escape 17 is price starting at $34,000...

What concerns me in these trailers is the honeycomb floor. I have heard they will fall apart very quickly. What has everybody heard about that?

How possible is it to get it without the toilet/black tank? I'd be more interested in putting in a simple composting toilet like a trelino.

Nice trailer.. I don't like the color of the shower walls which looks like mildew (!) but not a bad item for the weight and a couple who go out and about 3-4 times a year.

First …you should have done much more research before building this and for the 150% markup on the price the building materials are the same garbage all others are made out of… second; I feel sorry for the poor fools that get sucked into this riddle trap.

I will be building a trailer this spring. Using a popup trailer frame($200.00). 7’ x 14’. About $1500-1800 for framing/skin(marine plywood). $1000 for commercial windows/door. A couple of marine deep cycle batteries. Wired with power strips on each end, ceiling exhaust fan. A few lights. If I splurge on some stuff, I don’t think Icould go over $5000…….

Do these trailers have brakes?

I checked factory prices on all models up to 19'. These have got to be some of the most expensive trailers for their size on the market. I kept looking for the Daimler-Benz logo somewhere and never found it. These folks have a very high opinion of their product. $25,000 standard model (above) up to $30,000 for the Layout A Deluxe. You can buy a house for the new cost of the 19'. Close to $50,000. And remember, the prices do not reflect the price of accessories, like the awning, A/C, Heat.... Keep your eyes open during the sales spiel. Add your accessories, then sales tax, the modifications on your current ride...this is not an inexpensive camper compared to many, many others.

Let's be a little more realistic and throw out a price of about $15,000. Not to mention everyone I know who has bought any brand of new trailer has them in the shop constantly because they are made like shit.

Thankyou for sharing this trailer and your thoughts about it. It would be perfect if they cut in a 5k btu window unit above the toilet on the rear of the trailer. Window units are cheap and easy to replace yrs down the road. A roof top exhaust fan and more solar panels on the roof would truly increase time spent out boondocking too. Thanks again

We bought an E19 in 2020 and love it. Best value for quality in my opinion, with regard to the fibarglass competitors. We have traveled from WA to NY, WA to UT and WA to CA. Next year a trip to WY.

I appreciate American RV makers are trying to make their interiors more stylish but they just feel forced. The rounded cabinet openings clash with the squared off look of the rest of the camper. It’s faux euro feeling. They need to invest in hiring designers who know how to make it all work together instead of piecemealing it.

Love the design. My preference is for a north/south bed. I won’t buy an east/west bed. Also, all the windows should be able to open.

I do like the layout of this 21 Escape, but no microwave? That's an issue.

I really like the Escape travel trailers but I think that they're overpriced and the way that they get you is by the options, which many of them should be standard equipment, some examples are countertops extension should be standard, gas electric water heaters should be standard,, as well as 200 watt solar panel, air conditioning and I could name a few more items as well. When you look at the RV industry as a whole a good portion of their options are standard equipment across the board. I just priced a 17-foot Casita fully loaded with every option they offer for 35,000 with a bathroom or 30,000 without bathroom, and that includes two-tone color, 300 amp hour lithium battery 2000 Watt inverter 200 watt solar panel and a solar port on the side , and there's many other options that I didn't name and I know escapes are built a little better but I don't think they're built that much better to justify 810,000 dollar price difference . Just my opinion maybe you can enlighten me

You mentioned you wish it had molded fibreglass inside cabinetry instead of wood, which companies do that? That’s interesting. I didn’t know anyone did that (except Oliver but they are 2x the price)

I enjoy your videos. The Escape trailers are an interesting option. I’m Canadian, I live in BC, so I find “off-putting” that Escape quotes only in US dollars. Did you ask them about that? I’d interested in their response. Thanks.

Thanks for these walk through's. I like the size of the 17, but wish they'd offer a compressor fridge option and put the batteries inside (if lithium). I've seen pictures of the 17 with the acrylic windows and they make a difference!
