- Spring master bedroom refresh, decorate and declutter with me! I love this time of year, Spring has sprung and it's time to let the old out and the new in. I am giving a simple decor update to my master bedroom with some Spring bedding, a declutter and an organise too.

Anyone else play a game each time Catherine gestures animatedly whilst holding a full cup of tea - will she spill or won't she? Honestly surprised at how good she is at not spilling.
I change my bed linen every week because my idea of luxury is clean bed linen. When I win the lotto I will have a clean bed every night 🇮🇪☘️
It's been rain, rain, rain here on our little Italian island so that puts us WAYYY behind getting our garden ready for planting, and more rain coming in the next few days. So..I've got my cup of tea and a dose of Catherine and Blondie to cheer up this dismal day. If only we could bottle you! You're such good medicine.
You are a beautiful young lady and that Beret you just rock it girl do not get rid of it!!!!
What you need for your beret is a pretty hat box. Maybe a small stack of hat boxes and I bet you could craft some cute ones yourself!
I put my hats in fancy hat boxes and stack them in a corner of my bed room or near the front entrance. You can buy plain round cardboard hat boxes and use scrapbook papers, old newsprint, caligraphy, etc. Just cut paper to shape, spray box with adhesive...and apply papers.
I agree, The Beret is very feminine lovely pink, very chic. I wanted to comment on the rolling of your tops/blouses. My daughter has been watching UA-cam and DIy hacks and tricks for small spaces for years. She started rolling her clothes at least that long, although I balked since this is something my Mom never did. I was pleasantly surprised how much of a space saver this is and if correctly rolled does not wrinkle any garment.I have adopted this method for mainly shirts and summer shorts. I am a firm believer on hanging certain blouses and dresses, slacks, blazers and jackets but I think that's just a little but of my upbringing coming out. Keep your dresses. You will never know if you will find something you love and just as pretty as your selection and style. Wonderful video.

If you have clothes you don't want to part with but lack space, the vacuum bags are brilliant, just pop them in your loft after. 💖

Your little dresses are so pretty, I wear nothing but dresses and finding pretty dresses here in Canada is just impossible. They come in black or red basically. Ah Catherine there is nothing nicer than getting into a nice clean freshly made bed. And a good de-clutter does the soul good too……I’ve just swapped my winter wardrobe for my spring, summer wardrobe……and today it snowed🤣🤣

My daughter for a long time now has been sprinkling baking soda with some essential oil in it on our carpet and no problems with it clogging the vac.

Oh what a cute book signing dress! If you're on the fence about sewing a strapless bra in it, you may also try a balconette bra that has the straps quite further apart and then sew in a so called shoulder strap retainer from the haberdashery into the collar of the dress to hold and hide them.
Also, when I change my bedding on a sunny day, nothing beats hanging the naked duvet and pillow into the sun for a few hours before putting on new bedding.

I always hang my doona and pillows in the sun whenever i wash the doona cover. Also, the mattress protector.

My wardrobe is now very jealous of your wardrobe as it is so full of stuff I love but don't or can't wear anymore, so I am going to take my inspiration from you and thin it out. ....I think you should keep a few of your dresses, and donate a few. It's always good to have dresses in ones closet, I don't believe in the " if you haven't worn it in a year get rid of it " thing. Well, some things are Special Ocassion and worn for certain purposes...others are " seasonal ". I'll decide for myself whatvi keep, lol.
I store my berets in a hat box, and I have several hat stands for my other hats. I loved that quilt on your bed when you were taking off the bedding ,to do your mattress. I leave the baking soda on all day, lol. ( I'm weird like that. )

I've also seen women brushing in dried lavender flowers on a mattress, leaving it for about 30 minutes then vacuuming it up for a lovely scent. Lovely room refresh tfs 🥰💐🌷🌞🌛🐣🐤🐰💗✝🇺🇲

Get one of those heads they use to put the wigs on and put the berets on that. You can use as a decoration on your dresser. You can age it somehow so it looks more chic.

I make myself tea in a mug and very rarely drink it all at one time. I just warm it up in the microwave, sometimes I end up warming it twice or three times. I never buy mugs with anything metallic on them because I wouldn't be able to put them in the microwave. It's only my first small mug of either green tea or Earl Grey in the morning that I manage to drink completely.

I use the cheap IKEA draw dividers in all my draws and my kids draws and do my version of Konmari folding.. Everything has stayed organized and easy to find and access in our draws since I did it in 2019😊. .
I keep one ikea divider box for winter scrafs, hats, gloves. One for travel stuff, etc.. Maybe try something like that? 😊

@@DaintyDiaries you're welcome🤗. Mine are the basic, cheap Kubb 6 box set that my kids and I all have. I use them in bathroom and kitchen draws/cupboards to😊. But I know there are more complex draw dividers that are a part of the PAX furniture line.

I keep my berets in a drawer with all my bobble hats, beanies, scarves, gloves etc. I live in France too, about an hour south of Paris 😊

Another great video and great ideas! I've noticed that when I fold my clothes like you do, I can see exactly what I have in those drawers. I don't need 5 black t shirts or 5 white ones etc. I do laundry once a week. This folding method has been an eye opener for me. And a great organizational tool for me. Blessings from Florida 💕
