I always liked RJ. He struck me as the ranger’s ‘big brother’ of sorts: Someone young enough to relate to the rangers, but old enough to be able to teach them important things.
Sooo, I completely forgot while making this video that Kendall Morgan was also a Purple Ranger so RJ is most certainly not alone on that front. My bad!
People seem to forget that Koragg was the first Purple Ranger over all but yes RJ was definitely my favorite character that season. Just with how he could wise and quirky in a hippy sort of way.
UltimateDragon709 - it’s not that people forgot, but that people tend to debate whether Koragg/Wolf Warrior is considered a “Power Ranger”. As I’ve said in another video, I personally consider Magna Defender, Wolf Warrior, Black Lion Warrior and Green Chameleon Warrior all Power Rangers, since they are all “humans” with morphing powers, the same power sources as the other Rangers of their seasons and Zords, but Toei officially calls them “Extra Heroes” even though they consider Robo Knight the official Sixth Megaforce Ranger, which has always been weird to me.
It's strange to think that Jungle Fury could have easily been the last season, definitely the most underrated season, probably due to being sandwiched in between one considered the worst and one of the best, I seen it get eliminated in a popularity poll shockingly early the other day and it's a shame. There's a lot to love, can't wait for part 2, I gotta say, your videos are a great watch for any Fan!
Jungle Fury is perhaps the most unique season of Power Rangers that I’ve seen, because it’s the first one where I thought the stuff that truly carried the show *WASN’T* the action, it was actually all the stuff that went on when they were just doing their normal everyday stuff, they absolutely knocked that stuff out of the park and everything about it was absolutely oozing with charm, the ranger stuff is still good too don’t get me wrong but the normal unmorphed parts were the true meat of this show for me
Yes it is. I’ve never understood fans who were acting like the Disney era was awful and the Neo-Saban era was going to be the saving grace of the show (I’m betting those same fans have been changing their tune since Samurai). In my opinion, SPD, Dino Thunder, Jungle Fury and especially RPM are easily amongst the top ten seasons and while Ninja Storm could’ve been better, as Linkara pointed out, when NS was good, it was REALLY good with storylines like the Thunder Ranger arc, the Samurai Quest and the last handful of episodes. Operation Overdrive is, to this day, the weakest season so far, though Ninja Steel is quickly catching up, but a few idea were pretty decent like the episode “Things Left Unsaid” and the “Ronnie on Empty” two-parter and while bad, though not as bad as it’s successor, Mystic Force has Dark Wish, one of my all-time favorite PR episodes.
i may have not started watching power rangers until samurai, but from what ive seen from the Disney era i can say Disney did a very good job with power rangers.
Jeffplayz 123 We should save final judgment until season 2 starts, as it looks to have some major shifts happening. On the other hand we still haven't had a white ranger focus episode, Victor and Monty are annoying, and the villains are lackluster at best.
I absolutely loved this season because it's basically a love letter to the kung fu movies I grew up watching. I especially loved the villains based on the Five Deadly Venoms. Oh, and Jarrod/Dai Shi still has one of the baddest suits in Ranger history ever.
After Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive, I was skeptical about this season, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how great it really was. To think, I almost missed out
I love and enjoy all seasons of power rangers, but this season is by far one of the seasons I enjoyed the most for the simple fact that in my opinion having a season that shows the importance of team work and learning from each other is not only a good lesson to remember but it's also a good lesson to teach and for our society and current generation it's nice to be reminded and it's a good value to teach kids to help better their lives
Yes! This was so underrated! I loved Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Sometimes I even put on shades and pretend to morph like them! (When the show was being aired and was still new. I don't do it now.)
RJ is my favorite ranger. I always love characters who go against the norm and RJ is one of them in that you expect a master and mentor to be the rough and discipline type but RJ is a mentor who is laid back and carefree yet still can teach and mentor his team the right way and I first saw this when he used the stool with three legs method to show why the team need to be in perfect sync with each other.
