In India a lot of healthy 80 year olds do Hindu Pushups (there are 9 different variations of hindu pushups) and Hindu Squats every single day. Other days they do Suryanamaskar (Sun Salutations)

You are really good at presenting and explaining and encouraging. You are also hilarious!! I have to tell you when I saw my friend my age 63, doing these push-ups every morning, he was in the Indian military I thought those look more challenging, more extensive than my fingertip push-ups. I also came here because someone commented on another video that you knew how to do all the 5 tibetans properly as per Peter K. Glad I found you. 🙏
Hey Tim... I'm so glad to have come across your channel a week ago. I am a developer and my time is spent sitting for hours on a chair with head and neck focussed on the computer. These head, neck, shoulders and hips exercises have literally changed my life. My productivity has never been this good. Could you also do tutorials on arms, legs and chest because I would like to join the gym I the coming month?
So great to hear of your progress! That's really fantastic. Thank you for sharing this with me. I'm very glad the videos have been helpful to you. Thank you also for the suggestions. Do you have specific needs/questions about the arms, legs, and chest?
Awesome! I originally started doing these based on your principles of rocking. Was a little concerned about winging it, glad to see I haven’t been coloring outside the lines.
Hey Super Tim and the OS Crew (I feel like that could be the name of a band🤙), Just want to say thank you for making the internet (and world) a better place. There’s a lot of negativity out there and your jovial spirit and message of movement, positivity, community, and wisdom is a huge blessing to combat that. You’re awesome, amazing, and an inspiration! (Your book 😊) Thanks again, Keep inspiring and being inspired! Julie
Thanks for writing, Julie. Dive bombers are no joke! They'll work you, but personally, I just think the Hindu Pushup feels so much better. As a ballerina, I can see how you'd be drawn to either of them as they allow you to flow through the movement. That's why I like these so much, they flow. I hope you have a wonderful journey full of amazing discoveries! If you do get the book, feel free to let me know if you try any of the concepts. I'd love to hear from you.
Mr. Tim, I find this exercise very effective, simple, and efficient. This is more reliable than regular pushups, this targets the whole body unlike normal pushups which only targets upper body only. Last friday night I did 60 straight hindu pushups in 1 go without taking a break.
Man you the only British American who perform exercises on youtube who really looks young and youth! Give us the secret brother! Your daily workout and diet if you don’t mind!!! And thank you Sirr 👍🏻✅
Sir being diagnosed terminal is bad enough but developing incontinence only compounded a bad situation due to following your three pelvic floor videos over the last eighteen months I have literaly eliminated the incontinence I did them twice a day for ten minutes I also prior to them I do fifteen pushups which I have altered to match rocking hindu as per this video, your impersonation of Chris Farley always make me laugh from a very wet & cold Manchester Uk MANY THANKS

This is awesome Tim! Despite living in India my whole life, I've barely heard/ seen the Hindu Pushups being done. How did you come across these exercises?
I learned them many years ago from Matt Furey, in a book called Combat Conditioning. He was a wrestler, one of the best. The Hindu Squats and Pushups are really popular with wrestlers. They are also like yoga movements at speed. I've seen very old footage of very mature yogis doing these movements too. They are wonderful movements.

Great advice - do you think these are safe for someone with shoulder pain? I have some issues with my ac joint on the left side, my rotator cuff on the right side, and my joint capsule on both sides. Thanks!
It depends. This can be great for shoulders. BUT we teach never to move into pain. You want to move in and take advantage of the range of motion that is pain free.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Thank you! One follow up: a lot of times while I’m working out my shoulders feel fine, but the day after I’ll feel like my anterior capsule/rotator cuff is super sore (in a bad way, I think) or my AC joint feels loose or odd. Any recommendations? I’d like to program Hindu push-ups but I’m a tad bit nervous

It’s okay. Don’t stress about it. I’m not really sure why it’s happening as I can’t see you perform the pushups. But again, I don’t think it’s anything to stress about. It’s okay to readjust your positioning while you train.
You make it look much easier than it is..for me atleast. Once i had my forearms on ground in beginning it was hard n got harder to lift up. Maybe I'll stick to simple rocking fr 2 min fr some more time

However, I would like to know more about your 21 day routine, Is there a special order/variation of movements that you use, or do you just pick one and do it for 21 days? Currently I´m playing with the scorpion/frog roll daily, and I try to come up with my own movements and routines, as I discover the marvellous design of the body. I find the rolling especially helpful when lifting weights, as it teaches the body to follow a natural movement pattern, instead of falling into a faulty one that would lead to injury under a heavy load. I have also come to understand the importance of deep breathing, and that is something that just cannot be praised enough. As for the 21’s. That’s a daily movement program I put together through the lens of OS, The Tibetan Rites, and biology. Looking at the movement design and the bodies ability to maintain itself. It’s a handful of movements done 21 repetitions each. It may take 10 to 30 minutes depending on how you approach it or where your ability is at. It’s essentially what you are learning how to do now. Play, explore, create. You’ve got it my friend. Really, thank you. Your comment is very uplifting and I’m excited about your journey.
That's not correct position. The knees don't touch the ground. Try it, it makes it challenging. The form you tried is for those who can't do a full one hindu pushup

Oh man, You’re there - at a gateway. I think there is much more behind what you’ve written, what you’ve learned and discovered. I’m guessing you’re having quite the adventure. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. I think you’ll find a lot in Pressing Reset, nuances, affirmations, “oh’s”...
I do hope you’ll write back and tell me what you discover along the way.
Yes, thank you this version is done this way on purpose, to help those who can’t and also to offer a movement that just feels good for overall well-being. I’ve other videos about the Hindu Push-up for those that want more.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem i did have feeling That it might befor beginners. But didn't see it anywhere. Good work though. Make one with correct form. also Fyi, there are 12 types of Hindu pushups and 8 hindu squats. You would love one than other. Would be exciting to see you demonstrating each. Good luck
Would to see your series on that
My elbows fail me when doing this exercise🤦♂️
How do you mean?
@@OriginalStrengthSystem when I get to this motion at 1:15 I feel pain in my elbows
Maybe try reducing the range of motion, or the speed of motion, to see where you can move without moving into pain. If there is a pain free range of motion or speed, stay in that range for now.
I spy your new AB wheel... :D

2:10 I lost it my g
Liked it for the ending lolol
Hope it made you smile
