It's also interesting how you can see their individual personalities on display. A few timid ones, the inquisitive-but-wary ones, and then the one literal black sheep with rather more curiosity than caution...
I wouldn't call it *amazing* as such, as any animal with sufficient neural complexity has it - including at least the smarter end of lizards - but it's always interesting to watch in action and something a lot of people don't realize.
broadbandislife I would call it _amazing_ because of the complexity of certain animal behaviours. It makes it more interesting to observe and interact with an animal that shows intelligence (like rats or apes for example) and has the ability to respond to certain things in similar ways that humans do.
So cute, baby swans being protected by parents, baby sheep coming for a visit, adult sheep not far behind them, and look at the work that has been put into the farm! Trees lined up perfectly by the canal or stream. Very wonderful sight.
Such a beautiful place! If I lived there, I’d never leave! What a great mother! She was ready to take on any threat to her babies! Good of the father to come to help her. So cute to see the lambs so curious! Looks like the beginning of a children’s book! LOL
The landscape is gorgeous! I've never seen such a lovely shade of green! The Swan family certainly have the most beautiful place to call home and Mama Swan is a fierce protector of her little ones, but when Dad, who never russseled a feather said his piece the little curious black lamb finally got the message! It takes both parents, making a united front to protect the family. Great vlog, and your little dog is precious too.
This place looks beautiful. Like out of a BBC historical show. I love the green scenery with lake and sheep and swans and baby swans and the sound of birds chirping in the distant.
It really is a blessing to live just 100 yards away from this exact location. Dutch landscapes are 😊 lovely. It’s the weather ☔️ that is the main challenge! 😂
James Merryman interesting. I didn’t know that. Maybe the male swan is a bit on the older side or knew his mate had it under cover? Also it could’ve been the male on top of the nest cause I do know they switch out occasionally, right? Idk how to tell if a swan is male or female. But idk much about swans so I’m just guessing

@@theotheseaeagle I don't know how much truth there is to the bit about their memory, but as far as their reasoning, geese certainly don't seem to understand that getting hit by a car can be fatal since they never seem to be in any hurry to move out of the road and careless drivers often hit them.
When I was just a kid I once approached a pair of swans with their young and I was terrified when they started to hiss at me. But the little lambs didn't care at all 😂 Those swans here was very tolerant btw
What a beautiful place. So green and fresh looking with a little stream. Mama goose is not someone you want to mess with; I was chased by one years ago and still have the tiny scar on my leg to prove it. Thank you!
It's kind of cute that the baby sheep wanted to see the cygnets. It reminds me of children curious to see their newborn siblings.

Yes! But often with a strong wing flap and communication with one another to confirm the threat was taken care of.