Jungle Fury is underrated indeed and does deserve more respect I don't get why people pass up on this Gem of a season it's got a lot of things you can want and it does stuff differently that it makes it interesting it makes it stand out from everyone else and that's so good but for whatever reason this season gets looked over and that's unfortunate because it is so damn good everybody was great and I loved how they changed up certain things to make the season seem more interesting instead of doing some of the same things we've seen before they changed it up and therefore create a season that was more interesting and fun to watch
J Smooth Soul Beats Operation Overdrive you can debate whether or not it's bad I haven't seen it in a while so I can't really say but Megaforce is legitimately terrible because the characters and the acting suck the same goes with Samurai the characters weren't well developed at all In either season meanwhile Jungle Fury is the opposite it's a great show the characters are great and Disney brain explains it way better than I ever could how the characters here were able to grow and become standouts in the franchise also the acting and Jungle Fury was pretty good and the Zords were really cool plus that theme song was super fun to listen to
J Smooth Soul Beats my apologies I thought you were talking about Jungle Fury not the simple-minded fans and honestly even if you were going off of just the Zords and uniforms and stuff like that it still wouldn't be that great Saban is being so lazy these days it's not even funny at least when Power Rangers first started and they had to use the Sentai footage and do voice acting and all that they did their best to make the characters good and make the show enjoyable that's not the same case here which is really sad
J Smooth Soul Beats the same old recipe doesn't work every time unless you had something special to it like the original show did with the now legendary characters I wish they would try something different the same way shows like dino thunder wild force lightspeed rescue did
Loved this season. In my top 10 probably top 5 all time. Loved the Morphers. Loved casey's character and. Completely agree with him being an all time great. I've rewatched it over and over again
This series is so well made I sincerely look forward to next episode every time I watch this series. Even when the script was written during the writer's strike at the time, it was a blast to watch!
I am so happy that you finally got to this season. It is definately my favorite and I really love how you broke everybody down in this episode, especially Frannie. She is one of my favorite side characters. I can't wait for part 2
I watched this season with my friend Landon (he never watched power rangers when he was growing up) and he and I both loved this season. It really is very underrated.
Casual King I really like this season two being the third one I ever saw but I really hate that they missed the opportunity to use the white tiger spirit as a Battlizer in my opinion.
Jungle Fury is easily my favourite season of PR, whilst it's certainly short, it does the best it can with time it has to develop its characters. I always thought this team of rangers was the most consistent across the board when it came to developing each of them and allowing them to grow, whilst Kruger will always be my favourite Ranger, Casey and RJ come incredibly close, I've always enjoyed their brotherly dynamic, reminds me somewhat of the relationship between Anakin and Obi Wan from Star Wars, and it made them both great characters in a season that I find difficult to find a character I don't like
I randomly started watching Jungle Fury when when NickToons started playing Power Rangers from start to finish in marathon runs a few years back to stir hype for Samurai. I was surprised on how good it was and it got me back into Power Rangers after not watching it since Wild Force.
I’m watching it now for the first time and man. Rediscovering power rangers at 37 because of my 4 year old has been a journey. This show has just been so entertaining, the characters are solid(rj is fantastic) the villains are developed, the ranger suits and zords are awesome, and the fight choreography is fantastic. The “kung fu school” thing is a little odd a the start, but the feel it lends this show just works. Can’t believe it’s considered underrated instead of just a great show.
While I love the season, I can't help but point out the whole thing was caused because Master Mao chose to show off and fight Jarrod one handed while holding then most dangerous box in the world. Put the thing down man and then spank the brat.
Leomon2004 We’re talking about a series about rainbow spandex martial arts who’ve, over the years, fought demons, aliens, mutants and robots in giant robots. Silly is relative.
Yes this is probably one of the best seasons as well because the thoughts and lessons that it teaches in its every single episode are remarkable. I particularly love Casey who is brave and sometimes, playful.
