Hi. It looks like you're pretty sure about it. Why? Are you a JW? If you are one, why don't you take the opportunity to explain it here and now instead of saying a witness can explain it to me?
If you're not one, why are you so sure about yourself? You first write that you can "imagine" it would be explained to me and later you say that you "guarantee it will be explained". Honestly, it seems you are the only one who's "mind is set" because you think JW's can't be wrong.

    • @exitbabel7954

@@mrsrimskie5493 Ok... so let me put the cards on the table.
I grew up as a JW, was a baptized member of this church and also served as a pioneer. So I know exactly what they teach and how they explain things, i have done it myself for over 30 years. Most witnesses are very loving, helpful people, as you have probably already noticed. I still agree with some of their biblical interpretations, but that doesn't change the fact that certain of their teachings are unbiblical. You may be convinced that you get all of your questions answered by the Bible, but upon closer inspection that is not true. You get a preconceived explanation from their literature, which is based on Bible passages that are taken out of context upon closer study. I can only encourage you not to turn off your brain and to carefully check everything they tell you.
As you yourself say, your knowledge of the Bible is not that great, so be aware that if you do not read the Bible yourself without their literature and ask God for help to understand his word, you easily become a victim of clever lies made up by a religion like the JW's.
I could now give you dozens of examples of where they are wrong, but that won't help at this point. Just remember, as long as you are not baptized you have no problems. But as soon as you connect with the WTS and have doubts about just one of their teachings, you run the risk of losing your entire social environment. If your family are JW's, if they follow the instructions of the "faithful and discreet slave", they will avoid you just like your new "friends" among the Witnesses. If you have any questions you are always welcome to ask. I'm not bitter, just very objective about the matter.

    • @exitbabel7954
      @exitbabel7954 6 місяців тому

      @@mrsrimskie5493 I forgot something else...
You say "it's an eye opener once you have had all the prophesies and such explained"
If you were to take a closer look at how often the Witnesses were wrong with their prophecies, you would probably reconsider this statement. There are countless examples, but I will mention here again the central dogma of them: 1914. The teachings around 1914 had to be corrected so often because what was "prophesied" simply never came to pass. Instead of admitting this error, people have been tinkering with this teaching for decades, because if 1914 is not true, then there is no "faithful, discreet slave" appointed by Jesus in 1919 and the whole WTS house of cards would collapse.

    • @exitbabel7954

@@mrsrimskie5493 You already sound like a witness... heavily indoctrinated. You repeat all their “slogans” that make them look good without really knowing the organization.
I don't think anyone disputes that the witnesses also do good. Even I, as an ex-witness, don't think everything is bad.
You have to know, I didn't leave the witnesses because of little things. It wasn't because I wanted to smoke or celebrate Christmas, just to stick with your examples. It is because central teachings of the Witnesses contradict the teachings of the Bible. These questions are effectively a matter of life and death; And no, I'm not talking about my current life (blood transfusions), but about my eternal life.
I find it very amusing that you think I can gain a better understanding by studying the Bible with the Witnesses. Maybe the paragraph you missed was the whole story about me growing up as a witness and therefore knowing exactly what was going on? Likewise, what makes you think that I have lost love for Jehovah? Almighty God has nothing and i mean absolutely nothing to do with the WTS. Just because people refer to God's name does not mean that they are recognized by God as his people. Matthew 15:8
I tell you again very clearly:
Jehovah's Witnesses are not evil people and some of their teachings that differ from mainstream Christianity are actually correct, the Trinity for example. But like other Christian religions, this one doesn't lead you to God but rather distances you from him. If you study the topic of 1914 intensively and understand everything that is connected to it, then you can perhaps begin to understand what I mean. Just to give you something to think about, here is ONE relevant point on the topic.
According to the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, only literally 144,000 people will go to heaven, with the remaining righteous people living on earth. But it wasn't always believed that way. At first it was thought that the end of the world would come in 1914 and that all witnesses living at that time would be raptured to God in heaven. As we all know, this did not happen and therefore the teaching had to be adjusted. Over time it became clear that many more people would join the Witnesses, and since it was taught that only 144,000 people would go to heaven, something had to be done with the rest. Since 1935 the number of 144,000 is said to have been full and that is why the earthly hope of the JW's is placed in the foreground. But here we come to a central point. The people who have earthly hope are not Christ's brothers. They are merely the friends of Christ's brothers AND Jesus Christ is not their mediator. You can read it yourself in the insight book under “mediator”. This is of course in stark contrast to the words in 1. Timothy 2.5,6.
They also do not take from the symbols as Christ commanded ALL His followers with a promise. Matthew 6:52-59
This is just ONE example and I could actually go on writing for hours about everything that is wrong with this particular teaching. Various ex-witnesses have written entire books about it. If you really want to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses then I recommend Raymond Franz's book "Crisis of Conscience" He was himself a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was never bitter but remained a devout Christian until his death, something I also hope to do.
Ok, that was a bit much but I hope you can free yourself a little from your obviously indoctrinated way of thinking when it comes to the subject of Jehovah's Witnesses. Read the book or find out more on the Internet about the other side of the Watchtower Society's facade, which seems so beautiful at first glance. If the JW's have the truth you have nothing to fear from the book or the information you get from me or other ex-JW's, because these can easily be exposed as lies. If you make such a serious decision to join this organization, please inform yourself first, and not just from the witnesses, who will never give you all the information. By the way, this is not only the case with the Witnesses, but with almost all religions. As a comparable example, the Mormons would be mentioned here...
Read your Bible and pray... Wish you much success on your journey.

@@mrsrimskie5493 You know i did not mean it as a compliment, indoctrination is a bad thing, not a good one. I also do believe the bible to be God's word, that's why i disagree with the Witnesses. I understand they make more sense than many other religions, BUT it's not about FEELING, its all about KNOWING. I KNOW they don't teach the truth from the bible, because i did my research.... years of research. If they make you feel good... go for it, but i would rather put in the research and know they might be nice and loving people, but do not teach the truth.
