Rolex has shipped watches with different kind of misalignments or misplaced indices. In comparison to this, dust is nothing, especially since it cannot be seen without a macro lens.
@@diavalus dust on the dial is unacceptable for any respectable watch brand tbh, not just Rolex. If youre shipping watches with dust on the dial, you shouldn't be making watches.
Agreed! @Digital Landfill There should be no excuses, it isn't that hard to take a blower before assembly to blow the dial and also clean the under side of the crystal. Either they have some lazy workers or they need more refined processes.
@@steelsteez6118 I agree, but remember, in this case, the dust is not visible with the bare eye or a loupe, only with a macro lens. At that level of magnification, most brands have this issue.
Gorgeous. Charming and classic style with reliable and accurate movement. Not sure what's going on with the dust situation, though. I have 3 Longines watches and not a speck of dust on any of their dials.
I bought this same watch yesterday and I’m happy to say it’s flawless. Mine has a net total of zero dirt on the dial. Can provide pictures or a video if you’re interested
It's a chrono, 30atm is just fine, no one is swimming with a damn chrono. Come on! 🤣 Personally 38mm would be way too small with that dial imo, 40 I feel is perfect. But to each their own. Think they knocked it out of the park with this release.
Would love for you to do a video on the Tissot Telemeter 1938 and compare it to this Longines! I am trying to decide between this Longines and the black and gold dial Tissot. It’s so hard ! They are both stunning.
@@LockheedMartinF22Raptor7 Sure, but Longines is a much more premium brand than Seiko and in any case, one brand's mistakes don't justify another brand making them too.
Oh man, loved this watch until the mention of the dusty dial. Unacceptable! And an absolute deal-breaker. I’m very disappointed. Longines should not let a dirty dial pass quality control. Oh and fantastic macro video here! Amongst the best I’ve seen on UA-cam…kudos!
Excelent watch. Only one think, buckle is not exactly for this watch. This buckle longines just, practical in any watch on strap. For this model, longines can just biger buckle. This one is too gently. Thanks for movie😊.
I get that more water resistance is a nice-to-have, but as I've never unexpectedly found myself immersed in 10, let alone 30, meters of water, 30 meters of water resistance is more than enough to give me confidence for everyday wear.
For me, the Spirit chronograph beats it hands down, so much I don't like about this watch, no column wheel or vertical clutch, legibility a problem, also small size, even though I have a small wrist. Other wise just ok.
@@bboooobbyy I don't think so. my wrist 20cm and a 40mm watch is like a toy watch for me. I think a 42mm watch is not a giant watch, maybe a 45mm or more.
Well, maybe we should email all the watchmakers and tell them that they should make watches no smaller than 43mm. Yeah, because the millions and millions of men and women in this world that have wrists smaller than 7", we dont give a fuck about them. Right?

the cinematography and commentating is top notch. I can see the high production value and effort. Thank you brother.
I just got the longines record, one with diamonds and rose gold for my wife's birthday tomorrow. I'm sure she'll like it.
dirty dial at this price bracket just blows my mind
Agreed! but if it means anything you cannot see it unless you use extreme macro and a ton of light. :P

Grats. This one looks flawless as well. The flaws can only be seen under extreme macro lenses with a ton of light.
I get ya but I don’t have this problem bro so I reckon longines will replace it for ya.
Yes I might a representative at Kavar Jewellers. Longines is so great.
I would go for the Certina DS Chronograph. Perfect finish, readable and 100m waterproof
Can't say I have experienced the same with this watch. Mine is flawless, no dust. Absolutely stunning watch and could not be more satisfied.

Looks great on the wrist 👍
I think so too!
I love this channel. Can you please review the Longines Dolce Vita and Longines Heritage Chronograph?
Very nice looking watch. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Can you please do a review of the Tissot PRX Chronograph in blue dial.
This is a fucking Masterpiece

Love the gilt look and the brushing. I don't believe you mentioned the price.
I did at the end

Sorry but with that dial, and those hands, hour markers, and the high dome, AR on the outside is a must. I like it with AR both sides.
I agree. Do you have any recommendations?
I know it isn't in the same class of watches, but this one really reminds me of my Strela Cosmos in terms of design.

I see your point on the buckle. hm
Any ideas how it compares with the Tissot telemeter? Was wondering why they released that in 42mm until I saw the longines coming out at 40mm
Sorry no hands on experience with the Tissot
Man it would be perfect without the stupid tachymeter
Dirty dial. Thanks for sharing. That is definitely a deal breaker for me.
TBH i quite like it.
Omg! Too much dust! The AD needs to get a replacement from Longine.
How did that get through QC 🙄

check out the spirit chronograph with neon green always 'on' lume!!!! It should be on the end card at the end of this video
What the heck are you talking about? Actually take a look at the catalogue.
@@theaussiewhinger I know their catalogue very well. :)

Hello,
This watch is with 2894-2 movement and him have a column wheel.
I guess QC isn't an issue for you.
Constant second hand at 3 means you are getting a non-crown wheel, modular movement contraption.

Crown is lower than the chrono pushers.
Yeah because of the module It's on top of the base movement
oh comeon... 40mm again watches for small men. nice video :)
actually it looks perfectly reasonably sized on many wrist sizes. No need to overcompensate with giant watches

Dear Longines. This is a disgrace!

No, it's a Longines Record Heritage.
not bad i like this watch but the wrist band not so much looks like itchy
Interesting that a reviewer endorses a watch with such poor quality control. Did you get to keep the watch???
You can't see the dust even with magnification (I checked) so it is not a REAL NEGATIVE. It is just picked up from my super macro lens