I grew up watching this season on DVD and it was really what got me into power rangers and to this day I still know that this season will always be #1 in my eyes
Great video! Everything you said is on point. My cousin would come over every Monday night when the new episodes would premiere on Jetix, and each episode blew us away more than the last.
Luis Alejandro Garcia Mora yeah. Over here in the UK they had one each week with puzzles and competitions and a free plastic toy and, of course, a comic
I don't understand why people don't like this season or the Disney era of Rangers in general. They gave us fantastic seasons like Dino Thunder, Jungle Fury, SPD, RPM. Sure Operation Overdrive and Mystic Force aren't good but the good of other seasons outweigh the bad. Ninja Storm is ok but definitely has bright spots like the Thunder Rangers. And a big reason I love Jungle Fury is because the Rangers get their asses kicked constantly. They get better with experience fighting the villains multiple times but the villains are still threats to the Rangers.
I really can't decide. Is Mystic Force my favorite or is Jungle Fury? They both have amazing characters and great aesthetics, plus they're both super fun.
It is nice to see another view on the Power Rangers. I will admit I regret letting a preconceived bias make me skip the later seasons. I got warned about Kalishsplosions and bailed. I liked what I saw of Ninja Storm though but then got a job that demanded a lot of hours. Thank you internet! Knowing that the shows can have depth and meaning makes me happy. Thank you Disney Brain and Linkara for these retrospectives.
Having watched this for the first time a few years ago, I'd have to agree that it's a good season and underrated. I like the structure of the seasons where it feels like an Anime that can be broken up into arcs.
I have to seriously thank you. I had slept on Jungle Fury just like everyone else, but your review gave me a reason to love it. Not only is it one of my favorite seasons, but Casey is in a dead tie with Wes for the title of my favorite Red. Not to mention, Jungle Fury hits the ever important points of Red Ranger, Mentor, and Villain with Casey, RJ, and Jarrod, in such a perfect way that the only comparable season is Dino Thunder, and Jungle Fury did it without having one of those three being an adult Tommy Oliver. Jungle Fury is another season to put on the roster of all-time greats, and it's sad that it's probably the most unsung season to do it THIS well. All the others in that pantheon reap more than their fair share of praise, but us JF fans have to work twice as hard to make sure it gets the recognition it deserves.
Look having never watched an episode of Jungle Fury before today. (Yes, I regret it now!) I am just going to come out and say, cause no one has said it yet, but that little Fly character doing the color commentary during the megazord fights GAVE ME SO MUCH LIFE!!!!!!!!
I love yoyr video's so much I have always said that Casey is the most underrated underappreciated Red Ranger of all time. And gets no praise ever he is definatley in my top 5 reds.
I love Jungle Fury! Not my favorite season (that is Lightspeed), but this amazing show is what got me back into Power Rangers. Granted that was while Samurai was airing so I was a little late lol
When I heard the Greatest To Ever Do It™ line, I couldn't help but smile; one might take it very lightly, but means a lot of levels when it comes from you.
Jungle Fury was good because sometimes the rangers would lose, and they needed to overcome their obstacles and get stronger. Power Rangers is stale when the rangers always win.
@Fictional Subliminals this video was made in 2017 dino charge was made in late 2015 and ended in late 2016 so this was made a year after the series ended
Power Rangers Jungle Fury was one of the Best Seasons Of Power Ranger I Ranked PRJF Number 2 in Disney Era Because of Power Ranger Dino Thunder I Ranked PRDT number 1 because it was A legacy season The return of Tommy Oliver and Anton Mercer/ Magog. This super Villain Was badass and sidekick's.
