Real JW without the CULT of it's not for reward then (and I'm not accusing you off anything here of course) but i think that you should keep it off of the web. keep it to your friends or family. be as far separate from the hypocrites that Jesus pointed out. they would do things in public to get people to see them. not saying that that's why you're doing it but it may come off as insincere to some. we serve Jehovah from the heart and for him, not fit anyone else !!

My neighbors are Jehovah’s Witnesses. I am gay and I live with my husband. When I became very sick they would come and bring us food. That was the most Christian thing I’ve seen a “Christian” do. When our friends start to complain about Christians I always tell them leave the Jehovah witness is out of this they practice what god taught.

I agree. People say it's a "cult". But can you leave a cult? No. You can decide if the religion isn't right for you and leave. And trust me they're not gonna try to hunt you down to kill you like a cult would.

We can speak to ppl outside the religion, just not those who may be a bad influence. The only case ur family can't talk to u if u get disfellowshipped which only happens of u do something REALLY bad.

In fact earlier this year, when my dad passed away they volunteered to help me with his funeral arrangements and even gave me a job.
And to top it all off I had only met them a few weeks prior. No strings attached 🙏🙏
update Feb 2020: im surprised this thread is still going 😳 lol. well i had some car problems recently. engine completely blew out. didnt know what to do....im a full time employee + full time student. I NEED a car.well guess who came to my rescue again...Jehovah witnesses... they helped me find an AMAZING deal on a car with barely any mileage + brand new engine. say what you want about the "EVIL" jehovah witnesses but they're good in my book.
for the record i still havent gone to a single meeting but i think i may attend their memorial this year 🙂

No string attached is not entirely true. it's a ploy for you to convert to make you feel that you are family and obligated to be one of them. it has been used for thousands of years by religious Institution to the point that it went out of control. be it deep religious doctrine like the Nazis or forced christian conversion by the Spanish conquistadors. you may say I'm going extreme with that type of reference.
But kindly show me one religious Society currently today or any point in history that are equal and fair? it took something like the French Revolution to have a little bit of equality by separating church and state. thing is you only have one life in this world. if you want to believe in such nonsense it is your choice but do not impose your belief upon others and especially in society as a whole. you would say my comments is ignorant but I can say to you that you should know better than anyone else because questioning the word of God that is written by man is blasphemy if you don't see the irony in that you're no different than the jihadist Muslims or any deeply religious sect for that matter.
SpeedWolf who hurt you ? Lol they didn’t make me feel obligated to do anything. In fact just a month ago they helped fixed my mom’s car and patched a hole in my roof FOR FREE. And still they haven’t asked me to do anything. The only thing they’ve ASKED is if I want a free home bible study. I kindly told them not right now and they said ok. That was BEFORE they patched the hole in my roof
Maybe you had a bad experience but the local Jehovah witnesses in Florida have been extremely empathetic to me and have nothing but my upmost respect 🙏

I don't like when religious people such as yourself think that you have morality. just because you might have good intentions doesn't mean your church that you represent does and everyone in it. how I can make you understand you are one of them. you cannot even question your faith because by doing so you be shunned by the church and excommunicated by everyone that you know that are a member of your church.
You only have one life in this world. you want to waste it on that. that is your choice. If you do something good just to be good is fine but if you're doing it because of God tell you to be a good person then you're doing something for your church to manipulate people to join your flock.
This have been done for thousands of years and the people who are being used for the manipulation don't even know that they're manipulated.
JWs aren't going door to door "looking for converts". The only objective is to discuss the Bible and help people (that want help) to better learn what is in the bible so that they can make informed decisions about their spirituality.

(Matthew 10:7, 11-13) After Jesus’ death, first-century Christians continued to spread their message both “publicly and from house to house.” (Acts 5:42; 20:20) We follow the example of those early Christians and find that the door-to-door ministry is a good way to reach people. But it is up to You to accept a bible study or not..you are not forced..it is voluntary.

People complain about them while the only time i met them was when i was rushing to get to take an exam in school and a girl stopped me and said "i see you are in hurry so here is something to brighten your day" and she gave me a brochure. Later i saw it was jehovas witnesses. I thought that was sweet of her

I respect Jehovah’s Witness even tho I don’t believe in everything they say. My mom is a Jehovah wittness and I remember when I was 10 she took me too a Kingdom Hall. The moment I walked in 3 people hugged me and a little girl said I was pretty. Really different from any other church I’ve been too. I go there once in a while.
I’m glad u had that experience 😊I also have had that feeling like everyone was judging me when I walked in other churches. But my first time walking into a Kingdom Hall I felt welcomed on my first day

Thank you for telling me your view on the situation it helps me see what I can look out for in my congregation for when I get older I can see the "wolf in a sheep's clothing" to say cause most JWs are kinda naive and if you come off kind and you look interested in the things we say we'll start to trust you and kinda look over your past until it's too late. So once again thank you and what you said will make me pay more attention to the people I preach too and so then they dont end up getting disfellowshipped and getting depressed cause it really hurts me to see good people get disfellowshipped.

