First saw them live in my home town Bolton in 1969. Our usual Friday fight night was blown away by a psychedelic music and lights extravaganza...Mind blowing!
Live is always good. Remember That Night with Rick Wright on keyboards, Crosby and Nash singing back up and Dick Parry on baritone and tenor sax is the best live version
Roger’s vocals have always been rough live. Not David’s. Even Roger’s bass work on this is occasionally out of step. But it still sounds amazing to me. I had this on bootleg years ago and it took some work to get immersed in me, the sound quality of what I had wasn’t great. This sounds amazing. Despite what said, I love how front forward the rhythm section is. And then of course David sounds amazing as always. I know I can look it up but is Dick on sax? Sounds like him.
I agree with others, Check out this song played at the 1994 Pulse concert, you can enjoy the visuals with the music, the entire concert is Epic and it would be awesome to have you react to the entire concert in segments, the Pink Floyd rabbit hole runs deep, God Bless.
We have already done several from Pulse... ua-cam.com/video/TI1jvDsvX3s/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/z6VMwq-mCb0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ycL8OTIUPbE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/KgEtFjXrCkw/v-deo.html
This was the Animals tour 77. I saw a couple days before at Anaheim stadium. You may want to CK out that Animals portion of the concert. I have the double CD. Awesome stuff.
Was sorta hoping for a '74 live version. Maybe along with Raving and Drooling and You Gotta be Crazy, considering your recent foray into Animals. Nice reaction nonetheless.
Pink Floyd paid no attention to what record labels wanted in terms of structure and song format. Like this song, many of their songs had intros that were longer than most other bands entire song!
hi loved this reaction and have just subbed from here in australia, do you know much australian music, as a great introduction try bow river by cold chisel live from the ringside tour
I never said anyone couldn't sing! I love their studio versions, and some other live performances! This one doesn't have the background vocalists, and it sucks. Period.

I hate to be critical of Floyd because I really love them, but man, the vocals were a serious disappointment. Makes me realize how much they need the background singers. Musically tho, just awesome!
Roger's vocals were never all that great live, and it's REALLY evident on the bootlegs from the In the Flesh and The Wall tours because he sings so much on these albums. There are times David and Roger are singing together and Roger's vocals make David sound bad, which is pretty hard to do, imo.
@ianfortier5534 and for me it's the opposite, I like Rogers vocals, and growing up I always felt embarrassed with David's voice, especially on the earlier songs, and still get that on David's solo work, but each to their own, I respect other people's opinions, and know mine isn't the same for everyone,
I would suggest watching the live performance from the pulse concert...minis Roger Waters but the other 3 band members and 3 back up singers are in it and it's awesome. 1994 pulse concert. I went and seen pink Floyd 2 years after the split between Gilmour and waters ...it was Gilmour, Mason and Wright in the Astrodome in Houston. Great concert. I even found that tour on you tube.
Only lasted about 2 minutes and had to turn it off. If you want to see Mike Tyson you don't watch a Micky Rooney movie. If you want the best of Pink Floyd, Live in Pompeii excepted, you watch the videos AFTER Roger left the band. As the opening number to Pulse, 1994, the Pulse version is the ONLY live version worth listening to.......as good as the original recording.

Nice, first time I've heard this version! Love Floyd, one of my favorites, top two all time.
Rare to hear Dave showing he's human,..

Saw them play the entire DSOTM 🌈album twice. 1989 and 1994. It was fantastic. A quarter ounce of mushrooms was a LITTLE too much though😮😅😂😂 Shine On💎
Shine on Syd. R.I.P.

Yes, I believe it is Dick Parry on sax.
Dev; I like the jam session comment, I thought that was quite insightful..
If you want to see it as well as hear it..... you should catch the version at the Pulse concert from 1994. Its widely available on UA-cam
pulse version is a great version but it does not play the complete 1-9 parts
Check out the PULSE live version (1994) of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. It is excellent (audio and video).
1974 live Wembley, best live, full concert, for me one of the best

The last parts are great off of the Album as well.

You should listen to the version of "Pigs (three different ones)" in the same Oakland's gig, its amazing and the sound y quite good (it's a bootleg)
le meilleur album pour moi c est atom heart mother 1970
I'm surprised you're not watching the pulse concert.

Le Pulse Tour est bien meilleur.

Condivido quanto dici ma nel 1977 i Pink Floyd non si ponevano questo problema. E nemmeno il pubblico.
they sound exactly like pink floyd, what i liked is that they never really sounded the same live, i guess we each have a different liking