Here are my top five five seasons 5: Dino charge, Because it felt like a breath of fresh air after the vomit that was megaforce, 4: Dino Thunder, Great characters and fantastic villain, 2: Jungle fury, unmorphed fights, complex villains and a story about redemption and the red ranger actually earning his place, oh and RJ.....Just RJ, tied first place: Spd/Time Force, Spd for a series about people in the shadows of other better people coming together to prove that they can do things just as equal if not better, plus it had a villain that scored some victories over the rangers which made him much more successful. Time force for a series about not letting the future be set in stone and a series about people of all different races and creeds learning to overcome hatred as we saw with Eric and Ransik.
Bro I'm glad I stumbled to your videos. I never gave these series a chance coz I'm a moron super sentai purist. I've been watching the American versions.. And I just finished time force. I'm mind blown. Thank you for your reviews on these
That's kind of interesting. Are you from an area where it was more the norm (like Japan), and did that cause you to ignore the changes America did? Or are you from America, but managed to entirely skip out on Power Rangers due to seeing Sentai first? I'm just curious cause majority of Americans knew of Power Rangers, hardly any of us born before 85 I would say could really say we even heard of Sentai unless we were in areas with access, say California/Hawaii. Then once the Internet really got started, most of us found out through fan sub sites, conventions, word of mouth. Some of us switch to being a sentai purist (at times I consider myself that) and ignore PR; others enjoy both as separate entities, just using some of the same costumes and mechas (kinda like Elseworld comics in DC). Hopefully I'm not being too nosy, you just had an interesting comment that I wanted to ask about.
Keith Kime actually I grew up in the Philippines where I first watched super sentai (maskman was my first sentai) then saw the Original power rangers. Then when I got here in America, I thought at first the American version is "stupid" because I've programmed my mind to just like sentai. Until I saw this guy's videos.. I'm giving the American version a chance and so far I'm enjoying it
One thing I love about this season are the monsters themselves. Some essentially have two forms that make them stand out among other monster variations. Their forms were like this: The first is a more upgraded rin si soldier with a small metal (or stone?) carving of the animal they represent on their forehead, there was even 5 versions of this soldier being the five fingers of poison. The second form was a monster form but they really did a good job making the monsters look the part on the animal theme. Like mantor (from the first two episode) looking like a praying mantis. They even have the face of the animal on their chests which is a nice detail
This season was a little bit underrated I personally loved it the concept was nice people actually using martial arts the fight scenes and choreography are pretty damn good I mean it can go overboard with the random explosions
Jungle Fury is actually my second favorite season with Time force and SPD fighting constantly for First place. The only things I have wrong with this season is that Flint gives unnecessary commentary to the zord fights and The finale ends too quickly. Apart from that it is one of the most criminally underrated seasons ever, anyone who disagrees I have one thing to say. RJ.....Best Mentor BY FAR!!
There's nothing wrong with flint's commentary on the fight. It makes the fight a little different than other ranger zord fights and the finale doesn't need to be long to be good
Just realized that Casey learning shark style makes him a tiger shark
LOL, good one!
😂😂😂😂 Gold
NICE!
Anderson Campbell I never noticed that 😦
Call me stupid but I never realised. Now a little disappointed the others didn't work out like that.
I always liked RJ. He struck me as the ranger’s ‘big brother’ of sorts: Someone young enough to relate to the rangers, but old enough to be able to teach them important things.
My first rangers episode I remember was when RJ first morphed.
yeah he was cool
Just like Tommy..
Jungle Fury is mad underrated. Plus it had a lot of good stuff especially with the unmorphed fights. Tons of unmorphed fights.
I really think the unmorphed fights here were both plentiful and high quality :)
Yep. they made it good.
MegamanNG oh and the actual kung fu...let me repeat...actual kung fu
MegamanNG jungle fury has gotta be one of my favorites
@ they do it's just that most people talk about rpm, in space and other season on that level.
Sooo, I completely forgot while making this video that Kendall Morgan was also a Purple Ranger so RJ is most certainly not alone on that front. My bad!
no worry's
The Disney Brain Don't worry, we all forgot

The Disney Brain great video
Working in the food industry as an adult I now sympathize with Fran A LOT.

