Flowers of all kinds inspired my knitting.
The buzzing of bees and the sweetness of their honey makes me want to just sit down on my sofa and knit.
I live in Texas and love both the sunrises and sunsets in the western part of the state. Absolutely stunning.
I think you can find so much inspiration in nature. I guess it is a toss up for me between the many colors of the sky and flowers.
I love to sit and knit on my deck surrounded by trees and just listen to the birds talking to each other. So peaceful. ❤
There’s nothing better than sitting on my front porch watching the sun come up with yarn and knitting needles in my hands!
I love flowers... especially roses and peonies.
Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful blanket. I look to nature for colour inspiration, it always works lovely together.
I love the oceans. Something about flowing in to land. Relaxing
The pattern is beautiful and the yarn colors themselves are inspiring! What I find that motivates/inspires is peacefully sitting in my back yard looking at the flowers and watching birds. Your videos are inspiring as well, I always look forward to you on Fridays! Than you for sharing you time, thought and patterns.
Thanks for sharing 💕
Gasp-worthy! I love that description. The blanket reminds me of fall-my favorite season in Northern Indiana. I'm an early bird, rarely miss a sunrise. Each sunrise is unique filled with colors changing every few seconds and those nurture me. Even though I'm not a seasoned knitter yet, I enjoy cables. Thank you Chandi for your great teaching and generosity. Continues blessings!
What a stunning pattern. I adore autumnal colours, or waterscapes. It always brings me such peace and joy to work in those colours.
Hi Chandi, I love to sit in my uncle's backyard and listen to his bees buzzing and flying around!
Beautiful blanket! I think I especially love hand-dyed yarns that are inspired by colours in nature, especially blues and greys as in an ocean view, or greens and warm browns as in a luscious spring or summer forest… in patterns I love those that have corresponding wavy or leaf shapes incorporated ❤️
My biggest inspiration from nature is snow/frost. I adore icy hues that remind me of winter ❄️
Beautiful, I'm inspired by the morning sitting an drinking a cup of tea and watch the sun come up and the birds chirping away thank you have a blessed day.
I love the rusted hues kit and working with luster sport is a dream.
I love Janice’s patterns and truly love the inspiration behind the cables.
Cables and other textured knitting is so fun to do!
My favorite inspiration from nature about knitting is all the colors. Especially of a vibrant rainbow or my favorite: the color of the clear sky around a full moon in the early morning hours.
The search for that perfect color is my goal…you can’t capture it on film and do it justice.
But a terrific sunset or rainbow and earthy color combinations make such astounding works of art when knitted or crocheted.
CABLES 😍😍! I absolutely love knitting cables! This blanket is stunning! Thank you! The ocean is my inspiration. She can appear so calm, but she is always so powerful.
I find the peacefullness found in nature should be incorporated more into our lives. This blanket definitely brings forth that peacefullness and beauty
I am inspired by the start and end of the day, sunrise and sunset. The colors are magnificent no matter where you are.
Love sitting on my porch swing and knit listening to the birds❤
I love the feel of the morning sunrise when I wake up where I am camping. And the yarns remind me of waking, stretching and rising up from my bed!
My inspiration comes from sitting outside listening to the birds and watching the deer grazing in the field by my house during sunset. So peaceful and pretty.
Those rusted hues are just gorgeous! I had them in my cart; and, then had to delete some things because my money didn't match my lust for your yarns; and rusted hues was one of them I let go. Now I HAVE to put them back in my cart! I am inspired by nature's colors, shapes and designs, flowers, birds, butterflies, kitties, bunnies, etc. Good luck to all who enter your giveaway. Thank you for sharing all that you share, Chandi! We all LOVE you, and Expression Fiber Arts!
❤ Janica’s patterns! I’m a suburban girl, so not a big nature person. Sitting on my back porch and dreaming of a future garden is my nature. I can’t wait to plant some cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. And I will have some beautiful roses in front in memory of my grandmother’s rose garden.
Incredible pattern; simply stunning, and my favorite colors. Watching this video on my porch, watching a mother meadowlark feed her 3 babies, who just left the nest. That's inspiration.
