Honestly as a coaster enthusiast I'm happy to see more lesser intense rides be added to parks and given attention/care. It will create a new generation of coaster lovers!
I used to hate roller coasters, but hagrids kinda brought me around on the idea and got me on Rip Ride rockit. I think I'm just in love with the sound of lsm's
Love how Universal Orlando has been going all in with Intamin recently! (then again, good to see Intamin in general seeming to have an overall resurgence!)
The should have designed that tunnel scene as if it was a cave with a bunch of rock work. They could design it as a thrill scene element where “it’s caving in” & the riders just barely make it through. Could do moving boulders that move similar to Thunder Mountains 2nd chain lift scene. Lights & jammed up sound effects & even possibly like water elements that squirt water to add even more to the elements of the tunnel caving in.
Hagrid’s turned out great! It’s fun for people who love roller coasters of all types, which is what I like about it. It doesn’t have a super heavy thrill level, but it certainly makes sure people remember that speed is included in the conversation. Very hopeful for this ride
I counted 4 moments where I would *think* there’d be ejector but you never really know until you ride it. I think without the stupid OTSR Cheetah Hunt has this will be a bit more thrilling.
I think they should put fake black scales on the sides so it resembles Toothless (the dragon) and maybe they could add speakers so we hear Hiccup telling it what to do. It would help with the immersion. PS. Rip ride rocket has speakers on the seats so it wouldn't be the first time Universal has installed those kinds of seats if they do it that way.
I'm really concerned about all these super short ride times. All these new coasters are clocking in at 1 minute long. While this one is about 1 minute, 20 seconds. I feel like Universal is going to run into a Tron Lightcycle problem. Where the ride is 90% aesthetic, 10% actual ride. We need longer rides, otherwise the long wait times are not going to be worth it.
pls change description this is not a POV this is mounted under the train. Or maybe choose another cam angle? sitting in the train would be better then mounted cam below IMO
I believe its because having lots of coasters with lift hills in the parks will ruin the sightlines of the areas/park :) keeps the immersion much more :)
If the ride vehicles need to be thin to get through the tunnels and stuff, i hope they either look like a wispering death or a screaming death cuz those dragons i think could work as a coaster! It better look like a dragon though!!!! It better!!!!
I hope the coaster has some show scenes not just an open typical coaster.. you can find those at any park. It's a good franchise but I wish they'd do LOTR instead... that would be amazing. 💕
Sadly I think this will be a bit disappointing. I love the movies but this doesn’t seem to have anything too it. Also I really think it should be like sitting on hagrids motor bike, where you really feel like you are flying, free! Just feel free.
Epic looks to be a collection of kiddie coasters. The only legit coaster will be the dueling coasters. Everything else are short non thrilling kid coasters that appear to last 30 sec to a min.
How many freaking roller coasters and simulated 3D rollercoaster rides does Universal need. Argh! How about more family friendly rides without motion sickness?
Ok these take alot of time to make and dude did not skip out on showing everything even in the 1 scene you can also see the racing coaster in the background
The EPIC Dueling Coaster seen in the background can be ridden here: ua-cam.com/video/gsoAyLLgpAM/v-deo.htmlsi=1nCmKt5q1zH5ku2f

It reminds me of Cheetah Hunt. I love it. Not every coaster has to be intense. This looks like a lot of fun and it’s pretty long.
Now we’re talking!!! Themed to my all time favorite animated franchise - my childhood. Very excited! 🐉
They are actually going to make a dragon themed park coming in either 2024 or 2025 based on how to train your dragon
😏
@@symonegreen7493Wow that sounds amazing. Hopefully they do it this year.
@@symonegreen7493Source?
It's like mini hagrid/maverick/cheetah hunt.
_finally_ Taron Jr.
taron 2.0 for sure
If Taron and Slinky Dog Dash had a child tbh
Yeah
Yep
Love how Universal Orlando has been going all in with Intamin recently! (then again, good to see Intamin in general seeming to have an overall resurgence!)
Would love to see a modern Vekoma in America tho.
@@PoffHistoryDisney has 2
@@BDImaniac A proper New Gen Vekoma
@@PoffHistoryTron LC Run is literally a Vekoma launch lmao.
@@travisvanalst4698 its not to special tho. And its basically a copy of an older ride.
Universal loves thier long ass coasters.. looks awesome
Mack rides and intimin just switched places when designing their coasters for epic universe
pretty much

This is a rendering of the coaster track, not necessarily the theming.
Call them up and tell them
Feels like a family version of Maverick, nice!
No, I think of a more of a family friendly Taron
@@kyogresfunchannel Yeah also, good point!
taron kid style
No taron and slinky dog dash had a baby
I was thinking Universal got their own version of Cheetah Hunt.
Thanks , you save the mack next to this ride , perfect touch 👌
It's look so real good job
How crazy that Mack gets to build the Thrill launch coaster at the park, and Intamin gets the family coaster.
You guys were like 65% right which is pretty good not knowing. This will be great, the theming is looking top tier.
A real intense family ride, is what I got from this.
im thinking ice breaker in the first half kind of intense if you have ridden that
Looks good but a wacky worm would have been better
agreed
You can never go wrong with a wacky worm
Ikr they should put me in charge

