However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

Hi Sequoia! I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I know that must be frustrating. I would say first change your passwords: in the app, on the router, and your Amazon account too. If you have done all this, you may consider upgrading to a new router.

Ny daughter installed these blink cameras outside her apartment. It took the "newcomers" downstairs about 5 minutes to hack them and ride her wifi for free. The minute she disabled them, she heard the little kid from downstairs yell at her mom "hey mom, the internet just went down". She had the strong passwords, latest updates etc, it did no good. These cameras are EXTREMLY vulnerable to hacking.
I suppose if you have a very large property where your wifi signal is not accessible from the street or somebody would have to actually be on your property to acquire it, they may be OK, but they definitely need to make these cameras more secure.

Basic security procedure in my house, recommend once a week until you get used to your device then once every 28 days.

What can you do if your mini cam is already hacked?
I don’t have a subscription with blink and use a usb. Now I can’t get any clips. It says manifest stale, re-request.Can you help me?
Hi Sharon! You can can try the following:
Backup the USB on another device (like a computer). Reformat the USB drive. Then reinstalling it back into the sync module.

Hello I am new and a senior citizen lady not so savvy with tech world but have question. I have Xt2 blink cameras, and want to add another camera confused to why some blinks say subscriptions needed where mine only uses cloud. I do not like to pay subscriptions, so I ask you does Xt blink camera have subscription fee? Hard to find Xt2 good deal, but I see just Xt no number after letters. Will it work with my Xt2 with just cloud? I can just add it? ❓❓❓
Great question.
Blink XT, XT2, and Legacy Indoor cameras are covered by their 120 minute per Sync Module of cloud storage. So they don't require a subscription to record. So you should be able to add another older XT or XT2 camera with no subscription. However all newer cameras will require a subscription to record.

If your camera can’t pick up Wi-Fi, does it instantly become trash?
The cameras can't fully work without WiFi. They are pretty much useless without it.
There no doubt my camera got hack my problem is I'm trying to get it back on line my module keep blinking I tried changing my password and it not allowing me to do that. I went into my wifi setting I found BLINK-44ME to get me to connect it keep coming up I'm scared to connect because I never heard you mention anything about it. My camera is being control by my neighbor I call the police I can't explain how I can get proof PLEASE HELP!

I'm so sorry you're having this problem. Maybe I can help.
1. Let's start by making sure your WiFi router is up to date. You may need a new model. Check out this video to learn more:

2. Change the password on your WiFi router, Blink, and Amazon accounts. Make sure they are at least 10 - 16 characters long (just like I say in the video).
3. Let's use a paper clip or small pin to restart your sync module.
4. Then enter your new password into the sync module.
5. Place your new passwords in a secret location.
6. Connect the app and check to make sure everything works.

I change my password for Amazon and my Blink account it the router that doesn't allow me to change the password it says your password has been breach. My computer still working my devices are connecting expect my blink camera. I done everything you mention I'm trying to get the back working.

One of my tenants has been able to avoid me being able to see her comings and goings out of my driveway or into my doors at night. She is in and out late at night making me think that something nefarious is going on. Is there anything that I can do to stop her from being able to block my camera
Hi Gaye! Sure! The first thing that comes to mind is to install a second camera in a hidden location. Try installing it on a pole, tree, or in a bush that faces the entrance.

Hi Gudie! I'm so sorry to hear about your trouble. But... as long as you have access to the email address and password used to log into the account, you can use any phone to view your cameras.
