Incredible. I am growing four 6 gallons pots with trelis and one of them got 2 fruits. They realy grow fast and beautifuly. I should be harveting them soon. Thank a lot. It was a inspiring video.
Great detail for the video. It was exactly what I was looking for. I noticed a swollen looking flower a second ago and wasn't sure if it may be the melon starting to grow. Due to the information and video here it confirms that I have my first melon growing. Thanks so much
That's so nice to see the progress. I do plant it too. Waiting with patience. So happy when the flower out. But I'm not sure about male and female so just wait lol.
So cute! I just have the 2nd one right now, your melon is my same side. For the 1st one is so small than this but very sweet then I learn more on youtube that we need to wait for 8-10days after it will be more testy. Thank for good VDO, :)
Excellently focusing on every tiny details . Best tutorials for hobby gardener . Just wondering if you would do video about table grape in container with best trellis system and pruning ?
i found you through the suggested videos first your videos are very nice and more informative..i just made a UA-cam channel so am definitely thanks for all your help.please keep it up!just subbed!!👍👍
Nice Video, but the fruit looks super small or is this the variety? Have you test an experiment where you let the plant grow more leaves and compare it side by side to see if the fruits get bigger. It seem like the fruit stop growing in size after about 60 days.
I notice my melon sprouting. Have no intention to grow the rock melon. I dumped the seeds n discards in my compost bin. Then decided to empty the bin, n then found the sprouts in my trough. I don't like to kill them but never planted fruits before. Thanks for the video, I'll try n keep them alive as long as I can.
We grew melons 3 years ago at a 30 acre co-op for the 1st time. I let them ground crawl ( big mistake) this lead to powdery mildew. We never trimmed the leaves near the base or removed the first few flowers or fruits 2nd mistake. We never fed the melons after the 1st planting 3rd mistake on us. Step #1 Build a simple trellis and add old compost ( Aged manure or bury fruits and veggies down deep in the container at the bottom.) It is advised to have a container that will hold 5 gallons of soil or 20 liters of soil as not to stunt or limit plant growth. Step #2 Add a teaspoon of blood meal and bone meal every 3-4 weeks ( you feed the plant 3 times basically over the course of its life 65 to 75 days. ) and trim all flowers and leaves for the 1st 1 foot length of the vine. ( Remove any sickly leaves that yellow out or look sickly to make room for new leaves). Step #3 Once fruit are near full size stop watering to Brix up/sweeten fruit. Step #4 once melon changes color smell the stem near the fruit. It will crack and peel off and fall. Try to harvest before this happens or at a net/bag to hold it. Notes: You should get between 3 to 7 fruit. More fruit grown the more stress on the plant to feed them. ( 5 fruit max is ideal ).
It still grow self for not as fast when it 1start plus wait till it’s ripe ready to pick & most of all save the seed to grow next year that what I did wit Korean melon my sister bought 1 box from Asian store give my mom 4 or 6 she bring home 1 or 2 my mom cut 1 I took the seed save it grow it this year
@@PoPiMe pardon..may i know the exact weight tht u have used for the fertilizer and the soil itself?... fertilizer how many gram..n the soil to plant the melon how many kg?..😂 sorry for asking
useful knowledge !! so want to plant .. hehe Thank you for the knowledge! The channel is also inspiring, even for me who can only grow cucumbers so I want to create an agricultural channel. It turns out that it's hard to make agricultural channels, but it's really fun when I have new knowledge about agriculture & plantations .. For all of you, if you please, please give me a feed back. Wait

I never knew that these kinds of melons could be raised in open shade without sun! Watermelons, too! All my life I have heard that they require a lot of hot direct sun. Apparently not!
My plants were young at that time, and because it is already dry season in my region so I planted them directly in my yard. But unexpected thing happened, suddenly heavy rain poured down for several days, destroyed some plants including the cantaloupe. So I plant the seeds again but this time in the pots and in the saver area.
It can cause stress on the plant and too much water is bad for them you should not give them more than a tenth of an inch of water a day otherwise more than that can cause stress.
I never thought of watching a video till the end with no sound! Your effort is commendable ☺️
there is a sound! sound of nature! :)

Maybe you mean no music?

Tolles Video. Danke.
wait, did the plant stop growing after it grows a fruit? If so, no wonder this fruit is quite expensive.

I am loving these type of vids!
Super mini melon
BRRAVA DURT TË LUMSHIN 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Плиз выпускайте видео почаще 👏
You need at least 32 leaves for a melon bigger than that and enough sunlight
Great video. What fertiliser did you apply to the melon? And did the plant receive full sunlight? Thanks.
I'm hungry
Luckily i have an orange near me lol
Hi there.. may i ask if we can use one single male flower to pollinate other female flowers on the same stem(manual pollination)? Noob planter here 😅
Amazing
Keep it up great content!
thanks for such a great video! love it.... inspired to try but...which part of the world is this?
trying out my melon plant for the first time
Thank you for this video, loveee it 👍😍
Great video. Hope mine will work. Thanks
Question can i use a smaller 9 inch height and 8 inch wide pot?
Awesome
Mashallah
I have planted pumpkins, cucumbers, but never success 😅
may i ask, can we plant seed from that fruit u grown?
thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi.. may i know what are the fertilizer used and the components usage??🤔
since the pot is small, normally I use NPK 888 fertilizer[weak fertilizer] every 2 week.
@@PoPiMe thank youuu✨
@@PoPiMe pardon..may i know the exact weight tht u have used for the fertilizer and the soil itself?... fertilizer how many gram..n the soil to plant the melon how many kg?..😂 sorry for asking
Can you make video about mung beans please, from seed to mature please....
Good
Question: Was it ever pollinated by a second plant? Did it just self-fruit?
manual pollination using male flower on self plant
Please make more videos
you would get more fruit if you put each node in the pot, and they wouls start rooting and supply more nutrients to the fruit.
My rockmelon plants are coming to 3 month now and only had a handful of male flowers bloom. They have a lot of foliage. Should i trim some away?
Esther Lee no you should never do that
Awesome work Dude 🙂👍
Nice video!! What is the soil mix that you use?

Почему каменная? Потому что камешки под стебель подложили? Или потому что она получилась твёрдая как камень, что не угрызёшь?
Did you get the seed from a store bought melon?
Awesome video 😁❤️

Btw,how long is the plant from pot to the end? Thx
How to differentiate between a male flower and female flower?
What fertilizer do you use ?

Hey...i have a melon plant...a fruit is developing well...but couldn't a plant make fruits more than one...???
If you make it grow a lot of fruit they will be small if it has one it will be big
how many liters is the pot you planted?
How do you differentiate between male and female flowers? Do male flowers grow first than female flowers? I am intrigued.
The bottom of the female flower has an immature melon, males dont have that.Hope i helped!
Great awakening. Plz share with me the seeds.
How do you grow it bigger
i love the lotus leaf so much. is kinda cute

My cantaloupe plants is dying because of the heavy rains a week ago☹️
I will restart from planting the seeds again and follow this steps.
how can you tell that the heavy rains killes them. i thought the big amount of water the better for the plants

@@tapsfordays5548 how i can measure this amount in a big pot
Good question just dampen the soil you dont want it to wet to where the water is running out fast out of drain holes
Why did the plant die?
