This brings back fond memories of my early childhood. One of my earliest memories is of my mother using one of these washers in the mid-60's. I used to play with the controlls on the front of the washer. I still remember what the timer sounded like when it went off.
I have this washing machine. I use it to walk my clothes. It cleans clothes better than a modern washing machine. A little more work but I wouldn't trade mine!
when they were talking about their mothers not letting them watch the washer. my parents were the exact same way with the washing machine. when i was 3 i knew how to disable the lid lock!
always had to make sure the spin dryer part was loaded evenly to not wobble. Wonderful machines. If anyone had on in the Portland, OR area for sale I would buy it in a snap. working or fixable of course.
That's a matter of perspective. Compare this to dragging all the laundry down to the river and scrubbing it on rocks. That ain't a new washing machine. I bet one of the options was a gas engine for power.
mmmmm...not sure it that would be able to fully rinse everything with the spinner going the whole time. Old twin tubs with auto rinse used to start and stop the spinner and pump as the water built up...
People take interest in these because they don't break as easily or suffer from the problems on newer washers. These are great for people that want a long lasting durable washing machine

Sorry, wrote before I watched it all the way through. She's a real keeper. If you get tired of her, let me know.
Have a few guys around. Have a few beers... fire up the washing machine...
My what a wonderful machine that was. Do you have the lid for the extractor side?
I have one in my yard. I inherited it unfortunately it does not run well. There is water in the tub how do I drain it?
How effective is the cone-spray rinse? Is there no need for a deep agitated rinse?

so... the water coming out of the faucet when it first started spinning came from the clothes??

What's supposed to be easy about this? This is washing with a machine made difficult
Compared to previous models with wringers this was easy. Still is in my book.
