  • The KA-5L BeaterBlade (not KA-TH as I dictated in the video) works perfectly in any of the older Hobart-made 5 quart mixers. Here it is shown mixing cake batter in my early-1950's K5-A.

    I was just given this exact machine thank you for posting this. Im going to go out and get this beater blade I was given a dough hook and several bowls. I want to get the whip attachment as well does New Metro make one that will fit this machine?

      Much less splashing of ingredients! The "spiral curve" More difficult to scrape all the batter off the blade using the to KitchenAid's regular flat beater. I don't like using the BeaterBlad when mixing chunky mixtures like chocolate chips, or chopped nuts in a batter, fear it will eventually rip the silicone edges. Will be purchasing a few new KitchenAid spatulas with the notch that makes scraping the beater clean, easier!
