Baby Swans (cygnets) at Southchurch Park May 2013

2013 baby cygnets at Southchurch Park, footage is from hatching day and also from first swim!
Apologies for the pixellated video in a couple of scenes - I was using digital zoom to try and close up on the nest a bit but it didn't work that well :)

Absolutely one of God's greatest creations. These beautiful animals have it all: they mate for life, the male helps the female, the male is one of the most awesome of defenders of his family, they will defend the young to their death, and they do everything as a family. UA-cam has dozens of swan families' videos, and the more of them I view - the more impressed I am of these wonderful birds.

What is a darn sea gull doing right by that nest? They eat newborn birds and turtles!!! And momma is ignoring it! Where is papa, he will take care of that gull and shoo it off! Ah. There is papa. And three more babies since the gull was there so I doubt it got one. Oh nine! Good job! Lovely video!

At public places these birds have learned humans arent s threat, my local geese go nuts at peoples dogs near the goslings, but not people