I enjoy the colors of nature. I relish the subtle differences in the greens and the vibrant colors of flowers.
Sky and water are where I am drawn to make my crafts. Thank you.
I am always inspired by water. It doesn’t matter if it is an ocean, lake or river. Have a beautiful day Chandi.
I love anything nature offers its all inspiring! From the birds Darting about in the trees and singing their hearts out to the freshest greens of new growth in spring, or the soft quiet of snow to the beautiful golden tones of autumn I love and appreciate it all!
I live in the Northwest Territories beside the mighty MacKenzie River. Every spring - usually around Mother’s Day, the river ‘breaks’ which means the ice breaks and starts to move. To see pieces of ice ten feet thick being shoved up over other pieces always brings a sense of awe. The colours, so unexpected, are so vibrant! We have crisp white, vibrant aqua the same colour as the Caribbean Sea, dark teals, light blues, purples, and greens, and often a greyish layer that picked up dirt from the shallower areas. The colours of these enormous hunks of ice run the gamut from soft to saturated colours and would make an exquisite colourway for a project in the future.
Hi Chandi 😊 I absolutely ❤️ LOVE the colors in the rusted hues pack. I had the incredible privilege to visit the Grand Canyon south side. What phenomenal views of the beauty of nature evolving ❣️❣️ It is such a coincidence that today was my weekly visit with my infusion RN. He comes every week to infuse me with meds for my terminal illness.
He saw an afghan I made and practically begged me to make one for his family’s living room. The colors he wanted was exactly the rusted hues yarn pack! When he left I browsed through my UA-cam notices, and BOOM 💥 there you are.
I would love to win this yarn pack. I wish I could just buy it and start crocheting. I want to be able to finish his blanket before I am too ill. But I live on limited budget.
Thanks for all you do for our yarny community. BagODay shouts your praises, and she is right … you are freaking awesome. 🥰 Love you ❣️
LeeAnne
Love love the shift of colors in this shawl/blanket! Such a fancy piece! Love all the colors in it. Cable knitting is such a fan and classic style that I won’t get tired of.
Rain and snow would inspire me to cozy up inside, have my tea and knit.
Thank you for this video again.
Anything in the woods inspires me. Hiking is a favorite pastime, and the woods are so peaceful. Another beautiful pattern in gorgeous colors!
I like seeing all the flowers in the garden, the sunset and the ocean. The blanket is gorgeous.
my inspiration in nature are the bright colors of the flowers. I just LOVE flowers
Whether it's the view out my back door, or along a county road, nature's display of differing colors, textures, and sizes, among the sun and shade, is always inspiring and uplifting!
I love nature in all her beautiful colors, sounds, and smells, but it's people that inspire me. Making them happy makes me happy 😁 And yeah I know that wasn't the question, but it's the only answer I have lol
I love the many shades of the sky, from deep blues to golden oranges and pinks, and how the sunlight and clouds interact, especially at sunset!
Colors in nature inspire my color choices, you can never go wrong
Everything in nature inspires me! Especially the colorful seasons of Spring, Summer, and Fall! Right now I’m enjoying all the beautiful colors in my flower garden, the birds at the bird feeder, and the occasional butterflies that love my zinnias~
i get inspired by the sounds of the ocean waves, the beautiful blues, greys, whites, greens.
What inspires me are birds. I love their songs and colors!
Stunning. I love listening to the bird song in the mornings with a nice cup of tea. Makes me feel so tranquil and creative. Those colours sound like a dream, my sort of palette. Good luck to all. Have a lovely day one and all ❤❤
The colors in nature whether the sky, flowers, animals or landscapes are what inspire my choices of yarn colors.
I'm in LOVE with this pattern!! The colors, the cables... absolutely beautiful!!!! So much of nature inspires me to create. The soft breeze, sunlight, birds chirping and playfully diving above water and through trees... ☺ My heart yearns for peaceful, calm environments and that always leads me to nature ❤
Such a great design! I love watching the birds and other wildlife in my neighborhood along with flowers and the bright green of the holly berry bush off our porch. From skinks to dragonflies, cardinals, bluebirds, blue jays and even turkey vultures, I'm always trying to take pics of them along with the ever elusive and occasional rainbow after a storm. Thanks, Chandi and Janica!
