back in 90s i was going along with my dad who is now a retired truck driver. we would see lots of UK trucks on the roads and most of them were with left hand drive because they would travel a lot in continental europe. now i don't see it anymore. any uk or irish truck is right hand. do you find it challenging driving right hand drive on a left hand road??
Hope your charm worked when you finally made it home. At least the dogs are always pleased to see us. I envy you doing Euro Tramping. @@garethduddy5064 Went the Blonk a few times but our agent was to tight to put his hand in his pocket, so we usually went Frazers, or Swiss if we were light enough. If we were doing Greece it was usually out of Brindisi. Again the agent was a tight arse.
After that went driving for a a mob out of Pordenone ( north east Italy) doing a run to Corgos ( China border ) did that for about 2 years....now doing B Doubles and road trains in Australia
Have a look at Tas truck slid show on YT.
@@aussietruckphotosandmodels8510 i wouldn’t blame him lad it’s expensive. Hi that would have been some run over to Corgos. What was it like? What part of oz you in? I done a couple of years myself in the NT. I’ll defs check it out thanks
@@garethduddy5064 I'm in Tasmania and work local and Interstae from there. Heading of to Townsville on Saturday. so I'll work local with out a log book till Thursday evening then go for the boat on Saturday afternoon. Hope to be back in Tas for the following Sunday.. Mostly night work so we can do Market tips.
Corgos..... There's s bucket of worms.....45 in the summer - 50 in winter... I put some stories up on Trucknet UK a few years ago.... Most folk thought it was all made up, cause I couldn't back it up with photos. We didn't take cameras with us cause the Russians and Kazakhs could do us for spying. 9 to 12 days each way if it was a good run. if it wasn't good 6 days sitting at a border, and you have about 9 borders each way... could be a long trip.... Or they would let 4 of our trucks through but stop the 5th. So we all had to wait. Towed a broken down Scania ( fully loaded ) 2800 K's across mountains on gravel and mud... Sorry to ramble.....Who did you work for in the NT Might know them. go up quite often..
@@aussietruckphotosandmodels8510 your kept busy lad. You paid by the mile there? Had a drunken night or two in Townsville. That sounds like a whole balls, plenty of coffee money handed over at them borders? Hi fuck what anyone says or chooses to believe or not lad. At the end of the day you’ve done it and no one can take that from you. I worked for a crowd in Daly waters called R.M Murphy and AA Co at the Barkley tablelands
Hast du eine Karte wo man die strecke genau sehen kann so schön
Great vid I just don't understand why you haven't got a 4x2 truck with the bigger fuel tanks and you have the 6x2 bet your constantly fuelling up
Because we do a lot off UK work to. And I’m sure you know about the different weights. Yeah you’d be filling up every couple of days.
Subbed, Gareth - all the best!
Thanks Mitch. It much appreciated
It's a tough life for not only the driver but there family also. Safe driving.
Definitely not easy Micheal. Part off the job unfortunately. Hope your keeping well bud
Well done keep up the good work i follow your brother as well.
Thanks Liam it’s much appreciated
Great video Gareth pal. Subscribed. Really enjoyed the camera view from the cab as you cut about Europe, looks to be a wee bit more interesting and scenic than the U.K! Keep it coming mate, stay safe.