Corrections, Prince did become and remained a JW till his death, the Wagons mother was a JW: the boys are not, Rocha is a JW, the Williams are not. They believe but are not members. Howard is not a JW. In order to be classified as a JW, you have to be baptized and actively practicing. The distinction is baptized not just a believer.
There are two famous female tennis players who also claim to be JWS and Michael Jackson claimed it. Yet, they all seem rather obsessed with their careers as opposed to telling others about the Good News of the Kingdom. So claims are very easy to make. It is living as a Christian that isn' t so easy. No, I don't mean attending meetings and preaching. I mean living and thinking like a Christian should at all times.
Also, what message are we sending to others when we appear more interested in fame and fortune than in spiritual matters? Are we serving as a stumbling block by encouraging the wrong attitude? If we are, then who is happy, God or Satan?

Terrence Howard has NEVER been a Jehovah's Witness. He said in an interview he went to school with a kid who was different. He found out he was a JW. He admired his classmate's behavior, etc... he said he would have considered converting, but his career is his main focus.
He witnessed to his family and they became witnesses. He said he isn't ready to do what is required. He said one of which is quit smoking. He is NOT a witness. But respects them.
I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I am very proud.

I just unlocked a memory from years ago where somebody rang our doorbell. Our mom answered and said that it had something to do with religion. I just now understood what it was.
This video is full of inaccuracies. Beginning with the opening lines: ". . . a division of Christianity who follow their own version of the Bible called the New World Translation." What does that mean? Catholics have a Catholic translation - is the same said of them? Are they a division who follow their own version of the Bible? The Williams sisters are not Jehovah's Witnesses and have never been. Yes, they have literature, at one time they studied, they use Jehovah's name, one doesn't celebrate birthdays. Does that mean they are Witnesses? No. As a matter of fact, one will tell you quite candidly that she is not . . . she is trying to become one but is actually not one. Even when she said "we're Jehovah's Witnesses," she means they try to practice the beliefs. But she has never been baptized as one. "No cohabiting until they were married?" They got married eleven weeks after their baby was born!
Beliefs do NOT vary among individuals. They do not go door to door in order to "get converts." Terrance Howard has never been one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He has never been baptized. Yes, he likes their beliefs and always wanted to become one. But, by his own admission, there were things he could not give up - including smoking. He began exploring witnesses in 2007? How does exploration make one a Witness?

I had to stop watching the video like 2 or 3 times because it was literally starting to physically make me sick due to the inaccuracies, but as an academic study I watched it all the way thru to see what the video had to say about who supposedly were Jehovah's Witnesses in the video because I was just interested as to who the video was going to "label" as a supposed Jehovah's Witness. As far as someone being a celebrity, and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the same time, that is nearly impossible. Actually, it is impossible. Only because Matthew 624, states, which Jesus said… You cannot serve for two masters. Either you would love one, and hate the other. So… How does that make any sense?

Jehovahs Witnesses have feelings too. Everyone's dissing our religion, but if we were to ever diss anyone else's (which we will not), some people would use that as another thing to hold against us.

i am unable to regularly go to congregations as i am a minor who cannot drive yet, (and because of covid) but whenever i go i can feel the love coming from everyone. we are trying to do nothing but be kind, being annoying is not our intention

Witnesses follow the word of eight "anointed" men in New York who claim that Jehovah directs them on how to operate his earthly organization. In other words: You follow the word of eight men who claim God speaks through them, and you trust that they're telling you the truth.
That's what Charlie Manson's followers believed about him, and what Jim Jones' followers gave their lives for.

I've read some of these comments and wow. Religion can be a beautiful thing if you are given the right Information. There are some who deny the truth even when it is the truth because it can be hard to bare. In a world FULL of hatefulness there are few good people, Yet Jehovah's organization managed to find millions of them. I've seen and heard most of these insults already "cult" ,"love bomb" etc. But it is my faith that helps me carry on. knowing that these people are not tarnishing our names, but bringing reproach on Jehovahs'. To any witnesses who may read this comment I pray you keep your faith just as strong!
I don't think that JWs are the only ones who found Michael Jackson's portrayal of resurrected people stomping around in decomposing bodies repugnant and contrary to Christian beliefs.

Those saying you can't be a Jehovah's Witness and a celebrity at the same time, your right. For example, when prince became a Jehovah's Witness (I'm not sure if he was baptized), he had multiple songs of his taken off the radio because the lyrics/video went against bible standards.

