nice detail muting Ayre and Walter, makes it seem more like its actually Rusty and not 621 who's piloting ORTUS

I don't know if I'm making spoilers but just for safety
You should be able to obtain Steel Haze Orthus Frame (the ALBA Set) when you defeat Rusty in the mission "Breach the Karman Line" for the first time. If the arms are missing try to check the shop and see if they're available to buy, if not I sadly don't know a way to recover them. Hope you obtain them!

Kinetic & explosive shell weapon builds dominate pve content while missile & energy weapon builds are trash against anything with more mobility than a low rank/early game AC's. Sure these weapons can deal with the slow bosses just fine, but against anything with real speed you can hang it up. Some energy weapons can keep up, but even the strongest of them lack the impact to break the ACS of anything but mook mobs on their own. I learned this the hard way in my 140 hour play time with the game getting all S ranks where it would have taken not even a third as long had I just stuck to kinetics & explosive shells builds. I feel so strongly about this and the piss poor story that leaves so many gaping plot holes that I left a negative review on steam after getting the S rank completion achievement.

Don't know about missiles but energy weapons have their place, you just have to build very deliberately around them. Quadruple bubble guns on the 150 energy weapon adjustment generator absolutely shreds all bosses.

@@tank19768 Ya but that's an extremely specific cheese build. That's the exception that backs up the rule.

Pretty sure energy weapons aren't meant to directly stagger boss targets, they're mostly meant for swift followups *after* you stagger.
Exception goes to the high fire-rate, low recoil energy weapons that seem to be for maintaining the stagger, since you can spam them non-stop.
(And pulse weapons for pulse shields)
As for missles, that's probably because of the AI and how they move and react to incoming attacks. Since people mostly treat missles as fire-&-forget, we usually miss the proper timing to take advantage of boss openings. Especially since different missles have different properties.

@@Laevatrien2 There are no "high fire-rate, low recoil energy weapons" outside of the bubble gun. The fastest firing energy pistol and rifle still shoot very slow compared to most kinetics, and they also overheat very quickly when you rapid fire. In fact, you're not supposed to rapid fire them because of this limitation. The one exception is the bubble rifle which is only for pulse shield counters which kinetic and explosive weapons can match anyway through sheer power.
You won't get the stagger with energy weapons on this boss or other hard content fights consistently to begin with, not unless you use mostly non-energy weapons anyway at which point you're no longer playing an energy weapon build. So claiming they are good for using after you're staggered the boss is a moot point.
And no, missiles don't reward good timing, latter-game/NG+/++ AC's and fast bosses effortlessly dodge them regardless of timing unless you back them into a corner at which point literally any other type of weapon build become more efficient at shooting a basically stationary target. The entire point of missiles is to help you hit moving targets, yet they fail miserably in this. In pvp they might be viable, but in pve the end-game AC's don't play by the same rules as the player, they can spam dodge endlessly regardless of your timing (especially AC's like Rusty and NG+/++ Iguazu), so even if they run out of energy it's after you've stagger-fired and missed every most of your missile loads. Bosses can literally just fly out of the fighting area and come back after your missiles have all eaten dirt.
I got the light beam missiles to hit pretty consistently at close range, but they also have piss poor impact which makes them useless as missiles since missiles have very low direct damage modifiers. The other issue with missiles is that the end-game variants which are somewhat useful are also very expensive to fire relative to cheap bazooka weapons. You can forget S ranking the difficult missions with them.
There were so many missions where I got A or B rank over and over because I stubbornly played missiles or energy weapons, then I would switch to kinetics or explosives and get S rank on literally the first attempt. The balance in this game is just awful.
