I enjoy the Heritage line. This is in a similar wheelhouse to that of the Lebois Chronographs you recently reviewed. To my eye, this watch looks a bit less dressy and a touch more modern This is a good edition for Longines and SWATCH,. It’s priced about a notch higher than what Hamilton offers, similar in price to a Lebois, but should be far easier to get hold of. Less money than a Tudor though it’s a different design language. Personally, I’d have liked to see a manual wind version with a thinner case height, but this should be just fine anyway. Good review.
Hi Tim, interesting watch despite its low water resistance and those spying subdials... By the way, the matter of the seconds subdial located on the right or on the left could depend on whether we are right-handed or left-handed (that is, on the way our brain perceives the world). Longines could easily offer both alternatives. Regards from Chile!
Hi Tim, as you mentioned, this watch only has a water resistance of 30m. Really, this only makes the watch splash proof when you are washing your hands or caught in the rain a little. In this day and age a watch of this expence from a company as this should really have a minimum 100m water resistance in case you should ever accidentally plunge your hands into water, say to rescue your phone or something you may have accidentally dropped into water which has happened to me a few times in my life. If I had been wearing this watch, it could possibly be a very expensive mistake. I no longer buy any watch now that doesn't have a minimum 100m water resistance for this very reason. A possible video post explaining watch water resistance ratings? I think this would be a great educational one for everyone. Love your videos. Any more Django soon please? 😊👍
This watch looks too good to be Longines! Usually they find at least one way to screw the design of a watch, be it almost equal or to short hands, or the square "bezel" on Heritage classic sector dial or something else, but this time everything looks nice to me. Well done, Longines!
Honestly the water resistance stuff is marketing nonsense. If it actually passes a 30m pressure test it will never have a problem in rain or even submerged for hours.
Review #141? Not sure how you can review watches by looking at pictures. I have seen this watch in person. Legibility is an issue. The hands and numerals are too skinny.
Every Monday Watch of the Week as a quick introduction, every Friday in-depth reviews with watches in the studio. You will like that mix after a while ;-)
There are other issues. It's too Thick which is usual for the company. And it's pathetic that a $3k watch has a Snap-On Caseback for Cost-Cutting reasons.
That has a Depraz chronograph module on top of the 2892 derived movement. Crown isn't inline with the pushers because of that, and hence the running seconds on the right. It's big pass for me!! The Lebois is by a country mile the better watch IMO
I love Longines watches! This one could actually make me want a chronometer. I'm drawn to the Heritage line, and particularly the 'Silver Arrow'.
Good looking watch. Nice to see the numerals are fully intact and not cut up for the subdials.
I really like the classic chronograph styles. Maybe one day I can try one.
Why one day? Buy today😁
Hi Tim, another good posting, I love these new interpretations of older style watches from Longines

Beautiful watch. It will be nice if they offer a manual wind version.
Thanks . I do like Longines though so far not owned one. I hope to do so. Richard
Looks good, no date!👌

You plunge your phone into water- chances are it’s done itself.
That’s a beautiful watch, ngl 👀
Very charming.
Very nice indeed.

I don't understand with time, modern materials and understandings why 30m WR is still done. A $3,000 watch subject to getting caught in a summer rain.
I would love to know how a watch deemed ready to be worn in space (speedmaster) but can't stand up to a splash from the sink?
That’s why it’s only $3000 by a new one each time it rains

@@johnanth they should just use real numbers.
@@johnanth the watches from established brand are usually more water-resistant than they say they are, so rain is not a problem at all.

Cue San Martin to reproduce the same watch with 100m water resistance and a 10th of the price 😂
