You mention in every episode that you don’t drink coffee now. I really want to know the real reason why you made the change!
Did you know that many takeaway tea drinks actually contain as much caffeine as coffee?
Thank you for introducing the Philippines in such detail, including your itinerary. I believe you have fallen in love with the Philippines!
I look forward to having you come back to my country one day! Thank you very much for sharing, great job! Have a beautiful life! Happy travels! 👍🥰🙏

Try to learn to drive a bike or scooter and explore more. Dumaguete is notorious for making foreigners stay, once you immersed yourself with the culture and lifestyle there even for a week. Try making friends with locals especially students at nearby universities. Would love to see more food vlogs.

Just along Rizal Boulevard, is a modest looking Bethel Guesthouse (behind where you filmed) and they have a very nice food cantina just near the entrance that offers a lot from soups, main course to sumptuous desserts. Both locals & travellers go there. Cheap too!

Good to see in your vid passing by our old fav resto the Chinese Chin loong opposite to Silvanas. Had been coming back there for 35 years or so, glad this resto still in existence. Then we go for Silvanas for dessert. The heat in Dumaguete is overwhelming. We have a place just 20 minutes from the city, we don't live there yet but some degrees cooler, don't need an aircon. Most do refer only Valencia area as cooler place but actually there are many areas that can be cooler as going further up higher altitude. Negros Oriental is mountainous. Going outside Dumaguete is cooler.

Not mentioned: most foreigners live in neighboring towns and come to Duma for shopping and nightlife. You won't see many downtown unless you go looking in some places where they congregate like Why Not. There is a cultural scene in Duma (museum, performances, concerts etc.) also a music scene with many bands in the evening. Nearest good beach is Dauin (16km) with brown sand. Orher beaches have grey sand, less nice. Mountains and jungle scenery are a 30 minute ride away. Good hiking. Popular diving spots for scuba diving nearby. Many educated locals in Duma you can have conversations with instead of small kids and other expats. Duma is a university town with beautiful campuses.

Too often I have walked out and not bothered to wait. More universities are needed for developing business and maximizing profits.

Having lived in Dumaguete for 6 years I have found the restaurants a hit or miss affair .You can have a good meal then next time get an oxidised glass of wine and a near cold bowl of soup which on previous times has been good. The main problem is foreign owners come with money decide to open a restaurant never had experience hire Filipina cooks who never have tasted or cooked foreign foods and it is a disaster. I have found pizza restaurants that forgot to put sauce on a pizza plus the prawns .I have ordered chocolate ice cream with no sprinkles as I am diabetic and last visit that's what happened. What I got was vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate sauce all over. I complained direct to the kitchen they showed me the waitress had ordered sprinkles but on asking why no chocolate ice cream told we are out of it but why not ask customer and why the chocolate sauce. Sorry sir Sorry sir I just said to them you never see me again.I encounter such things here all the time.No one could care less you need to get used to it as no one cares.

Maybe if you take a future trip you should consider Rizal Province, where I live with my family, on the outskirts of Antipolo City. It is only a couple of hours from Manila and is at a relatively high altitude so there's neither the humidity nor the pollution that you experience elsewhere in the province. As a relatively industrial city it is not over-touristed, but here are a number of hill resorts in the area even higher up that have a cool temperature and a relaxing environment. These are quite popular with Manila-ites wishing for a break from the capital. My wife and I frequently take extended breaks to escape city-life.

Zane, I'm thankful that you escaped a very bad situation on your way to Duma. That's a wake up call especially the timing - that is close to all saints day. I see you like food. Local food there have a lot of meat and fat. Try to balance with vegetables for health. You'll reap benefits with longevity and energy.
But that's body food. What about soul food? You know- word of God. Feed your body live long, feed the soul live forever.
    Cleo

There are venomous snakes all over the place and no antivenim, thousands die a year and plenty of expats they have cobras and vipers everywhere, venomous sea snakes everywhere , it’s perfect jungle environment for snakes, they’re green tiny vipers crawl on tree branches and bushes everywhere

As I told in the comments of the last video, go to Dauin, and also visit the area north of the port.. Not the old people boulevard..
There are not so may young people but still, a few are there..
You could collab with some of the younger vloggers here, like "Van & Joe" or maybe the "Swiss Humanity" guy.. That could help you!
There is also Finn Snow, but that the top league of vloggers in the Philippines, you have not enough subscribers and popularity for someone like him :D

I should be in Dauin in the New Year. Good to know there is a younger crowd there! 😊

@@melantha4331 Yeah, because there are some hostels and its the gateway to Apo and maybe the best place to learn diving in the Philippines also.. FinBar is a nice place, also of course the bars of the hostels are a great place to get to know the younger folk coming here
For Dumaguete, north of the port there are places like "Hayahay".
And it is an university city, anyways.. It has FOUR universities and a lot of colleges too.. So the younger folk has to go somewhere. That they not neccessarily go to the old people places, unless they want to get hin on and picked up by some old creeps, should be clear :)
The other club in Dumaguete, though, the Why Not? is more likely the club if they explicitely want to meet foreigners..
To a certain point it was the only one, so thats why many recommend it, but now there are options, the audience splits in those two groups I would say.

Bad Bad Bad. Killed the Goose. Not to many years ago Costa Rica was the HOT spot. A few older expats started sharing their experience on You Tube. It's a really neat place, or used to be.
Out of nowhere the younger crowd with the latest tech started flooding the blog market to make a buck. Amazing how short of a time it took for home prices to came to compare USA.
BLOG greed actually. ruined one of the coolest spots on the planet. You guys are doing the same here. It will happen fast and shock you. We all have the right to make our own bed. However at the expense of others makes you what you really are.
