    Hindu pushup provides better strength and endurance to the muscles. It provides better flexibility and posture to the body. Unlike in most other exercises, the breathing pattern is opposite when it comes to Hindu push-ups.
    Hindu pushup is one exercise, where the body performs both eccentric and concentric contractions. This eccentric and concentric movement separates the Hindu push-ups from the rest. It provides assistance in increasing flexibility, body posture and cardiovascular health.
    Hindu pushups resemble a lot with a hugely popular exercise performed by Indian wrestlers. It is a complete exercise that gives the body a compounded effect. Hindu push-ups don’t require as much core strength as other variations.

    Yes the technique is considered ok cause its just a good variation in it.i usually dive in with chest flat to floor and once the shoulder blade crosses hand level i up myself like doing pushup.and yes this works for me,helpful in building broad shoulder and mid chest as well tricep

    The Hindu variant just looks funny. I stick with the normal variant and am very happy with the development. A weight vest with weights of 20-30 kilograms are helpful.
