Well, I started off today with a cup of coffee and a very nice little bow front box build. And here I am at the end of the day with a cold beer and these very cool wooden storage boxes build. What more could a guy ask for. Terrific video. And the best part is that I learn something new from everyone of them.
Thank you. Check out the other videos in the channel, many have far more explanation. I also have a series of videos especially for beginners coming out soon.
Great project really good, one thing I am trying to work out, where do you buy 5 pieces of construction timber for less than £11.00? Do you live in North America.
Hey, no I'm in West Yorks. The timber came from Wickes for this one. They had an offer on at £2.19 at the time. This was a couple if years back. It's probably nearer £2.75 now.
Why do you push the off-cut against the blade while ripping? This only increases the risk of kickback and does nothing in terms of precision. The same with putting a stop block on the offcut side...
I gut some hard wood runners to the right size, layer them in the table and then attached the ply wood base. I then fixed the rear beam at one end and made a small table saw cut in the middle of the ply base with the sled in position. I then used this as reference to square up the rear beam and then attached it. I then used the cut and the rear beam as reference to fix the front beam. Then I made a full length cut.

I wonder what the prices are now post COVID 😂

Yeah, that's some bad technique on my part there.
@@adventuresint-shirtswoodwo3905 Nice build though (which I will ruthlessly copy from you ^^). Stay safe, so you can bring us many more!
@@Audioventura Thank you. My technique has improved some what since then ;-) The boxes I built in the video are going strong nearly 5 years on.
How did you make the dual crosscut sled ?

Gorilla glue?
Hi Steven, it's Gorilla brand but it's their PVA wood glue, not the general purpose 'Gorilla Glue'.
