A week long video gets hard to condense in to a video without making it super long. There was a lot more I would’ve love to show but it wasn’t posible without making a 1 hour long video. If you guys are interested in this topic I can make one of just one day and show you guys exactly what I do like for example a Saturday and Sunday from waking up all the way to bed time as far as workout, food, diet and more. Let me know in the comments down below. I really enjoy making these 👇..
awesome to see that transformation bro. I wish I could get there (or back to that leanness). I actually raced for about 20 years - got to a Cat2. Back then I had a crazy appetite and just ate everything (good and bad) because I typically burned it off training and racing. Well, I stopped racing about 15 years ago, but my appetite did not change and I just kept eating. Obviously I ballooned up to 250+ and I just felt disappointed in myself. I am trying to get on the bike just to do some easy spins and break a sweat. But glad to see this video so I can have some direction on diet.
@@DennisGonzalez101 if I had not seen it in person I wouldn’t believe it. Doesn’t train but of course he’s been riding for 30yrs. Me @52 yrs it’s definitely shown me there’s still room for improvements
@@papis408 that is the key right there man. This is a sport that the longer you’re in it and the biggest your base is the more and more you will be able to build on top of that. I can definitely tell there is a lot more room for improvement for myself only been in the sport for around 2 years now.
Great video as always! I am assuming those are your maintenance colories! Now those are definitely small portions and as much as you need to be a cook portions are where people go wrong especially eating food that is not nutrients dense. So if you were needing to lose weight you would need to take out 300 to 600 calories from what you showed. So to be able to perform on tje bike timing melas is so important to fuel your ride and on the bike as well. One thing I noticed though that you seem to get through hard workouts with only 80g 1 bottle? How is that possible with your power especially now that high carbs of 100-120g an hour is almost the norm. I also do water, but I also bought GU brand flask on Amazon and I melt sugar in microwave for example 200g and half a cup water mixet really good and then finish cooking it in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. Let it cool down and them it becomes gel consistency...pour it in the flask and use it like a gel and save shit ton of money!! Now reason this is even better then sugar water is because then you can have 2 bottles of plain water and you just sip a bit water after ingesting sugar to wash it down. I hope this helps everyone for fueling on the ride and flask has turn knob so its reusable...just wash after getting home and make new gel. Also sugar is great 1 to 1 fructose to glucose and its essentially perfect formula CHEAP and super easy on stomach. I have trained my stomach to handle 120g an hour easy.
Thx. Those are all great point. Yes I will consider this maintenance calories I guess since im not trying to loose or gain weight right now. When I reference 80G that’s just for my 1.5H workout during the week because they are on the afternoon and I come in to them nice and carbed up so I don’t see the need to go crazy with carbs on the bike, on my longer workouts or races or very high intensity workouts I do a lot more carbs. I have 2 flask that I use but with maple syrup I haven’t tried melting the sugar might have to give it a shot thx for the suggestion I really appreciate it 🙏.

I lost 70lbs, from 235 to 165 just cycling and stopping with Cheetos, sodas, pizzas, and fucking Uber Eats. Also, a lot of fruit, tofu or white meat, cook your own food… In other words, I agree 100% with your video I did the same and it has changed my life, I am 43 years old and I am healthier than ever before.

You still eat too much fat. Avocado, ground beef, nuts, etc. You can shift your calories towards carbs and you will lose weight easier, produce more power and get better recovery. 80/10/10 (carbs, protein, fat) is a better approach I’d say.
I get that but I’m not trying to loose any more weight at staying at 160 and your body needs healthy fats just for bodily functions. I don’t eat ground beef everyday and that is lean grind beef not your cheap stuff with a ton of fat. As far as avocado and seeds/nuts that’s something your body needs and you should have fat included on your diet.
@@DennisGonzalez101 From the requirements perspective, you only need the essential fatty acids. Any other fatty acids will be produced by your liver such as the cholesterol that is the precursor to a cascade of hormones.