The Disney Brain hi
Didn’t Jetix also disappear when it started airing?
@@pn2294 Nah, Jetix was still around
@@GooglyMoogly68 I guess it was next season then
Jungle Fury is perhaps the most unique season of Power Rangers that I’ve seen, because it’s the first one where I thought the stuff that truly carried the show *WASN’T* the action, it was actually all the stuff that went on when they were just doing their normal everyday stuff, they absolutely knocked that stuff out of the park and everything about it was absolutely oozing with charm, the ranger stuff is still good too don’t get me wrong but the normal unmorphed parts were the true meat of this show for me
I **worship** jungle fury. I binged it twice, once at 7, another at 10. I can’t express how much I love this show with words

Omar Harris ninja stall not that good well at least I won't waste my time with it then
Jeffplayz 123 We should save final judgment until season 2 starts, as it looks to have some major shifts happening.
On the other hand we still haven't had a white ranger focus episode, Victor and Monty are annoying, and the villains are lackluster at best.
Omar Harris Ninja Steel has more character development than Samurai and Megaforce.
Adrian Martinez that isn't hard tbh
RJ was like Tony of avengers, witty and smart, while having his own conflict
I absolutely loved this season because it's basically a love letter to the kung fu movies I grew up watching. I especially loved the villains based on the Five Deadly Venoms. Oh, and Jarrod/Dai Shi still has one of the baddest suits in Ranger history ever.

NasChaos25JXF8252 Imagination Good thing we took a chance on it :)

To be fair, things only went bad when jarred "sucker punched him".
🤣🤣🤣
Watch carefully,he actually didn't had time to put the box on the table as Jorrod appeared and started attacking all of a sudden.
Jungle Fury had a really good theme song except for the really silly "Dai Shi go away" part. XD
i don't mind it.
Leomon2004 We’re talking about a series about rainbow spandex martial arts who’ve, over the years, fought demons, aliens, mutants and robots in giant robots. Silly is relative.
I really dislike when a theme song mentions the name of a specific character. I was fine with them saying Power Rangers, but Dai Shi? Really?
Haha, I kind of like the Daishi go away part myself. It's actually the name of the computer folder where I keep all my Jungle Fury files, LOL.
@WellFishSticks JUNGLE FURY
This was the season that reintroduced me into power rangers
Thank you! This show totally deserves more love! It’s horribly underrated!
Yes this is probably one of the best seasons as well because the thoughts and lessons that it teaches in its every single episode are remarkable. I particularly love Casey who is brave and sometimes, playful.
I literally just got done watching this season like last week. One of my all time favourite seasons by far!!

Ha. Tiger Shark. A blue and red suit would have looked rad. Jungle Fury deserves so much more than it got.
I really don’t understand why jungle fury is even underrated. It’s awesome!
I absolutely love you for playing some Guns&Roses, made my day thank ypu
You're very welcome!
Look having never watched an episode of Jungle Fury before today. (Yes, I regret it now!) I am just going to come out and say, cause no one has said it yet, but that little Fly character doing the color commentary during the megazord fights GAVE ME SO MUCH LIFE!!!!!!!!
Jungle Fury is amazing. Been planning to get a Jungle Fury tattoo for years thats how much I love this season.
There was already another purple ranger. Kendall in Dino charge/Dino super charge
leanza Plescia Dino (Super) Charge aired in 2015 and 2016 while Jungle Fury was in 2008. So RJ was the first Purple ranger
leanza Plescia Who also filled a mentor role interestingly enough.
Isabella P. Yes I know but the way he said it was like he was the only one
She started off as a bitch but then became a good members of the team
yeah but the video is from 2017. Unless he hasn't seen Dino Charge yet, he forgot about her when he said that.
I’ve been waiting for this so long
Hope the wait was worth it!
Jungle Fury was one of the few post Lost Galaxy seasons I watched from start to finish
As a martial artist myself, Jungle Fury is one of my favorite season.
