I can recall reading that in 1983, Lennox Lewis on his way to Canada from Jamaica, stopped at the Cus D amato boxing gym in the Catskills for 2 weeks, while Mike Tyson was there, so Lennox knew Mike. In 1984 Lennox was in the Olympics in Los Angeles Super Heavyweight Division, Lennox lost to Tyrell Biggs, who went on to win the Gold Medal. Now, Mike became the Professional Heavyweight Champion in 1986, and used to constantly challenge anyone to fight him in the ring. Lennox actually is the one that did not take on Mike Tyson. You can always see that kronk style in kronk fighters. They always throw a snapping jab followed by a sledgehammer right hand.
@@GuyFromTheSouth Hilmer Kenty used to fight the same way
Tommy Hearns as a heavyweight would have rivaled Ali and more. I don't believe Lewis was as dynamic as Hearns just my opinion. Would have loved to see Hearns as a heavyweight.
@@jayanthony5075 Absolutely. As great as Lennox was as a HW... Hearns was just a different level p4p, something truly unique in the history of boxing on the highest echelon posssible
Lewis discipline and self control in Kombination with His tecnic is the Main reason why He is for me one of the best of the best in boxing history
Lewis made a career like so many others on an jab with a right strait so simple but so affective!
Bein a swarmer with hooks uppercuts is too the fact of the matter is as good as morrision was and he was good he wasent of the calliber of a frazier, dempsey, marciano or tyson same deal with tua both were good but they were lacking in certin departments.
Klit for one

@@gdfggggg oh lol 😂😂😂😂 👍
Lewis had one of the meanest crosses in boxing. I love watching him throw it.
Tommy foi um grande lutador. Já o Lewis é um dos maiores da história.
😂😂😂
@@terryhannah1319 what's so funny ? U probably won't reply cuz ur gonna look back at ur comment and relise how cringe u were
Loved Tommy one of my favorites..but Lennox just outclassed Tommy.. Tommy you're one of my favorites..RIP Tommy you'll be sadly missed..
Mr Mills Lane ....iconic... I always picture Mills Lane when I think about boxing
A fantastic, rather intriguing demeanor, belongs to my genial, yet powerful and gifted,Lewis Lennox. Joke with Lewis at your peril!
Both are legends
Lennox 'dismantler of the legends' Lewis.
Dam Tommy was a great boxer too bad he's gone RIP
He had hiv in this fight, put up a good performance for a guy with aids
Tiny little ref among those huge two monsters!
Terima kasih Tommy atas dedikasimu di dunia tinju...
Semoga Allah Swt memberimu tempat terbaik...
Those were, The days hey Lenox ,, we had the best times then
Good old days , wouldnt have a clue whos heavy weight champion these days .
The automatic word generator really makes my day heck it is funny!
I guess the 90 are the second best ERA in boxing history.
GEORGE FOREMAN: ❤❤❤❤❤❤
A fight I missed! I was 17 this year. Whatever happened to Mills Lane? He so memorable.
He died
I missed this one too lol, I didn't even know they fought lol
@@brisharrell2610 he didn’t die he’s still alive
Mills Lane died
Lennox Lewis a really great fighter!
What Tommy Morrison might have been if he had left the partying alone but still a great boxer
Tommy gun legend! No matter what ! No matter how! Thanks to be here😪 mrs champion
Great commentary
Lennox became a complete fighter at this time. None of the heavyweights and I love Diontay, could touch him.
Kendrick historian poet
I always respected Lewis skills and talents, but Wilder would take him in deep water fast. Lewis also had stamina faults and he didn't have one punch know out power. What rocman done to him, Wilder throws with precision all night long and with far greater force.
Tommy put up a good fight that's for sure!
Tommy Morrison’s cut man, that’s not a job you really want.
Dark... and hilarious
james roberts that was really funny 😂
james roberts really nigga 😂
Absolutely Love Judge Mills Lane!!!!! Such a class act!!!! R.I.P my friend!!!
Best boxing referee EVER!
Lewis looked really good in this fight....
Morrison made him look to good, Morrison would've been better off just throwing everything he had at Lewis in the first few rounds .. It probably wouldn't have worked anyway but with his punching power he would have stood at least a 20 percent chance of knocking Lewis out..
Lewis 1 of the best boxers he from England no one cared
I like both fighters don't care who wins
Lennox Lewis what a Legend
Tommy was not ready for this level.
Gotta love Mills Lane. Best ref ever.
Numero Uno you spelled Richard Steele wrong
Country Boi
The list can go on. Steve Smogner, Tony Weaks and Kenny Bayless. Just to list a few more. However, I always felt MILLS LANE was the best.
Regardless of your thoughts on Morrison the dude could fight and didn't duck anyone tough as nails and fought with respect he just walk into someone bigger and better in Lennox
Could Lennox look anymore relaxed
Big up Roy Jones he feels it and he knows it better than any of those commentators who are just there to feed off his energy ya dig
RIP Morrison. Both fighters never ducked anybody in their careers unlike Tyson or Bowe who were afraid of Lewis and avoided fighting him at the time.
Biggs was chosen over Mike for the Olympics. Mike T when he was World Champ was not afraid of anyone, in fact no one wanted to challenge Mike, including Lennox.
@@brendonnz1964 Lennox Lewis became Olympic gold medalist in 1988 after defeating Bowie in final and after becoming professional he challenged all top boxers from Bowie to Tyson who paid him 4 million dollars in 1996 to avoid fight. Not once did Lewis refused any challeng in his professional career.
Lewis and Tyson sparred when they were young.
Tyson was afraid of Foreman and his fights were carefully picked. Most fighters' were. That's why Ali is the greatest, because he fought everyone, often 2-3 times.@@brendonnz1964
with respect for tommy it is obvious that Lewis is very technical boxer....
Big T in his prime would smash LL this man was battling a deadly disease and still in the ring!!! RIP Tommy " Guns" Morrison!!! RiP MILLS LANE
Nickname was the Duke, not Guns
@@atodamadre3197 Tommy " Guns" Morrison was his nickname when fighting tough man contests as a teenager went to Duke as a professional boxer!
I'm just a casual... but I really gotta hand it to Tommy Morrison.. he throws beautiful punches. Superb athlete..ferocious power, fast and graceful.
Hope he's ranked as one of the legendary greats like Ali, Tyson, Duran, Frazier, Louis, Dempsey, etc...
It's absolutely crazy that this guys fighting in the ring with full blown HIV. And he new it.
Hard to fathom
If he did hes kinda bitch for maybe infecting others.
I realy love Lenox Lewis .go ahed .God bless you.thank you.
