Hi Mergim. Right now I’m watching your video on my big screen smart tv and you look like a movie actor. So beautiful to watch on big screen. Thanks for updates about Iloilo
If you noticed the Iloilo Biz Park is oriented in a straight line (Boulevard)....it's because it used to be the main Iloilo airport and they moved the airport now to a bigger Iloilo international airport outside the city centre
There's another homegrown brand by Megaworld, a 4-star hotel, opening soon. The hotel is 12 stories high and has 405 hotel rooms, costing P1.5 billion. The Belmont Hotel is located just across from the Richmond Hotel and next to a luxury condominium called the St. Dominique and St. Honore.
I am so proud of my Hometown,Iloilo City.Thank u so much @Mergim and try our la paz batchoy and molo soup there..Hopefully ur next visit will be in Bacolod City the Capital of Negros Occidental. And the Masskara Festival celebration will be held on October.Goodluck and more explore.Keep safe.
Hello Po.... I'm liking Iloilo City and will visit in December. Where's a good place to rent long-term for a single foreigner? Thank you for your consideration.
In my opinion, The Richmonde Hotel is, in terms of maintenance, neglected. Maybe it's the OCD in me but...I notice things, such as stains in their carpet in front of elevators and hallways (on every floor), their exterior windows are filthy and full of calcium deposits, including the canopy above the lobby and entrance area, etc., etc. All that I previously mentioned should be reason enough for them to lower their room rates. Also, based on my personal experiences through the years...Megaworld properties are forgotten (maintenance, etc.) once they are up and running. They continue on to the next, newest project. Rinse, wash, repeat. Their Eastwood property comes to mind. The Marriott a block away from the Richmonde is a better option albeit a little more pricier.
You got lucky with the weather, it's been raining none stop here. I guess you don't know the trick to speeding up the internet on the hotel wifi. When I ran the test I got 66 Mbps on download and 18 Mbps upload. We figured out the thermostat, rotated the dial to about 25 and it kept a good temperature, but we were a few floors down and not on a corner units so it might have helped a bit. We got the TV to work, it is old school with a large selections of TV channels. Not having a smart TV isn't such a downer, most of my UA-cam viewing is done on a computer. Agree the pillows are a bit thin, tend to fold them over to get a bit of bulk out of them, but I've noticed a lot of the hotels seems to use those types of pillows. Your room orientation is exactly what we had, it's strange they didn't design your room to take advantage of those large windows. Would have made sense to flip the bed to the other wall turning the room into an epic experience.
Yes Mergim most hotels even 5 star hotels have the very very soft pillow that if you are a senior citizen you find it difficult to sleep, you feel a stiff neck in the morning..
I actually love this hotel and love the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The restaurant at the ground floor has a lot of options and they're quiet frankly delicious. Yes I do agree that the pillow could need some upgrading. The pool was just right for me as I do not intend to swim like an Olympic swimmer. Its actually quiet relaxing by the pool and nice selection of drinks on the bar. With that said I will definitely try other hotels especially the new ones that are opening up in this lovely city.
Iloilo population is very low. Not feasible to build casino and hotel that big. But Iloilo have relatively low poverty rate and better standard of living
Any simp can stay at hi end hotel, but it takes a wise guy stay at a hi end and get it for an extremely great price, that's the video we need to see n hear A few key strokes on a PC will get one a hii end anything in life, it's the super deals is what we need to hear about

Better than any hotel here in the uk
The Richmond Hotel Iloilo city very fancy! 4:00 The pool and the gym is pretty small though. The picture online is very deceiving. 😐
Iloilo bike lanes and esplanade are also pretty nice ^^

Starlink is the other better option. I also agree with your pillow feedback.
You should have tried on the nearby Marriot Hotel.. internet, food, and other amenities are far more better.
Funny, after being all over the Philippines for a year the Richmond is one of my favorites to stay at. YMMV

Much better you stay in Courtyard Marriott hotel beside Richmonde. Is way better than Richmonde.
Nice review. I saw the pillows are so thin and uncomfortable, haha. Iloilo is beautiful.
Restaurant and breakfast very good
G'day! Smiling watching your vlogg and sometimes having a bit of a laugh, the way you're going on. You're such a funny guy😅😉🥰
Richmonde hotel is close to where my mom's work😅
Internet at the Richmond Hotel in Ortigas is also crap. At least they're consistent 😅
This hotel needs refurb mb updates of some amenities. there were far better new hotel around the city now
What's the name of this hotel ?
@@teresitabillena5050 Richmond Hotel is the one he featured in this blog.
My hometown Iloilo city. Now in Taiwan
Don't expect too much in Iloilo city.. usually businessmen use hotels and the province is a Sugarland so sugarcane planters go there
120k🎉!!!
What hotel is this in Iloilo ?
5, 000php ( philippine peso)
@@teresitabillena5050 Richmond Hotel
There's no free breakfast included for that rate?
Did you study architecture?

Why don't you Said to the staff on that hotel that you are a vloger so it will be free or you can get a discount 😉
👍✅😜✅👍
Maybe your head is heavier than the pillow😅
That hotel is a disappointment for $5k/night. It’s an old hotel that needs a lot of upgrades 😂 Mergim when are you gonna go2 Siquijor and Siargao?
5k pesos not $
Philippine Pesos not Dollars
₱5k is like $80 dude😂
This is definitely not a $5,000 hotel .Its 5,000 Pesos at todays exchange rate its $87.
okada and nustar is better
I think it depends on what a person is going for.
Okada and Nüster are not in Iloilo City. He's staying in and reviewing an Iloilo City hotel. 🤷♀