This is my childhood. Totally underrated.
I love yoyr video's so much I have always said that Casey is the most underrated underappreciated Red Ranger of all time. And gets no praise ever he is definatley in my top 5 reds.
he is my 2nd favorite.
disney era power rangers Casey is a boss
I love Jungle Fury! Not my favorite season (that is Lightspeed), but this amazing show is what got me back into Power Rangers. Granted that was while Samurai was airing so I was a little late lol
One thing I need to point out
Lilly says she has the cheetah but she's using leopard fist
I know this because I used to train in animal kung fu
When I heard the Greatest To Ever Do It™ line, I couldn't help but smile; one might take it very lightly, but means a lot of levels when it comes from you.
Definitely a season worth watching.
Actually, I think most of the seasons are worth watching. Even the ones frowned upon by diehard fans.
I don't need to say anything more about this season as this the one where fight scenes actually felt real.
RJ is my favorite character of the show because as I’ve grown up I see a lot myself in him
Man this show is very underrated. I think that’s when Disney started to find its grove with the series.
I love jungle fury because one it was my first season in power rangers and because of RJ
The most realistic power ranger series ever including RPM
Yes it is underrated , it was a great series and childhood
Jungle Fury was good because sometimes the rangers would lose, and they needed to overcome their obstacles and get stronger.
Power Rangers is stale when the rangers always win.
You forgot about Kendall and Albert being the Purple Rangers in Dino Charge!
@Fictional Subliminals this video was made in 2017 dino charge was made in late 2015 and ended in late 2016 so this was made a year after the series ended
@@Riskofrain527 he meant Jungle Fury not this video
Power Rangers Jungle Fury was one of the Best Seasons Of Power Ranger I Ranked PRJF Number 2 in Disney Era Because of Power Ranger Dino Thunder I Ranked PRDT number 1 because it was A legacy season The return of Tommy Oliver and Anton Mercer/ Magog. This super Villain Was badass and sidekick's.
Jungle fury is better than certain other seasons that shall remain unnamed and forgotten.
LOL
You know which seasons i mean. RPM's better than i gave it credit but that doesn't change how awful the theme song is.
Cough cough *megaforce Cough cough *samurai cough
Me: "Jungle fury are the most underrated???"
Also Me: *ALIEN RANGERS FLASHBACK*
Don't make think to hard about that
I understood that Ninja Storm Reference!
Jungle Fury is easily one of the best seasons. Everyone grows and learns, including the main villain and the villainess.
“In the jungle, the mighty jungle...”
I really like the last part where the red ranger is just genuinely wants to save the villain.
5:21 god I love that suit
I love Power Rangers Jungle Fury best season in my mind.
I love jungle fury, Dino thunder, and maybe Ovderdrive
When I was younger
Who remembers seeing the trailer for Jungle Fury back on Jetix and getting excited for the season?
I'm giving the American version a chance and so far I'm enjoying it
You're very welcome! Nothing quite makes my day like turning someone onto Power Rangers who wasn't too interested in it before, so thanks for that :)
Thx for choosing jungle furry
You're very welcome!
Casey is adorable. You can imagine him as an innocent child.
One thing I love about this season are the monsters themselves. Some essentially have two forms that make them stand out among other monster variations. Their forms were like this:
The first is a more upgraded rin si soldier with a small metal (or stone?) carving of the animal they represent on their forehead, there was even 5 versions of this soldier being the five fingers of poison.
It makes the fight a little different than other ranger zord fights and the finale doesn't need to be long to be good
These rangers also had some of the best costumes ever.
My favourite
And best villain designs
RJ and DILLON are my best ranger picks
Jungle fury is my favorite season
Sérgio it’s my favorite season of power rangers.
Me too
This was a great series, I loved it. There were other good series, but I still loved it. There was nothing like "Jungle Fury".
Bruh Rj reminds me of my 8 grade science teacher how he speaks and how he looks.