I am a music lover and I listen to a lot of artists from all walks of life "traditional music, classical music, rock, pop , electro, etc..." and when I compare Watchtower productions to that, it is obvious that the latter are often pale copies of what we can listen to "outside this religion". Apart from two or three pieces, the rest is of rather mediocre quality. So I imagine the sub-quality that Prince would have produced in this context...

What you people need to know is that; being a Jehovah's witnesses is not something you born with, and no one is raised to be a Jehovah's witnesses, you may just born and raised in a family of Jehovah's witnesses, but that doesn't make you one of Jehovah's witnesses, you only become one when you choose to be, and that symbolized by baptism, so a person can be coming to the kingdom hall, but if they are not baptized, THEY ARE NOT ONE OF US, they are just the people who are in agreement with the Bible teaching, and they are happy to be with us.
In addition to that, our doors are always open to every human, despite their way of life... So not everyone you see coming out of our kingdom halls is a witness, some are just the beautiful people who love peace like we do, and they are happy to be with us.
Chris could not the same be said of ANY other religion? This also ignores the fact that most people just join the religion their parents raise them in. It's a cultural transfer. JWs actually have a pretty poor retention rate in this regard, but that's another issue. So I guess I'm not 100% sure what your point is my friend.

Usually after the first few months a person will know if they want to do something or if they're interested or not. If you go out and try to sell candy to a person and they keep letting you talk about your product as if they are interested, then just to say " I don't want it" after you spend so much time and effort into presenting, of course it would be a bummer because of all the hard work you put In just to get nothing out.

Yea, although I never was a JW I know all about it as I’ve studied it and know people who were disfellowshipped. When I began watching this video I thought it was going to be about celebrities who WERE JW’s, but this video claims most still are, how this is impossible is beyond my comprehension as I’ve known JW’s who were disfellowed for playing video games and watching movies like Lord of the Rings. Celebrities like the Wayans brothers appear in movies with swearing and violence, and don’t even get me started on that female model. Even if she wasn’t being sexual in her photos, she’s still a model, displaying her beauty for money, which is a MASSIVE no fing way to the JW’s. Even the Williams sisters, the JW religion frowns upon being overly competitive in sports and Venus and Serena are the most competitive of all.
So yea, it’s either these people are living by different rules, or I just don’t even know. Maybe the “elders” in the LA/Hollywood area are much more laid back and lax than somewhere like West Virginia, I mean they would have to be.

I feel bad I let them and Jehovah down since I’m joining the army now, but I know I’m not ready and I feel like maybe I’m just not cut out to being a JW right now in my life.... I was always told I can’t eat at two tables at once and that’s very true... I recognize Jehovah and still know he is God no matter where I am.... I hope he can forgive me one day, but like I said, I’m not ready to be one of his faithful people right now....

The ideology always made sense to me. I just told my dad I don't want dedicate young and fail young, I was 18. I have a friend who was Jehovah witness and he was my only friend I felt in love with him but never felt so alone and heartbroken we were friends a long time and he block me. He knew my feelings for him and decided to be separated but broke my heart because he was my only friend and don't meet much people. I don't know if it was the email I send to his job but never forgave me

I remember in school a lil boy had to leave class all the time for certain activities and everytime he would cry. As children, we asked why does she make him cry? She explained it was his religious beliefs and had nothing to fi with her. My 💔 goes out to those children whom arent allowed to draw a pumpkin cuz its a sin 🙄
This doesn’t damage their life and I know this because I am a Jehovah witness in a Jehovah witness household it is a sin. A long time ago they used pumpkins and lit them up to try and summon demons from the under world and now they don’t look at the past of that and think it’s only for candy
Tacoman Gaming speak for yourself! I was a JW as a child and it absolutely damaged my childhood. I always felt like an outsider at school, couldn’t join in any holidays that I desolately wanted to, and is of that wasn’t bad enough, was an outsider with our own relatives. Seeing photos of their Christmas gatherings and bdays and knowing I didn’t get to join the fun with my cousins. And little things like being told Santa and the tooth fairy and Easter bunny, etc. are all fake to a young child? Being a JW is a childhood innocence killer.
@@dina81 Imagine being in a life threatening situation where blood isnt even an option as a kid having elders manipulating parents into agreeing that your life is worth sacrificing to follow their no blood teaching. They hold responsibility for so many kids not being here today
following the bible in abstaining from blood is a protection. before i returned to Jehovah i had a blood transfusion and found out that they dont screen for many diseases and viruses. Now im infected with a chronic virus that has made my life awful. If i would of refused a transfusion i would of been saved from that. Our medical system makes society think that transfusions are the only way to save or help others. This is mis information and its all about making $$$
@@tacomangaming2843 it is hard though when you aren't born into it and you have kids. I believe it 100% yet the thought of telling my kids there's no santa or tooth fairy- I just can't do it. Especially when you have family that you would have to cut off. My mum introduced me to it as a kid, she believes it but doesn't practice and even when I was trying hard to go to meetings I'd completed the study and should have been on to baptism she was sending birthday and Christmas stuff. I'm the worst now because I've turned my back on jehovah and that's worse than never knowing the truth 😔

