  • The Walther PDP PRO E is one of the latest releases from Walther in recent months. This model features a polymer dynamic trigger, setting it apart from the aluminum dynamic trigger found on other PDP Pro variants. The aluminum mag well and all-terrain serrations make this pistol versatile for both duty and concealed carry. Known for Walther’s reliability, this firearm would be a solid addition to any department's arsenal.

Great little review! I'm a newbie and I picked one of these up a few weeks ago, had my local gun shop order one for me. I changed the factory guide rod to the ZR ultra mass, put on some Night Fision sights, and my holosun 507C will be in Friday. I also picked up an Olight for it as well. I love it! I don't have anything to compare it to but coming from a newbie, I think it is awesome. It's easy to shoot for me, and fits great in my hand as well.

That’s awesome I will probably install the ZR rod and spring in mine and change the sights

If that Olight doesn't end up being what u want, try a Holosun PID, it's hefty and gives that extra weight along with that ultra mass, I have the same setup.. also get yourself the Taylor Freelance deathgrips (brass backstraps)..

Is the PDP really worth it for the price when you get those crappy sights and you still have to upgrade the recoil system? Why not get an M&P 2.0 add a Apex flat trigger and call it a day?

The E definitely needs an upgraded rod and spring but the Acro is great out of the box. The S&W is one of my favorite guns and just reliable.

Or a tti combat you don’t have to change anything or add a compensator

You're 100% right. The recoil for the pdp is straight up ridiculous. It feels like a 40 not a 9mm. It's also super thick which sticks out if you carry on on side of your hip. The sights are unacceptable. The m&p with a apex trigger kit wins in my opinion. Something else to consider is that the pdp grip is slightly longer than a m&p and glock which isn't convenient for carry. With the m&p you can use the 15 round magazine for carry and use the 17 magazine sleeve for duty. The m&p apex trigger kit is super close to the pdp pro trigger. The pdp pro has a louder reset but other than that the apex kit basically matches it. The apex trigger kit allows you to choose your trigger weight and you can even add an external safety to the m&p if you carry appendix.... I believe that the pdp 2.0 will be amazing years down the road but the current version has flaws.

@@Jbird18 I've heard the TTI has issues and isn't better than the new M&P carry comp version

@Shenmue06 I've see a lot of normal people not the paid influencers, complain about the PDP's recoil but the DPM recoil helps them. Also, it's very light weight and top heavy. I just don't understand how people says it's a great gun BUT you need to buy better sights, recoil spring to make it better. M&P's are great and cheaper with just adding a Apex trigger kit.
