I watched the 1st min or so just to see where the filter and drain plug was hiding...should have watched further. That spring shot out and I got oil everywhere haha Thanks for the video!

I really have no idea why they use that system but belive me I hate it!

the drain plug on my kodiak is further back on the bike - you removed the trap and filter which rarely needs cleaning. It's also easy to check the rear and front end gear oil levels at this time.

if you look farther back drain that plug instead its a lot less messier

Apatzinguense66 si tira mucho hump pueden ser tus anilloa o las valvulas, hay que habrir el motor y revisarlos.

What oil do you use

I use either yamalube see 10w-40 or maxima but now days there are so many options of good quality out there.

how often do you replace the oil filter and oil?

The manufacture recommends to replace the oil and filter every 6 months.

@@davidflores911 I see you were using the K&N filter instead of the Yamaha OEM. I assume it is as good. which one did you use? I want to try them out. I like the wrench type they use. easy to remove

@@Sean-Aviation I've been using K and ends instead of the OEM filters for a long time and I have never had any issues with them I really like the little knob on top the 17 mmmm makes time really easy as for which one I don't remember on top of my head right now but you can go to K&M. Com and you easily find which one to use for your application