As for Serena like a lot of 'stars' that grew up in the JW cult - they are all FRINGE JWs. She is a known Black lives matter and LGBTQ Advocate. Serena can also famously appeared in an expletive video with Beyonce in which she could be seen twerking and dancing provocatively. In Jan 2018 she called on a fellow Tennis star to apologise after he tweeted that a visit to a Gay club " Made his eyes bleed"
So in summary this list is a farce....They can claim it, they vocalize it, but their life choices are not a reflection of what the watchtower preaches. This is the JW 1%... They ride the fence when it is convenient for them. And yet, they are not held to the same stringent rules the rank and file are.I respect her for living life HER OWN WAY...but it makes things unfair. A lot of JW'S had talents they weren't permitted to follow, and had to forego all in the name of remaining humble AND putting 'Jehovah 1st'.

I would say that this is true but those talented brothers and sisters are still using their talents til this day. But instead of following success in the world instead they use their talents for Jehovah. People who are talented in music make that music in our organization. So none of our brothers and sisters talents go to waste just because they become Jehovah’s Witness 😊

I don't mean at all to be rude or disrespectful...but its the other religions that have taken out, added things in to the Bible. Other religions have changed the meaning of the Bible. They have taken out God's personal name, Jehovah!

As an actual JW, I can tell you right now that, although it's awesome that they hold our beliefs true and worth practicing, there's no chance that some of these people are actually preaching door-to-door. The way that we preach is through groups that are organized and stick together. That means that in order to be preaching door to door, it's necessary to be publicly seen in a Christian way by standards of the Bible. Wearing lavish clothes, marrying outside of the religion, etc. don't agree with that. Although it's awesome that those listed are believers or have a respect for the religion (which as a Witness is hard to come by nowadays), it's just not possible that they're fully part of the congregation. I hope that they can continue studying though and fully dedicate themselves to Jehovah one day :D

@mary reed People are free to join or LEAVE the Jehovah's Witness religion at any time, JW's don't get involved in war, they don't participate in the divide and conquer game of politics, they don't ask for money from members of there congregation, and they don't celebrate proven well documented pagan holidays like Christmas... I have amazing JW friends but I feel bad for them. Stupid cult
I had one Catholic fellow dedicate seven full months in persecuting me at the job because I was a JWs. He was the foreman and his shouting at me made me catch my finger in the kick press. Had to take two weeks off to recover. When I went back, I found him with his nose stuffed with cotton. He had shouted at this other new fellow while I was gone and the fellow had broken his nose.
❤️💛💚💜💙💝💕I truly believe that no matter what people say whether they are or not Jehovah’s Witness they do cherish that name Jehovah, and whether they decide now or later to become one they always know that he is the God of this earth and that he calls the shots sometimes people go through crazy things in life that sometimes get in the way of doing the right thing but it doesn’t mean that they don’t want to do the right thing it means that life overwhelms them and the overwhelming factors of life gets in the way and sometimes people feel that what they wanna to do may never happen but the one thing that will always be appreciative to Jehovah is that they recognize him as the true God and that he gives them the strength to make the dedication so that eventually they will come to recognize him in their 20s or may not dedicate to their 40 some recognize him in their 40s and may not dedicate to there 60 but as long as they give him his credit because he is the true God and he’s patient and he’s waiting for them to make the change but it doesn’t mean they never will make it as long as they believe in him anything is possible at any time people can change every day and only the God in Psalms 83:18 which is not only in the New World translation like people think, it’s also in the King James Version Bible that’s known throughout the whole land that recognizes God as Jehovah in Psalms 83:18 Jehovah doesn’t want nobody forcefully he says he loves a happy and cheerful giver so when they’re ready they’ll make their dedication and recognizing the name is usually the first opening Path to his road may Jehovah bless use all and may everybody see him as the true God because only in John 3:16 says for( he )remembers (he ) loved the world so much (he) gave his only begotten son so that we may have life so people change all the time it just Has to be right for them❤️💛💚💙💜💝💕
Many celebrities that are baptized dont follow the religion and are inactive. So ull see them doing things that witnesses dont do. Hope they get it together

The people mentioned here are not true Witnesses.True baptized Witnesses would never follow a worldly path like these individuals have.They are not practicing the faith so please,stop calling them witnesses.Just because they attended a few meetings or studied the bible does not make them witnesses.True witnesses do not pursue worldly careers or lifestyles but are busy preaching the good news door to door!
2 Peter 3:9 - Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Look this up in your own Bible. God is love.
