Same here, Prime Day sales will make this possible. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I'm new to the game of video doorbells. Thanks again. 😊 9:52 9:54
I have 2 different blink devices an indoor cam and a doorbell. I got the cam synced but how do I add the doorbell to sync with it? Doesn’t seem to work..
Great video, very amateurish which is what I liked about it; nothing slick about it! I just wanted to know what the Sync 2 did and if, it was worth the extra cost. After watching this video I now know what to decide. Thanks!
If you take your phone with you when you leave the house, will the camera still record onto the sync? My phone has Internet but I don't have any other Internet in my house. So when I'm out there is no WiFi or anything like that.
i have a blink doorbell but i cant watch it live i can only watch it when i get a motion detection, do i need to buy one of these sync modules to watch it live all the time
I read somewhere that live view is supported only when you've the doorbell hooked up to the power (and not just the AA batteries). Have you tried wiring it up?
It is wired to my doorbell, but the video transmission and storage is still supplied by battery power. My batteries died a month or so ago, and that was what happened to it. No more connection to my network and no saved videos. By the way, it does give a warning when the batteries need replacing.
It did not work with the hdd that I tried, but it is plausible that it could work with others. I am using a 64gb thumb drive and it is now only at 14% of space used since I installed it.
@@TwoKeysStudio I suppose that is plenty because I only order packages occasionally I may want to record and never had any issues with crime in my area (at least not yet *knock on wood*)
@Max My 64GB drive has been on it for over a month and it only shows 2% used. We get 15-30 clips a day from cats outside and traffic on the street. If I delete them once a year, there will still be a lot of room left on the drive prior to deleting the files.
Great question. I uploaded a sample video taken at daytime (1:00PM) and nighttime (2:00AM) that is unaltered other than splicing them together. They were shot in standard (720p) mode. The neighborhood cat can be seen in the night video. ua-cam.com/video/d0nNvXnqL2o/v-deo.html
This so called module 2 is garbage!! it doesn’t work with my BLINK cam and iPhone, I’ve ordered four of these, and all of them failed. I had a technician hooked these up by phone and he still didn’t know what he was doing for a technician.. anyway don’t waste your money on these modules. It’s nothing but trash. BLINK needs to upgrade the module or recall this model for all its failures ASAP !
You've covered exactly what I needed to check before commiting to purchase! I really appreciate you making this video!!
Thank you for the positive comment and thanks for watching!

You're welcome, and thank you for the positive comment!
Really helpful video, saved me a huge headache!🙂
Glad it helped!

When you chose the internet, did you choose the BLINK-1VLM? Or did you use your home internet service? The Blink is unsecured
My home network.
@@TwoKeysStudiodoes it need internet to work or just for specific purposes?

Did you buy it? Working well? I want 4 cameras will the sync capture all those at same time? How close do the cameras have to be to the sync module?

When you ring the bell what did it ring on your phone ?? Are you have a chime ??
It rings the doorbell in my home, on my phone, on my wifes phone, and it can be set up to send a notification through Alexa.
my question is, the local storage recorded thumbnails, does it show a preview of it, as on this video it doesn't?
When viewed through the app, it does not show a thumbnail.

Yes, the module will allow you to watch it live.

Hey, question, Can I connect an External HDD on it ?

think i could make it work where someonr rings the doorbell it shows up on a phone and a tablet at same time? tablet in home phone while I'm away.
I have this box but suddenly it's stopped saving the clips how can I fix that please
Try unplugging it and plugging back in. If that doesn't work, try reformatting the thumb drive .
Great video, mate. Can we share the same login with different housemates?”
Yes, you can. My wife has the app on her phone too and can view the camera videos through the module.
Can I use a 4TB storage drive instead of a thumb drive?
The specs say USB flash drive up to 256GB.

@@TwoKeysStudio That’s pretty awesome 😎! How is the quality, good enough to see clearly? Day and night?

"just plug it in"
How big are the video files? Looking to get a drive setup for my setup
Mine is set on standard, and the files are 1MB.
what if my doorbell isnt working lol
It will magically fix it...or probably not.
Thanks for watching!

Interesting. Mine has worked exactly as it should with no issues.
No problem with my iPhone