Great video mate,greetings from London
Thanks Tom. Hopefully your keeping well bud. Thanks for the comment
back in 90s i was going along with my dad who is now a retired truck driver. we would see lots of UK trucks on the roads and most of them were with left hand drive because they would travel a lot in continental europe. now i don't see it anymore. any uk or irish truck is right hand. do you find it challenging driving right hand drive on a left hand road??
Hope your charm worked when you finally made it home. At least the dogs are always pleased to see us. I envy you doing Euro Tramping. Would be something I would love to do, especially now I am single so would not mind being away. Alas there are no companies around Middlesbrough that need drivers for that sort of work, or only recruit by personal introduction. Anyway keep up the vlogs. I look forward to working my way through them. Stay safe and keep smiling.
Thanks for the comment Doc. Aw the aul charm always wins in the end bud lol. The only advice I can give you sir is, if you ever wanted to do it, go for it. Life’s to short for regrets. Thanks for the support, it’s really appreciated
Hi Doc Proc, I know of a company headquartered in Aberdeen but they have a base in Newcastle. Grampian Continental and Essex International both owned by the same person. Speak to them as they do international work. I’m also from Yarm on Tees (originally from Essex) so I know the struggles in looking for companies even though I’m only 14
Nice one Gareth, it's the closest I'll get to seeing the continent this year, with this damn pandemic.
There doesn’t seem to be an end of it in sight Kevin to be honest. You hear on the news how well the vacation is going then in the next they’re talking about how the numbers of people catching it is rising. We’ll all be glad to see the back of it
hi good for you lad
I drive mainly northern Europe from UK. Why do you drive rhd Scania? In my opinion is better lhd and drive most of trips on correct side.
Good video.
That’s just what he bought. Suppose when he goes 2 sell it be easier 2 get rid off them
Top effort for a first up video! Camera placement giving us passengers an unobstructed view out the front is much appreciated as is the clarification re the footage in Greece and the ferry. A non European here so if in later vids you can see your way clear to add a place name occasionally then we can follow along on a map. Flash lorry!! Subscribed.
Good day would you buy this kind of bus? Toyota makes tough vehicles not fancy garbage so this is the perfect
Great video Garrett 👍😊 keep it up bud you could do well on this channel like your bro channel , nice seen Irish truckers doing youtube videos thanks man 👍😊
Thanks Niall, it’s much appreciated lad. I’m glad your liking the videos. Thanks for the support
No worries Gareth keep them coming 👍
Great vidio really enjoyed it........ Music gets on your nerves a bit and your mic needs updating and think just being honest you want a bit more talking in your vlogs make it more interesting,,,,, take a look at Ned Kelly the master of truck vlogs....... Cheers
Hey Gareth how's it going ha we say dat in cork to boy ha great to see if video s keep um going
Well how’s it going John? Lol thanks for the comment lad, glad you liked the video. Thanks for the support
Good video with great content, will be waiting on your next one. Only thing i will say is cut all video out of you picking phone up as there is a lot of grasses/ narks about just saves the hassle and potentially your licence :) Keep it up
Thanks Jordan. Didn’t even think off that lad. I’ll keep it in mind when I’m editing in future
Hi Gareth. Great video. What cameras do you use? Great quality
How long will you be away for on this sort of trip ? What's your working pattern ? Is it two weeks on two weeks off ? Sorry, I'm a class 2 tipper driver, so I'm home every night (most of the time, it's a very occasional night out to pick up a load early the next morning). You euro trampers fasinate me !
Nice job gareth haven't done Europe yet myself. But would love to Do a trip. Keep the videos coming. And sure it wouldn't be an Irish truck if she wasn't pushing for a boat
How’s it going lad? Thanks for the comment. If you haven’t done Europe and you’d like to, I highly recommend you go for it. Live life with no regrets my friend. Haha that’s true, we’re always pushing for boats. As the old saying goes the boat waits on no man lol
Nice vdeo sir.. i like your truck👍
Thanks I really appreciate it
Just found your channel gareth, welcome, great vlog and trip, follow the brother aswell,,, watch the rest of your videos tonigth,,

I need a bit of a favour if possible. I am trying to get to Spain to access the treatment abroad scheme as I can not be treated in Ireland. I am from Galway and I have 2 little doggies Batman and Robyn I want to bring with me, but its hard to get a ferry if you don't travel by vehicle. I am in bad health and I have to fund myself getting out there. If you know anyone that would give myself and my two small dogeens a lift across the water I would be ever so greatful. Thanks for reading this and God bless.
Life is to short to polish another man’s truck. Nice vid.
Thanks Howard, I’m glad you like the video. That’s The wrong attitude my friend. I live in that thing for 26days of the month, I like it looking well.

Hi Gareth just found your videos, they're a good watch!!👍do u find driving around Europe easier than the UK??
Thanks Andrew I appreciate it. Yeah I do find it easier driving round Europe. In general tends to be less traffic and you can cover more ground. Means your days aren’t as long
Loved it and great soundtrack!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it. I appreciate the support
But can you solve in under ten minutes .....?
A boy counts 2 marks for each question he gets right and -1 for each question he gets wrong.
If he scores 270 marks in total after an exam with 210 questions.
How many questions did he get right ?.
Hopefully things work out better next time Gareth just get rid of the bloody annoying music all the time you can obviously have a bit of commentary looking forward to your next one
Thanks Gary for the feedback lad. Hi I hear you about the music lad, only use it to fill gaps. And you can’t just put up any music on UA-cam as I’m sure your aware. Would you really want to be listening to me rambling on for 40mins??? Lol
Cracking vid mate, what camera are you using?
Thanks lad. It a cross tour 4K
School boy error. You never say when you will be home, or never book an appointment.

Good, honest vlog Gareth. Always been interested in European tramping. Is it worth it financially and can you take passengers? Keep vlogging you're doing great from Daz a UK tramper ☺
Ey up mate, Ned Kelly sent us your way. Enjoyed the video. Quick question when you were down in Greece and its 35+ degrees. How do you manage with no aircon pod? Do you idle the truck for aircon or just sweat it out?
How’s it going Ash? Yeah lad I just sweated it out. I was in a truck park so didn’t want the lorry running all night with fellas either side of me. If I was on my own she would have been running all night. There wasn’t a lot of sleep that weekend
