“The plan, the expectation is to sell the team in two parts. Fifty-one percent going fairly soon, 49 percent then closing in a second closing, that’s the expectation, in 2028. I’m planning or expected to stay on until ’28 and we’re going to hire bankers and advisors and this is going to be quite a bidding process.”

“I want to just clarify, it’s not my majority stake. The control of the team is owned by my family. So it’s a family that I belong to and then I have the Celtics family that I also belong to. So there’s an intersection and there’s an involvement. The family has been involved for 22 years. There’s been discussions and thoughts about estate planning and family planning.”

Called this was the story a while ago. Hope Pags gets it. Larry Ellison will definitely not get it imho; the league would never let a guy that rich take on our payroll.
EDIT: Just to explain that last part, Larry Ellison was the founder of Oracle, CEO for it's first 37 years, is still the owner of about 42% of Oracle Corporation, and is a top-10 richest person in the world. If he bought the Celtics would be the richest owner in not just the NBA but all of sports. Period. Only Steve Ballmer would come close.
The league, as I understand it, has final say in approving sales of teams. I do not think the NBA will approve a sale to Larry Ellison. He could handle the luxury tax bill for the team very easily, and in the meantime, the Celtics have the best starting-6 roster in the NBA, and Ellison could keep it that way for at least 6 years with his money alone. The league will likely not approve a sale to him so that they can keep the league more competitive.
