I know sari-sari store was already explained by most of the commentors here but "sari sari" means "variety" in Filipino. Stores like these can be found everywhere in the Philippines. It's like a Filipino-styled convinience store but these are much smaller and commonly built at home. Pretty much a "home business"

  • @janicellanes5671

I think it depends here in the Philippines when it comes to trashes. You can't just leave trashes on streets. You can only leave trashes only to the places where there's a specific worker designated for cleaning the trash. But for example, it's a public market, you should put the trashes on the trash can. But it's a cinema or fastfood, you can leave it since someone will do the work.

The eyebrows and the lip pointing is 100 percent accurate.
Edit: Sari-sari means assorted or mixed. Basically, a sari-sari store is almost like an all in one shop in the Philippines for basic necessities like canned goods, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, cellphone load, etc.

It’s called FILIPINO TIME. I get frustrated with my friends too so I tell them to come one hour before the actual time so that we would all meet at the same time😆
Sometimes when I say, “I’m here where are you?” Friend would say, “I just woke up” or “I’m on my way” but it takes at least an hour
    i wanna cry. 😭

And they're already an hour late than the expected time 😂 so I've learned my lesson. And because I hate to wait just like I did before, 🙃that's why on a lot of occasions I purposely go to meeting places late more than them.hahaha ✌️

We can be punctual as Japan if we have serious appointments to go to but other than that, we leisurely take our time mainly because of our weather, it changes our mood all the time, idk it's just the way it is lol. Sari-sari store is like a convenience store but smaller in terms of area and the goods that are sold are limited but you can still buy basic commodities. Very common in the Philippines, you can easily find them in residential areas because when you ran out of cooking oil or coffee stick or soysauce, you can buy those in 5 mins if the neighborhood have sari-sari stores.

Yoshi, if this pandemic is completely over, please visit the country and enjoy the foods and experience good sightseeing. Sari-sari store is a small convenience store. One peso is equivalent to 2.26 yen. And yes most Filipinos are not punctual when meeting friends. So get used to it. Filipinos are good at gestures. I don't agree that Filipinos are generally late. I'm a Filipino and our parents taught us to be punctual. Also, the culture in our church embraces punctuality as well. Church service always starts on time. So I think it depends on the person's values. It has nothing to do with Filipino culture. 🙂

As a Filipino, I am ashamed of people who leave their trash in the theaters. Just because someone has a job of cleaning stuff, that doesn't mean we should make their job harder.

@@cjchannel1911 It's not about the collecting of garbage that's the problem. The problem is lazy people intentionally leaving their trash behind when there is literally a trash can right outside the theater door. People need to be more responsible with their trash.

@@cjchannel1911 Even if there is no trash can outside the door, people still need to be responsible with their trash. Pick up your trash, go find the nearest trash can, and throw it in there. Very simple & easy. Let the cleaners clean up whatever mess that remained in the theaters.

@@cjchannel1911 I'm not saying the job of a janitor is not important nor that it shouldn't exist. Having janitors & cleaners are still important.
I'm saying that we should at least help them even just a little bit by putting our trash in the trash cans like a responsible person, and then just let them clean up the rest of the remaining mess in the theaters. There's nothing wrong with helping a little.
And it's just simple common sense. If you have trash, put it in the trash can.
They're not going to lose their jobs just because a few people are responsible & sensible enough to know where to put their trash (which is the trash can and not the seats & floor).

"Filipino time" is a common colloquial phrase to describe the habit of being late. It's worst nowadays specially in big cities in the Philippines because of traffic. So when vacationing in the Philippines, try to slow down because there is really no point in rushing #LOL 😂

"Sari-sari store" is a store where you can find all your basic needs in small packs or by invidividual small pieces such as shampoo, toothpaste, bar soap, drinks, snacks, spices for cooking, thread for sewing, can goods or just anything basic; medicine for headaches etc. SARI-SARI is a tagalog word means mix mix. My country is truly cool, you can meet a lot of kind, helpful, very hospitable fellow Filipinos of mine but then a very bad practice in my country is the throwing of trash everywhere, undisciplined esp with regards to being on time for either business or personal functions and some con men/women.
