- In this video, I go why everyone hated on the Celtics 2024 NBA playoff title run. I also talk about the Boston Celtics in the Finals, and the reasons why people hate them.

Having the easiest path to the finals is not Boston's fault, last time I checked Boston beat every team in the regular season besides Denver, Boston won the best record by around 12+ games, and people say they had the easiest path, most of the times the 1# seed will have it easier and Boston also had 1 star player injuried in KP, injuries are part of Basketball unfortunately we cant used that as an excuse every year a team gets injured in the playoffs
Yeah and i would bet if tatum was healthy on that 2022 this might boil down to 2 rings on us celtics
Celtics played those seeds because they were the #1 seed...that's...how it works. Not to mention KP was hurt the entire playoff run - but no one mentions that. And Dallas handled the entire West, yet the Celtics absolutely trucked them anyway.
Sure, there are those across the country who hate Boston because they are tired of the constant winning (13 major championships since 2001). But you know what? They're just salty and jelly.
It's also crazy to me that analysts used the fact that Boston lost a Finals to the GSW and lost a couple Conference Finals to various teams as a mark against them. Since when is coming within less than 10 games of winning a title an argument against your ability to win at the highest level? That's like saying "this guy made $950,000 last year, 975,000 the year before and that's proof that he can't possibly make $1 million". But this other guy who has never made more than $500,000, he's for sure going to make the $1 million.
Good points. Also when the Yankees got Babe Ruth it still took them around 5 years to win a World Seriies , actually losing a few before finally breaking through.
Injuries certainly play a role in the playoffs. Embid hurt in Philly, Bultler hurt in Miami, Giannis hurt in Milwalkee, changed the playoff competitveness. But Kristaps was also hurt most of the playoffs so depth and team cohesiveness also has a role.

Finally, someone says it. Who was beating these celtics 4 times? WHO? This team was just different. The holiday and porzingis moves pushed them over the top.
Funny how everyone plays for the first seed all regular season for the exact purpose of having easier playoff matchups and now all of a sudden that it was overwhelmingly the Celtics it’s a bad thing lmao
You cant take a team that made it to the finals and say oh they were a 5th seed they were supposed to lose. By the time the mavs made the finals they were a completely different team compared to the regular season.

At the end of the day the nba fanbase knows that the Celtics are a threat to there favorite team not having a chance to win it all. Everyone subconsciously is scared that the Celtics will continue to dominate.

Um thats what happens when you are 1st seed lmao its supposed to be easy..also we dont choose who we play at all thats not how playoffs work...we just played who was put in front of us and its not our fault teams were hurt but people fail to mention we had injuries as well...people just discredit our season and run cause we dominated every game except for 3 losses and most games in that pacers series

everyone including the person who made this video keep saying well the heat were injured, the cavs injured, the pacers injured, the mavs injured... what everyone seems to forget is KP who is a celtic was.... what's the word... oh yeah..... injured. And everyone acts like the celtics got to choose who they played. I will be honest I thought the celtics could win... I didn't know if they would win. I am glad they did.

Im tired of this easy path narrative, miami targeted celtics for years because they thought they’d beat them again via injuring players, but it happened with that season massacre and jimmy was there. People like to hate, it’s just expectations to be honest, everyone has them. If they don’t drop 20 or more in a playoff game everyone flames them, and that could be for whoever.

They worked they're asses off playing games to be the #1 seed, and it was clear they were very dominant from the fact they are the only team in the regular season to have 60+ wins.