I'm always inspired by movement in nature, rustling grass or waves on a lake, insects, I think it's just so beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous pattern! Those cables make it so elegant. Nature is an endless bounty of inspiration, from the shapes made by tree branches to a violent lightning storm.
Watching the seasons change and all the colors with them is so inspiring.... 😊
I don't know how to knit, but I love to crochet. I have always thought that knit is so beautiful and would love to learn how to knit , so I could make different projects with both crochet and knit.
I'm sure you can learn it 💙
Nature is always an inspiration for everything, especially painting. I love watching hummingbirds. They amaze me!
Thanks for sharing 💙
I love watching the how the flowers change each day, especially love flowers that are purple/pink
I love flowers! Been making forever flowers lately, but in general I just love the vivid colors of the sky. 🧡
I've been obsessed with the things in nature- a sunset, a flower, leaves... This blanket and color palette are just as inspiring! Thank you, Chandi! ❤ -Amy Reagan😊

I grew up on one of the Great Lakes in the USA, lived on a smaller lake surrounded by mountains near the Hudson River and loved vacationing by the ocean in the north east US. The ever changing flow of bodies of water has long inspired all of my art and crafting, including knitting. With water, each moment is different from the next, and life is also ever changing. Water teaches us that when there are obstacles in the way, there is a way to move past. And it is when we try to contain or stop water from movement, it becomes stagnant. So too with life.
The colours of nature inspire me. I love blues and teals because they remind me of the ocean.
Wildflowers and rain inspire me to knit. Very serene.
Trees inspire me…the beauty of the labyrinth of branches and leaves that bring them into full glory. They bring life to earth with glorious oxygen. While some bring fruit, some bring beautiful blooms, but most provide shelter to all life. As seasons change, they truly show their magnificent beauty whether it’s Spring buds of new life or the triumphant beauty of Fall, just amazing. I revel in their presence and beauty. ♥️
I find a lot of inspiration in flowers. Nature is the best place to look when trying to put colors together.
I love all the gorgeous colours that nature has to offer, especially the fall inspired ones that show so beautifully as the leaves start to change.
I love the greens and browns and bronzes of the forest in spring and fall. Spring and Fall always seem to me to be the deep breath between the extremes.
Gorgeous! 😍
I love to watch the butterflies fluttering around beautiful flowers while knitting…🦋🩵
Thank you Chandi…🥰
I thrive on the early fall colors. The hues of the changing foliage warms my visual heart.
Oh my goodness! This is stunning! I love the colors, love the texture, love the inspiration! I love the look of leaves and flowers incorporated into knitting - so lacy, soft, delicate, and natural 🩷💕
I've often thought this, but Janica Carter's designs are truly incredible. I love this one too, so much. Instant download, and the colors are STUNNING. Such amazing choices.
What in nature inspires knitting? I'd say hiking for me. I've been depressed for a while (situational, not chemical), but when I'm hiking, I enter this meditative state where I stop thinking, and all I can do is admire the greenery and the path, while feeling my lungs and muscles pleasantly burn. That feeling is something I also get when knitting.
These colors are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! I am inspired by the colors of the sky during both sunset and sunrise.
Sunsets, sunrises, clouds before a storm, the leaves turning in autumn. Nature is inspiration for life 💙
the images of sunsets and desert views this blanket creates in my brain are true nourishment for my soul. thank you for sharing
I'm a very beginner knitter but crochet & do other crafts tons. I usually take inspiration from landscapes & everything living in it. There's so much beauty in this world & universe.
I love anything with color to inspire me while I knit and crochet. I grew up with parents who took me fishing in the early morning, and we have lots of pictures of water and sky that are gorgeous.
I am usually inspired by my garden. The colors of the amazing flowers and greenery. Thank you for sharing, Chandi!
Observing the harmony of colors and shapes in nature as I walk along paths by the St. Lawrence Seaway inspires my knitting
I find inspiration in the fall colors and the stunning sunsets and clear blue skies. Everything in nature can make gorgeous colorways!!!😊
The view from my front door always inspires me, the open fields, the various colours of green that cover the land. I love the sunset with the orange hue blending in is outstanding. I couldn't ask for better inspiration.
