It’s crazy how truly cinematic the sopranos was and the colour correction really shows that in my opinions. Today every show looks like a movie, but I think the sopranos was truly the first cinematic tv show
I'd argue The Sopranos looks more like a movie than modern shows do. The lighting is so dynamic and rich in The Sopranos, more so than any other show I could name. Just compare the cinematography of The Sopranos to Breaking Bad, and it's night and day. I like Breaking Bad, but visually it's not contest.
@@michelpanther1317 he didnt have a choice he was secrewed since he s birth by tony to become a gangster even if tony didnt efluence him someone will come and force him to do the familly business
I think Michael Imperioli's performance as Christopher is one of the greatest portrayals of a heroin and drug addict on film. It's not completely over the top like most people's interpretation of a drug addict, but is more nuanced and subtle like real life.
Chris' character makes every wrong decision (except for not robbing that truck) and pays the price, its brutal. Really sad character arc, genius stuff.
Dude Chris is such an amazing character. He's someone you are mad at for the decisions he made while you sympathized with his pain. Everything would have been so different if he hadn't seen those people at the gas station. Dear God. His life was a Tragedy through and through with spices of comedy, but ultimately a massive tragedy.
@@chadtrickthereal after Adriana tells him that she was working for the FBI he goes to a gas station where he sees a (maybe poor) family in which the father looks really unhappy. He is a selfish duche. All of these gangsters are. I don't think leaving the mob life would have changed that. But yeah, I still feel bad for him sometimes.
@@volkovedits that doesn't make him not a hypocrite lol. Remember when he was sharing about a woman he slept with in the past to Adrianna and when she tried to do the same right after, he beat her and stormed off?
As much as I think Many Saints of Newark sucked, the line "That's the guy. My Uncle Tony. The guy I went to hell, for." From a dead Christopher sent chills up my spine.
Definitely, then it made me mad when they explicitly mentioned that Tony killed him, like they could've just left it there and maybe people who hadn't watched the show before seeing it wouldn't get such a pivotal moment spoiled (and for nothing basically)
So sad man I wish Christopher Moltisanti never had died. He made mistakes he wasn’t a good person and at times his drug habit got the best of him but he always did his best to go above and beyond to show that he was loyal and more than capable enough to protect and one day lead the family after Tony.
I only recently finished watching for the first time, exceptional series!! Loved Chris. I'd read somewhere or seen something that seemed to suggest Christopher ended up being number one after Tony had died. Well....I was not expecting Christopher to die, least not half at the hands of Tony, blew me sideways that and I never quite fully recovered for a few episodes. Absolutely loved the ending as well, thought it was brilliantly done, the signs are all there but it still leaves the door slightly ajar for some imagination and interpretation, I love stuff like that. Excellent.
@@swjdnansjdjs4224 Jesse the young kid + I am the danger is his evil boss and the btch blonde wife. Sopranos paved the way for criminality in tv shows, ppl were scared back then.