This looks way more exciting than the Werewolf one. This almost looks like a family Velicocoaster.
Looks like Hagrids in terms of thrill level. Fast without inversions.
Hagrid’s turned out great! It’s fun for people who love roller coasters of all types, which is what I like about it. It doesn’t have a super heavy thrill level, but it certainly makes sure people remember that speed is included in the conversation. Very hopeful for this ride
I love the HTTYD franchise, so I automatically love this.
I'm becoming a fan of the franchise thanks TO all of this!
How to tame your cheetah hunt....
Not really.
I think the second half looks pretty bonkers comapred to cheetah hunt. time will tell
Should make it a B&M “Wing” Coaster
I imagine B&M isn’t in the budget.
@@travisvanalst4698 Agreed
Universal Orlando: the lands of the multi launch coasters
Ngl, this looks like it gives some ejector on 2 hills. Looks like cheetah hunt scaled down a notch.
I counted 4 moments where I would *think* there’d be ejector but you never really know until you ride it. I think without the stupid OTSR Cheetah Hunt has this will be a bit more thrilling.
@@Acidrainia yeah
Impressive as always! Looks better than the one in UAE!
Now you’re talking!! Can you try do the Classic Monsters spinning coaster and at least the Donkey Kong coaster?
For a family ride, this thing has some kick to it
Damn, looks EPIC
This is so cool‼️ I’d like to see the Dragons ride like this!!
Are the trains still going to be dragon themed? (Basically tron trains) or is it going to be like how it is in the video?
Double Enterprises in place of the Sky Fly's were a nice touch
You have a keen eye
@@AmusementInsider Hopefully in the future we get more character experiences and food options.
Looks great

Now imaginw if they made this with like vr goggles that let you actually fly or something
lift hills are now becoming anticipated elements
looks really good, but honestly just a slightly tamer version of the dueling coaster being built for the same park 🤷🏻♂️
It's look like a baby between Cheetah Hunt and Maverick 👀🎢
Nice lil terran coaster
Very nicely done, unfortunately the "Art desagne" was neglected in the tunnel. Greetings from Germany
so cool!
Looks like a straddle coaster 🤙🏻
I'll cry if this happens
Its like a cheetah hunt, but no inversions
Wait I'm confused I thought epic universe was opening 2025 are they already open????
No this is a render
Can wait to ride it in real life
Surprised they didn’t go with some type of flying coaster like they have in Singapore
Wish they went for a launched wing coaster to fit the dragon theme.
I'm really concerned about all these super short ride times. All these new coasters are clocking in at 1 minute long. While this one is about 1 minute, 20 seconds. It reminds me of Cheetah Hunt!
could you imagine this and the other dueling coaster with an rmc 500ft t-rex model?
Universal won't go over 200 ft
If mystic timbers was a steel coaster
This better have lap bars or I’m protesting
im positive it will, universal LOVES lap bars
Hope it’s no OTS. Lap bars in this would be awesome
It looks so real! Looks nice!
Is this epic universe or Studios
Will it have a animatronic toothless
Hope so! Unknown
Why those colours for the train?
It’s probably some random train models online
now THATS a family coaster. SDMT has nothing on this lol
Oh man, what if it's a straddle coaster like Hagrid's to mimic the feeling of "riding" the dragon!?
bro they need to hire you asap
Cool video, but change your thumbnail, the red bar makes it look as if we've already watched it
I can ride Taron without going overseas😊
pls change description this is not a POV this is mounted under the train. Or maybe choose another cam angle? sitting in the train would be better then mounted cam below IMO
How many launch rides will they do??? 😂
this is fucking metal. great job omg. (your water is flickering, I'd give the waves and stuff another pass or get something from the marketplace)
Should have built a Vekoma flying coaster
This could be a family version of the star attraction.
universal has something against coasters without a launch i stg
launch coasters are best tbh
I believe its because having lots of coasters with lift hills in the parks will ruin the sightlines of the areas/park :) keeps the immersion much more :)
A launch is easier to maintain, gives you more layout possibilities and ultimately boosts the throughput which is key for Universal (and Disney)
If the ride vehicles need to be thin to get through the tunnels and stuff, i hope they either look like a wispering death or a screaming death cuz those dragons i think could work as a coaster! It better look like a dragon though!!!! It better!!!!
jesus christ this will be this park ever blows disney away this is a mini taron
This ride couldve been so much more.
Couldve done dualing dragons in cages and shit. And then like a water area with ships like game of thrones
This looks like a mini Intamin blitz
Velocicoaster Jr
So odd… I feel like the ideal manufacturers for this and the dueling launched coaster are flipped…
Wouldve been better to get a modern custom Vekoma here.
This should have had Test Drive playing.
I hope the coaster has some show scenes not just an open typical coaster.. you can find those at any park. It's a good franchise but I wish they'd do LOTR instead... that would be amazing. 💕
I'm fairly positive it will, especially since this ride seems very similar to Hagrid's
It's confirmed they'll have multiple launches with shows in between launches
It would be better if it was a flying coaster
Can you put that into Planet Coaster? That looks like a really good ride for a Mid Evil themed part of the Park.
I feel like this should have been a moterbike coaster?
universal has become allergic to chain lifts
Family Taron
At least its not another jetski coastee from intamin
It’s not a dueling coaster but ok
I hope this ride has good pacing, it can make or break this ride.
Sadly I think this will be a bit disappointing. I love the movies but this doesn’t seem to have anything too it. Also I really think it should be like sitting on hagrids motor bike, where you really feel like you are flying, free! Just feel free.
httyd 😻
This looks like a better version of Hagrids and I love Hagrids
yeah no lol
2025
Why……so much potential for a simulation ride
We already have lots shut up
Not spektakulär 😢
Epic looks to be a collection of kiddie coasters. The only legit coaster will be the dueling coasters. Everything else are short non thrilling kid coasters that appear to last 30 sec to a min.
well universal florida didn't even open with a single coaster on its debut, so for a starting point i say this is pretty solid
thats wild that theme parks that appeal the most to children have so many rides for children! -dumb dumb

just boring... Mack trie to make like intamin but can't egal intamin..