I love the escarpment just outside my window. It gives me a relaxing view to inspire me while I enjoy my knitting.
beautiful yarn and pattern! tysm for sharing new, free patterns every friday, makes my weekend go by so fast!
the urban nature around here inspires me and brings a smile on my face often - squirrels stealing tiny green apples from our young apple tree and squirreling them away in the eaves right in front of my window, the crows cawing whenever a particular stray cat passes by and the cat “maaooowww”ing in response! the various tiny colorful birds that visit our little tree, etc.
Beautiful blanket! I love sunsets and the smell of freshly mowed grass!
This morning I'm in Maine looking at the blue sky, the tall green pine trees, the shimmering water on the river and the white sails of the boats, I'm inspired by the incredible variety of colors and textures. I love how your designer has incorporated nature into that gorgeous blanket. Would love to knit it (even with all those cables...😊)
What a beautiful blanket. The cable pattern and the colour transitions are just gorgeous together.
I am making myself a crochet cardigan in Autumnal colours. My first adult garment I have crocheted. I'm loving the process and can not wait to wear it!.
I love nature at all times of the year. From the vibrant summer flowers to the jewel tones of autumn, the bright cold frosty day of winter to the awakening pastel colours of spring.
We are so lucky being surrounded by so much life and love.
Have a fabulous weekend. xxJane 🌼
So many things in nature inspire me green grass trees with lots of leaves, blue sky hummingbirds robins, Blue Jays all kinds of birds and even squirrels are cute to watch Lakes and oceans and I guess I could go on and on 😂. Rusted Hues yarn kit is lovely and the table lamp blanket is gorgeous! 🥰
Sunsets, particularly after it storms, are some of the most beautiful colorful combinations. Green mountain ranges are also some of my favorite inspirations. Beautiful pattern! I am a sucker for cables
Rainstorms, a soft gentle rain that just makes everything glisten with raindrops, watching butterflies flitting all over the place and freshly cut grass because those rain storms just encouraged a growth spurt.
The fall season, is what inspires me for knitting and selecting yarn.
I find the most inspiration when I see the flowers, ocean and mountains. Interestingly enough, each of these three things inspire something different! I love the colors in this blanket and hope one day to be a good enough knitter to accomplish this pattern!
I live in the snowbelt and the view of the soft blanketed snow gives me a cozy feeling which compells me to crochet and now knit
Those colours, that design, absolutely stunning ! I love land colours more than sea or sky. Forests and fields, gardens landscaped and wild, hills and mountains, all seasons gives so many colour combinations.
Oh my gosh that blanket took my breath away. Just stunning
I love all the colors that I see at sunset. The blues to purples with a little pink and orange. 😊
what inspires me are all the flowers especially in spring time.
I love sitting in the garden watching the bees and the birds. Any Nature is wonderful
The colors that inspire me come from looking at a meadow of wildflowers.
Beautiful pattern. My inspiration comes from the sea. The colors change so often from a deep turbulent blue to a calm light green and many colors in between. It’s especially stunning when the sun is setting. I really love everything in nature but I find my peace at the ocean. Thanks for another lovely pattern.🌸🌺
Oh! those colors are stunning! Color, lots of color...My inspiration in nature is the butterfly (and the dragonfly).... so beautiful... so delicate...and yet they can show such strength and endurance by the long migration they must complete. And of course I just adore their striking colors... When trying to complete a large project it's helpful to reflect on the endurance of these little guys!💗🦋🦋
I think the golden hour and the way the sun lights up the forest in a beautiful way is a great inspiration for colors chosen in a yarn project.
When I saw this Tableland Blanket it reminded me of the stunning views in Sedona, AZ. I live in Arizona, so I am awe struck….just like I feel every time I go to Sedona. Thank you for this pattern and the high quality scrumptious yarn to go with it! Light and Love to you Chandi!
Stunning! My favorite is seeing Mt. Hood first thing in the morning with lovely clouds that hover at the base.
