Sorry to see the MG has gone, but for understandable reasons. I found your channel when looking for a confidence boost prior to doing the springs on my 74 B GT. You didn't mention the VW LT in your round up. More space for a growing family and a loo, but quite rare, might be quite hard to find a nice one, and sure to provide plenty of material for your channel....
Thanks Andrew, glad to hear my videos were of some use! Yes, forgot about the LT, good idea! They do seem to be rare but are a good size. Stay tuned to see what comes along!
Buy the MGB back when your kids leave home! BTW on VWs, the T25 is a lovely vehicle to drive. A real old school feel and you don't get that on the t4,5,6. Our T25 went all over the UK with no problems except fuel economy - if I was buying another, I'd get a liquid cooled model and convert to a later VAG turbo-diesel. That would be an interesting project that will give you a very practical classic, if not exactly original...
Thanks Frank, would love to own the B again someday! I really am keen on the idea of a VW, still lots of research to do before I commit any of my hard earned
Such a pleasure to see the original banjo steering wheel reinstated , it’s absolutely criminal to see so many of these cars being driven with absolutely hideous steering wheels
Rebuilt the engine on friends MGB-GT back in the 70's. He sold it to a guy in town for $400 ! I could have killed him. Was in decent shape with no cancer. $1,000.00 easy all day long back then 🙁
@@restosagaWhen we took it for a test drive I didnt realize there were two different license plates. I was driving when we got pulled over. My friend made such a stink Cops gave HIM the tickets since he claimed ownership...
Great to see this Compilation of the history of the car when it was with you, sad to looses it but this opens up new opportunities!
Thank you! Took a little bit more time to edit this one but I think it turned out ok. Yes, looking forward to the next chapter now!
I feel your pain letting the mg go, I’ve been like that with probably 80% of the cars I’ve ever owned 😀
Thanks, I keep having to tell myself it’s all necessary for greater and better things

Thank you! I couldn’t agree more. You should have seen the monstrosity fitted to it when I bought it!
you were a credit to the cars ownership
Thank you! That’s very kind, much appreciated!
saw it for sale and thought it looked familiar lol
Haha, I did consider trying to sell it through the channel but it went a lot quicker than I thought!

Such a shame!

Hahaha!
You really need a Landcrab now!
Now there’s an idea!
@@restosaga I have a Wolseley Six Landcrab. They are HUGE inside and lovely to drive.
I’ve never owned any sort of 6 cylinder, it’s a cool idea!
@@restosaga Landcrabs come mainly in Austin trim with some Morris and some Wolseley. Most are 4 cyl 1800cc, with a few being 6 cyl 2200.
I think it would be the big six I’d like if I were looking, proper fancy!
how much did you sell it for?
More than I bought it for, a small profit was achieved!
Looking to buy one, so would really appreciate a number for benchmarking
Fair enough. Sold it for £4k.
Jesus whaaat? Listings of the very similar cars (or in the visibly worse conditions) around London / elsewhere in England are for around 10k…
I didn’t think it was worth a lot more than £4k and was delighted. Market for such cars in NI is smaller than in Britain sadly.
